Love Is For Losers

Movies and jealous boyfriends

'Who wants to watch a movie?' I heard Eleanor shout from what must have been the home cinema that she boasted about everytime we talked or skyped.

'What movie?' I asked already reaching into my bag to bring out my aray of DVD's that I hadn't already sent down to the flat before I moved in. I knew that she and Louis wouldn't own any films that I wouldn't feel the need to hide behind the nearest person as soon as something happened. I hated scary films.

'Don't know yet. Have you brought your DVD's?'

'Well, you know how stupid that just sounded. You know I wouldn't leave my babies in that madhouse!'

'True......'

'Why do you call your DVDs your babies?' Harry asked, while Niall knew exactly what the conversation was about for some reason.

'I helped to decorate and unpack her room, unlike you, lazy!' Niall said jokingly poking Harry's belly.

'She has loads of different movie posters and loads of DVDs that she sent down before she got here. I swear, Al here, has got every single Pixar film there is!' He said, looking me in the eyes the whole time, smiling. It was like he could look into my eyes and read my mind.

Eleanor walked in to the room and started nodding in agreement. 'It's true. Alexandra,' she said walking over to me and placing her hands on my shoulders, 'is a film geek. She especially loves Pixar films, because...?' she asked me, knowing I had the answer.

'Because,' I said looking for Eleanor to Harry, 'I want to be an animation artist for Disney Pixar Studios in California, when I get my degree. That is why I'm here, to got to London Art Univercity to study Graphic Design and Animation.'

'Right I think that I have the perfect film for us to watch!' Louis excitedly said as he walked into the living room.

'Insideous, really Louis? You only picked that so that I would cuddle with you. Well, I'm just going to sit next to Al!' Eleanor scoweled at him while hooking her elbow in mine, leading me through the green door into the cinema room. Harry was laughing behind us and I looked over my shoulder to give him a wink, only to see an annoyed Louis stomping into the kitchen and a dissapointed Niall, looking downwards, towards his feet, when I met eyes with him.

Once Eleanor and I had settled into the far left side of the massive lounge couch, the boys came in, all with grins plastered on their faces. I think that Harry's was the only one that was genuine, though.

Louis put the DVD in the player and sat down with Harry and Niall at the right side of the couch, handing me a pink bowl of popcorn (on his way past) that matched the blue bowl that Niall was clutching protectively in his big hands.

'Thank you!' I said in a childish accent. I was sitting nearest to the boys because El had insisted on having the arm rest and I really wasn't in the mood to fight with a grumpy Eleanor. Niall was sitting near me, but there was still enough space left to fit another three people between us. What can I say, It was a massive couch!

The film had finished and, to be brutally honest, all I wanted to do was sleep. El and I didn't really watch the film, we just hid behind each other and screamed obnoxiously to annoy the boys. But halway through the film, Louis and Eleanor forgave each other, when El silently stood, walked over to Louis and collapsed on his lap. Harry then moved to where Eleanor had previously sat and Niall moved closer to me. The three of us then proceeded to make childish 'ew' noises towards the now snogging couple.

I stood up. 'Right, I'm going to bed.' I walked back through to the living room and into a hallway. I found what must have been my purple door, just across the hallway from what must have been the little blonde leprechaun's room. the door was dark green and had an Irish flag on it. I picked up the bags that El must have left at my door for me earlier, and opened the door.

I was really shocked by what I saw. 2 of the walls were a light cream colour and the one that had the window, facing the street below, was the same beautiful, deep colour as my door. But my favourite door, the one that my bed was pushed up against, had wallpaper on it that looked like an old-fashioned sepia mickey mouse comic book strip. My photographs that I took of my favourite landscapes had all been converted into black and white and put in simple wooden frames that were hung up on one of the cram walls. Pushed up against the other cream wall was a wardrobe full of my winter clothes and a matching chest of drawers that were empty, ready to fill with the clothes from my suitcases. Next to the chest was a very professional looking sketching desk with a giant red bow on it. I started giggling & picked up the note that was placed on it, 'Just a little home coming
