Through The Dark

Niall's POV

i arrived at ten to the airport.
I made sure I reserved the private waiting spot,
and constantly checked the time.

I'd only known Sophia for a week, and I already considered her one of my few close friends.

There was still half an hour left, so I decided to lie down on one of the couches.

I awoke to a familiar face looking at me.
I blinked, then rubbed my eyes, and yawned.

"Someone is sleepy." Sophia teased, laughing.

I blushed, and got up from the couch.

"Hey! How was the flight?" I asked.

"Good. The baby did well. She's very calm." Sophia said, smiling.

"Where is she?" I asked.

"Harry went to change her diaper. He should be here any moment now." She replied.

On cue, Harry walked in with a grinning little girl.

"Hey Horan!" Harry shouted. He took hold of one Sadie's hands and waved it.

I gave Harry a hug before turning my attention to the baby.
"Hi Sadie! You are a cute one are you? Yes you are!" I said, scooping the baby up in my arms.

She giggled, running her little hand on my face.
The curly haired girl reached up and clasped a tuft of my hair,
refusing to let go.

"Sadie! Let go, little missy!" Sophia said, half joking half scolding the baby.

"It's okay. At least SOMEONE likes my hair.." I joked.

"Hey. Are we gonna eat something? I'm famished." Harry said, walking over to me.

Sadie stretched her arms out, wanting to be held in her dad's embrace. He picked her up, rocking her.

"She looks sleepy. We can order Chinese and eat at the flat?" I suggested.

"That sounds like a good idea!" Sophia cheered, clasping her hands together. "Let's Goooooo!"

I stepped out of the guest room, freshly showered and changed.

Sadie lay On a little bundle of blankets and pillows, sleeping lightly.

Harry handed me a box of orange chicken, and I sat down between the two guys and Sadie.

We were just about to eat when Harry's phone went off.

He answered it, his brow furrowing as the speaker introduced themself.

"Hi." He said. I watched as his Adan's apple rose up and down as he swallowed. I reached over and squeezed his hand.
whoever he was talking to made him nervous.

"I know. You could have um. Told me." He said.

He listened intently,'nodding his head, running his hand through his hair, fiddling with his chopsticks.

"Really? Yeah. I guess. Okay. Bye." He said, hanging up.

"Who was that?" Niall asked.

"No one important.." He said. He focused on his food. M

"You love converse, huh?" Niall asked, pointing to my shoes with his chopsticks.

"Yeah. I'd marry them." I said, swinging my feet.

Niall laughed. "I heard you love Nando's." I teased.

"I was obsessed like last year but the fans went crazy and we're like 'I live you more than you love Nando's ' . I was getting pretty fed up with it." He said.

"Yeah. The fans see something and they go wild. A hug between Louis and I and it's all 'Larry Stylinson' or a reference in a video. It's funny, but it gets old. Like they still go on with carrots and spoons." Harry said.

"Oh. Speaking of fans, when will we start rehearsing?" I asked.

"the day after tomorrow. Rest up." Niall advised.

"I will." I said. I walked to the kitchen, picking up the empty boxes of food.

"You wanna ride home?" Harry asked.

"Um.. " I said.
How would I tell them I Like their place and wanna stay over?

"or you could stay the night." Niall offered.

"Yeah. I guess." I said, trying to be all suave and nonchalant.
I sat down on the couch besides Niall, focused on the TV.
ONCE was playing, and I glued my eyes to the screen.

After an episode, Harry yawned and stood up.
"I'm heading to bed. Night." Harry said, gently picking up the baby and taking her to his room.

"Goodnight!" I replied.

"So. How is the whole dating thing going?" Niall asked.

"It's good. It's really weird though because I barely met him and we're together like 24/7. He's really cool and always acts like a gentleman. You know, I think I'm going soft on him. " I admitted.

Niall nodded. "Really?" He asked.

"Yeah. He's just amazing. I might back off though. I have my doubts." I said.

"I know exactly how you feel." Niall replied.

"Who's the lucky girl?" I asked.

"She's kind and smart and funny. Always brightens my day, and has a quick wit. She understand me. I'm afraid of telling her." Niall said, his cheeks turning rosy.

"Aw. That's cute." I said.

I dont know know why I felt this odd feeling.
Maybe it was jealousy or longing?

"You should definitely tell her." I assured him.

What the heck. I shouldn't be feeling jealous.
I mean Harry and I have had plenty of moments.

"I can't." He said.
I was slowly ridding myself of these thoughts for Niall and
focused on Harry.

"Oh come on. Tell her!" I begged.

"no. It will ruin everything for her." He said, turning his gaze away. "Are you gonna tell Harry?"

"Maybe. I don't know. He confuses me. " I confessed.

"Same." Niall said sighing.

My phone buzzed from the kitchen counter.

I stood up up to get it.

It was a good night text from Harry.

"Good Night, love. kisses from Sadie." It said.

I smiled, walking over to the couch and replying.
My foot stepped on a long shoelace, and I feel myself pitching forward.

I squeezed my eyes shut and stuck my hands out to sustain by fall. The air whooshed out of my breath as I hit a solid object. I cracked an eye open to see an arm wrapped around my middle, my head throbbing from where I had hit it on the corner of the coffee table.

"You okay? " Niall asked, helping me to my feet.

"Yeah." I whispered. "Just clum-"
i began to say, but the worried expression On his face startled me.

His vibrant eyes swatched for visible injuries and I realized my head was in his hand.

I closed my eyes and found his lips on mine.
Startled, my eyes flew open. He. Was. Kissing. Me. AND I WAS KISSING HIM BACK. I smiled against his lips and closed my eyes. He pulled away.

"Actions are better than words." He said, smiling.
