(2 Weeks later, April 24th)

Ariella’s POV

I sat up from bed and looked around to see the dorm is empty. The beds that Carie and Nicki were in are neat and clean, the white blankets without a crease laid on the beds perfectly. The room was lightly lit by the sunlight through the windows. I got out of bed, walking over to the bathroom door.

“Nicki?” I said, as I got to the bathroom door, knocking on it slightly. “Carie?” No answer. I walk back to my bed, to see a note taped on the headboard of my bed.

Ariella:
Went to breakfast without you. Come join us when you awake. Hopefully you will wake up before breakfast ends. :P See you there!

Alright then… I looked over to the clock on the wall as it struck 10:30. I walked into the bathroom, took a quick shower, brushed my teeth, and got into my school uniform before walking out the door with my phone in hand.

To: Nicki:
Hey, on my way. Thanks for waking me up. XP

As I headed to the cafeteria, I see Niall walking with one of the biggest smiles on his face as he turned the corner to the main lobby.

“Niall!” I called out to him. He didn’t turn around. He must have not heard me. I speed walked to catch up to him, only to stop in my tracks to see a happy Brittney at the window, leaning on the edge slightly, exposing her chest to him while leaning on her left leg. I stepped back slightly so I hid behind the corner, unseen.

“Well, well, well, if it isn’t my little leprechaun. About time you came.” Brittney said. My phone then went off, Nicki’s text. Brittney looked in my direction but I quickly hid myself so I was out of view. I heard her scoff as usual. I took a small peek at them and saw that she was now staring back at Niall.

“Hey, you.” He said back to her. Brittney smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him to her tightly. Niall immediately wrapped his arms around her small waist, doing the same. My anger soon started to boil up inside of me. I then remembered Nicki’s text.

From: Nicki:
Hey! Finally you’re awake! You looked like you were unconscious, so we wanted to let you sleep in for a bit more. You’re awake now so that’s good :P Maybe next time don’t stay out so late with Lou! Carie and I are at the usual spot. Where are you?

I was about to respond to her text until I heard Brittney say something, that I was just able to catch.

“Where’s my kiss, baby?” she asked him, while looking directly at me, smirking. Cover blown. I then got out of my spot to make sure that Niall at least knew I was here. As I was about to walk over to them he did the one thing I would never think he would do…

He kissed her.

I gasped loudly as they pulled away. Brittney looked over to me with satisfaction written all over her face, while Niall looked at me shocked.

“Ari-“he started.

“Save it.” I cut him off. I turned on my heel to march down to the cafeteria when my arm was tugged back. He's going to lie and say that it wasn't what it looks like I know it.

“I was just gonna say that we should stop seeing each other...” He said while gently gripping my arm.

“Yeah right. I saw what just happened. Don’t try to lie out of this- wait what?” I said, the anger and the sadness coming out through my voice, when I realized that he didn't say what I thought he would say.

“I am not going to lie,-”

“Yes you are! You're lying right now... Right?” I cut him off once more.

“Don’t cut me off.” He said strictly. I still held my ground. “I was just going to tell you that this isn’t working out! Listen to me for once will you? You’re always talk, talk, talk, but never listen, and it has annoyed me lately… I just don’t want to continue doing this… Do you understand?” he said to me. I looked down. “Ari, answer me!” he raised his voice. I finally stood back, shocked that he even raised his voice at me. Even Brittney who was behind him, linking her arm with his, was with a shocked face.

“Just got to trust me on this.” My head was spinning and I couldn't focus. When he said this I can't focus on anything anymore...

“I don’t know what to believe now…” I said honestly, my voice giving out on me. Niall looked beyond pissed.

“You know what? I don’t have time for this. Just go.” I looked at him shocked.

“What?” I whispered.

“You heard me. Go. If you don’t trust me then we are obviously done. Now leave. You will probably be happier with Louis anyway, since you tend to hang out with him more than with me anyways, don’t bother.” He paused, looking around, in deep thought. “I just realized that now. You don’t ever want to be around me anymore, as if you think you’re too good for me.”

“I don’t think that! You’re crazy, Niall! Brittney probably gave you the same drug that she gave to Carie!” he just shook his head.

“We shouldn’t have continued to date, I’m letting you go, and now it’s time for you to do the same.” He said while releasing my arm, and wrapping his arms around Brittney’s waist, placing his chin on her shoulder. She leaned her head so it was on top of his, and placed her arms on top of Niall’s.

“You can’t be-“

“Oh, I am. Bye!” he waved at me with one hand and pulling Brittney closer to him with the other, Brittney smiling and doing the same action as Niall.

“Bye bitch.” She mouthed to me. I eyed her before looking at Niall.

“Seriously Niall, you’re going to leave me for her??” I exclaimed.

“Don’t talk ‘bout her like that.” He said becoming mad again. I couldn't believe this. I shook my head at the disbelief that he would turn on me so suddenly.

“Fine, I’m going. Hope you’re happy with her.” I said, with the tears that I didn’t realize were pooling up my eyes escaping down to my cheeks.Without him, I feel alone, and he knows that. I began to walk away hearing them discuss me behind my back.

“Wake up will you? He never loved you. It was always me. Right baby?” Brittney cooed at the end, I rolled my eyes, swallowing the lump in my throat. I stopped and turned around. I won't go down without a fight.

“Niall…” I said quietly, as my voice was quivering, and my tears were falling down my face. He sighed and released Brittney and walked over to me, placing both of his hands on my shoulders, shaking me slightly, giving me false hope.

“Wake up Ariella, we’re done. Hope you find someone else. The right guy for you just isn’t me.” He stated.

“Wake up.” He says again.

“Wake up.”

“Wake up.”

“Wake up.”

I opened my eyes and gasped. I saw Nicki, Carie, and even Niall towering over me with worried looks. I sat up and looked around. I’m in my dorm. The beds were a mess as usual, and so was the room. I brought my hand to my face and felt it wet. Was I crying?

“Ariella? Are you okay?” Niall frantically asked me before enveloping me in a hug. I nodded my head.

“Yeah.” I whispered.

“Bad dream?” Nicki asked. I nodded. Niall slowly released me and eyed me suspiciously. “Do you want to talk about it?” Nicki asked, knowing that it was the dream. I shook my head, taking deep breaths to calm myself down. What if Niall is thinking about doing that to me? All this time, it would have been fake for us.

“Are you sure?” Carie asked. Niall studied me intently, making me nervous. I nodded my head, smiling slightly either way.

"What is this 20 questions?" I joked, but no one found it amusing.

“Alright, but if you want to talk, we’re here.” She said sincerely.

“Thanks, but that won’t be necessary.” I said.

“Princess…” Niall started. I gave him a reassuring smile, but he didn’t believe me. Niall looked over to Carie and Nicki while sharing glances.

“Alright, well we’re going to head to breakfast. You coming?” I shook my head, not trusting my voice. They hesitated but then left, leaving me and Niall In the room. It was very silent.

Niall got up from my bed and sat in the bed next to mine, looking down at his fingers, twiddling his thumbs in circles. I got up and headed to the bathroom to brush my teeth, leaving the door open so I could hear him. I grabbed my toothbrush and placed toothpaste on it before brushing my teeth. I walked away from the sink and to the door frame to the bedroom, leaning against it.

“When did you get here?” I asked him while taking the brush out of my mouth, breaking the silence.

“Around 6:00 or so.” He stated quietly.

“Why so early?” I questioned. I walked back to the sink to spit. I cleaned and rinsed my mouth and walked back into the room, to take a seat on the bed across from him, which was Carie's.

“You already know this isn’t the first time I came early.” He said quietly.

Lately I’ve been getting dreams like the one I had last night all of this week so far. I shouldn’t be surprised he’s even here right now. He always came every morning every day this week. Usually that would be a good thing, but in this situation, it wouldn’t be. Far from it actually. The dreams were just about my past including my parents. My actual parents. Ever since Head Mistress’ speech to me back at the café, I’ve been a little out of it… Thinking where I could be right now.

Well actually, I would be dead. If I wasn’t here, the Black Cove would have found me way back when and killed me. At least that’s one positive out come from this. I am still alive. But this dream was different… Event wise… Would Niall really dump me for Brittney?

“Why don’t you tell any of us what’s wrong?” He asked me without even looking up at me.

“It’s nothing.” I said to him, while turning my gaze to my own fingers. His head snapped up.

“’It’s nothing’?" he quotes me, standing up from the bed. "Princess, this was the first time you cried from your bad dreams. You may say that it isn’t from them, but l know it is. Why don’t you just tell me what they were? Don’t you trust me?” he said sadly as he moves to sit next to me. A pang of guilt hits me hard, but then the image of Niall from my dream comes in. Trust me. He told me to trust him, yet he went with Brittney.

“I’m sorry.” I said. He looks up at me, confused and shock on his face.

“You don’t trust me…” he said almost so quietly I almost didn’t hear it. But I did.

“Niall, I didn’t mean it-” I started but he cut me off.

“Don’t.” he said while standing up.

“Niall please,” I said, getting up as well.

“Listen, whatever you were dreaming about, it won’t come true. Don’t worry about it, okay? Dreams don’t usually come true. I’ll see you around Ari.” He said while walking out the door, closing it behind him. He left. Without a kiss or anything. If only he knew what it was. I am now left alone in my dorm. The sound of my phone vibrating against the wooden night stand echoes. I walk back to my bed to see a text from Nicki.

From: Nicki:
You coming now or what? We just saw Niall so I’m going to guess that you kicked him out to shower right?

To: Nicki:
Not exactly… But I will be there in a few.

From: Nicki:
Did something happen? We can just come up now.

To: Nicki:
Sort of. But I’ll be down in a bit. Save me a seat.

From: Nicki:
Alright, if you say so. See you.

I quickly hopped in the shower and washed myself, especially in my face to make it look like I didn’t cry, as dry tears stained my cheeks. I got out of the shower, dried off, got dressed in my uniform and left with my phone in hand. Soon enough as I reached the lobby, I saw him there, with her.

Dreams can come true Niall…
