Through The Dark

Harry's POV

We were all buckled up in an SUV, ready for a quick early sunrise walk.

(Author's Note: currently editing the chapters so the baby isn't newborn, but six or so months old. A viewer pointed out that a newborn baby couldn't possibly fly on a plane. Thank you for pointing that out! I kinda forgot your username.. )

The sky was blue, tinted pink at the horizon where the sun was coming up.
Sadie waved a fist in the air.

"You excited?' Sophia cooed.
The baby gurgled in response.

I was busy texting Simon, who was freaking out because we needed to be in London ASAP.

"Would you like to go to a party tomorrow? Niall and I have a mutual friend who's party is tomorrow." She spoke up.

"You can't go. Are you forgetting about Sadie? You have to take care of her too." I muttered.

The taxi pulled up to a stop, and we climbed out, payed the driver and seated Sadie in the stroller.

Sophia, for some reason, looked angry.

"In case you haven't noticed Harry, I'm recording my own album, learning your songs to perform next week."

"But Simon hired you.." I pointed out.

Sophia shook her head.

"Simon hired me to act as your girlfriend while he signed me under his label. I really love Sadie.. And you. But.. I wasn't hired to be your nanny." Sophia sighed.

I said nothing, but held my smolder and pushed the stroller along the street.

We sat on a park bench .
Sadie peeked her head out of the stroller to see the birds.

"I can't do this alone." I said. I tried to show conceal the emotion in my voice, but failed.

"Oh, Harry. From now on, Ill help you, with Sadie and stuff. I mean lets just see how this goes. Even if we "break up", I'll be around. I've grown close to you two." Sophia said, leaning over and placing her head on my shoulder.

"Thanks." I said.

"Harry?' Sophia whispered.

"I have a feeling we will be in New York more times. Let's just go home, and hang around until the flight, yeah?"

"Sounds great." I replied.

I took my hands out of my pocket and wrapped them around Sophia.

"Thanks. New York is quite cold at five am." Sophia sighed, her breath visible by white smoke.

Sadie gurgled or grunted, something of the both.

"Hey. We won't forget about you." Sophia said, wiggling out of my embrace and lifting Sadie out of the stroller.

She leaned back in, the little baby wrapped in her arm's, and I re- wrapped my arms around her.

This felt, nice.

"I could get used to this." I murmured.

Sophia laughed, and I felt her voice hum through her back, pressed to mine.

I leaned my chin on Sophia's head.

"As much as I hate this, we have to go. Its getting chilly. "
