They Might Be Mental

Kelsei’s POV:
Liam walked in with a new patient.

“I didn’t know we were getting anymore today” I said and Liam nodded.

“Yeah…surprise!” He said and I laughed.

“Well put him in room 6” I said and Liam nodded. That guy was pretty hot…why are all these new patients hot? Damn… I grabbed a new chart to fill in and went into his room.

“Hi Brent, I’m Kelsei your nurse” I said and he smiled.

“Hey babe” He said and I rolled my eyes. I asked him a bunch of questions and explained to him the bathroom and everything.

“Hey baby, when do we get time alone?” Brent asked.

“Never…Liam will always be here” I said. I opened the curtains and he rolled his eyes.

“Listen sweet heart…” He said and grabbed my arm.

“Let go of her!” Liam said sternly. Brent looked at him and laughed. He let go of me and then shook his head.

“Anything else you need?” I asked.

“Yeah, you…” He said and I sighed and rolled my eyes. I walked out of the room and Liam followed me.

“That guy’s a creep,” Liam said.

“He’s an asshole,” I said. Just then I saw Zayn I ran up to him and hugged him.

“Zayn!!” I said and he laughed.

“Hey babe” He said.

“Are you helping Harry Styles?” I asked.

“Yes ma’am” He said and I smiled.

“Alright let’s go” I said and we walked into Harry’s room. Liam didn’t have to come since Harry hasn’t been trouble yet. I opened the door and saw him in the same position he was in.

“Harry this is Zayn, your lawyer…” I said and Zayn sat down in a chair across from Harry. He pulled the tray over so he could write.

“Hi,” Harry said and put out his hand to shake Zayn’s. I walked out of the room and waited outside the door.

“Watch ya doing?” Sam asked and scared me.

“Shit Sam… you scared me” I said.

“SO the cute patient you like and hope isn’t crazy is in there?” Sam asked and I just looked at her.
“How did you know?” I asked.

“Bitch we’ve been friends for 10 years. I know what you think about” She said and I sighed.

“Well then….yes he is” I said and Sam looked through the window.

“Oh he is cute….get it gurl!” She said and I laughed.

“You better hope he ain’t crazy” she added and walked away. I bit my lip cause what she said was true…he could be crazy…and I am probably being crazy…fuck this shit…just then, Brent rung his bell. The light above his door went off. I went and got Liam before going to his room. Liam went in first.

“Where’s the sexy nurse…?” I heard Brent ask.

“Her name is Kelsei” Liam said and I walked in.

“There you are babe” He winked. I kept a straight face.

“What do you need Brent?” I asked.

“Oh yes, I have a little problem” He said.

“What is it?” I asked.

“Ya see this bump?” He asked and pointed to his crotch.

“I need ya to take care of it” He said and I rolled my eyes. He smirked and I went to walk out of the room.

“Wait nurse…do you think we could role-play?” He asked and I looked at him.

“Only call me if you actually need something, ok? And if you keep harassing me, I will report you” I said and started walking out of the room.

“What are you like a cup C? You have a nice ass too…” Brent said.

“That’s enough” Liam said and I walked out of the room. Liam closed the door.

“You alright love?” Liam asked and I nodded. He smiled and then walked over to his desk. I went back to standing outside Harry’s door. About ten minutes later I got tired of standing and went to my desk. 30 minutes later Zayn walked out. I quickly went up to him.

“So?” I asked.

“I don’t think this guy did it…well he did it….but it wasn’t his fault.” Zayn said.

“Explain please” I said and rolled my eyes.

“He did do it…but his doctor had him on these pills. Now I looked back at their history and Harry said he was fine with his doctor…but his doctor didn’t like his wife for some reason and was slipping Harry these pills mixed in with his allergy pills. We had a lab test done and proved we were correct. So that’s a good step.” Zayn said.

“What pills were they?” I asked.

“Maraharostein” (Totally made that up) Zayn said and I nodded.

“No wonder…that’s some crazy shit” I said.

“Exactly. SO… now we have to investigate the pharmacy and stuff…but he isn’t crazy. He is a normal human being. All of his test came back fine. He was just drugged” Zayn said and I smiled.

“Thank you!” I said and hugged him.

“Why?” Zayn asked and laughed a little.

“Because…” I said and stood up.

“I’ll see ya later babe” He said and I hugged him.

“K bye” I said and knocked on Harry’s door before walking in. He didn’t look up. I sat in front if him and tried to think of what to say.

“Harry…” I whispered and he looked at me. His face was stained with tears.

“I know you did it…but I also know why…and anyone who was on that drug would’ve done it…it’s not your fault” I said softly.

“Do you think I’m crazy?” he asked.

“No” I said. He looked me in the eyes.

“Then what do you think?” He asked.

“I think you are an innocent person who got stuck with all this shit” I said and he smiled.

“Thank you” He said and I smiled.

“Now…since I know I don’t have to worry about you, I will try to make this an easy stay for you” I said and stood up.

“So you let me know if you need anything alright?” I asked.

“Wait Kelsei…” He said and I looked at him.

“Can we talk?” He asked. I smiled and nodded. I walked over and he moved over and patted the bed for me to sit. I sat down and looked at him.

“I did love my wife” He said and I felt kinda jealous inside…but why? Oh that’s right cause I’m going fucking crazy…

“Do you miss her?” I asked.

“A little…but then again not really…I thought she was the one. I mean I would never hurt her…I had love for her, but I wasn’t in love anymore… I miss here, but she was already drifting so far away from me… it was hard to understand…” He said and I nodded mentally smiling.

“But when I walked on here and saw you, I felt like everything was going to be OK” He said and I smiled.

“Well everything will be ok” I said and he smiled.

“But would I be crazy if I was falling for you?” He asked and I bit my lip.

“No…what’s crazy was me falling for you as soon as our eyes met. All I wanted to do was hug you and say everything was going to be ok…and I still didn’t know if you were crazy or not” I said and he laughed a little.

“But how do you feel now?” He asked.

“Like I’m not crazy…and that you’re perfectly fine… I know you won’t be charged with anything…Zayn is one of the best” I said and he smiled.

“Thanks for talking to me” He said and I smiled.

“You’re welcome” I said and he hugged me. Just as I was about to pull away from the hug, he kissed me. I was shocked at first, but soon found myself kissing him back. We pulled apart and looked into each other’s eyes. He smiled and I smiled back. But then Harry and I both regretted afterwards….

“Maybe I shouldn’t have done that” He said and I sighed.

“Yeah I don’t know how I feel either…” I said.

“I mean I like you, but I feel like it’s too soon. I mean I just met you a few hours ago…an thought you might be crazy ten minutes ago” I said and Harry nodded.

“Maybe we should take this slower” Harry said and I nodded.

“Maybe…” I agreed.
