Chapter 7
Jess's POV
We finished our science project and turned it in. We got a B+. I don't care but this is going to sound weird but I would like to do another project. Mostly because Harry could be my partner but...yeah basically so I could spend more time with Harry. I was putting my bags in my locker when somebody tapped my shoulder. I slowly turned around to see Harry standing there
"H-hi"I stuttered
"Wanna maybe go on a...date" he said looking down
"O-ok"I stuttered again
"Ok. But first you can not stutter your words ok"
"O-ok"
"Jess no stuttering I'm not that scary. I understand you're nervous it I'm not that sca-" i stopped him
"Shut up Harry I'll go on the date with you just stop talking" but I don't want him to stop talking I like his raspy voice
"Oh so you like me voice"he said leaning closer to me
"Oh shit did I say that out loud"
"Yup. Now go home and get ready I'll pick you up at 8" he said then walked away
"PM. 8 PM" he yelled to me. I gave him a thumbs up and then shut my locker. Finally Friday. I ran out to my truck and drove home. When I got home I ran up stairs without saying anything to my parents or Emmett. I quickly took a shower then thought long and hard about what is was going to wear on the date. I pulled out a pair of skinny jeans and a T-shirt. I don't like makeup. I looked at my clock. 7:30. Jeez it took me forever to get ready. I grabbed my purse and walked down stairs.
"Where the hell are you going" Emmett said
"Emmett James Savage watch your mouth" my mom said
"I'm not telling you where I'm going"I said smirking
"Why"my dad asked.
"Because"I said then the doorbell rang. I ran to it and then opened it. He was standing there. In. A pair of skinny jeans and a white T-shirt.
"Shall we go"he said holding out his hand. I was just about to say yes but my dad stopped me
"Boy to take my daughter out on this date I need to talk to you first" he said pointing to the kitchen table. Harry walked in and sat down. My dad sat across from him. I stood behind Harry
"Harry what are your intentions with my daughter" my dad asked in a serious tone
"Just a dinner and then I'll bring her home" Harry said. Then Harry slapped his forehead with the palm of his hand
"No I meant take her out to a nice dinner and then bring her back here not to my house" Harry said trying not to make eye contact with my dad
"Well Harry you seem like a gentleman but tell me about your family"
"Oh um my mum divorced my dad when I was seven um then she married my stepdad Robin. Oh and I have a sister"
"Oh ok well another question who's number 28 for the Minnesota Vikings" that's Minnesotans pro football team they suck but I don't like football
"Adrien Peterson" Harry said. He looked up at me and smiled. He got it right how the hell did he get it right
"Ok boy knows his stuff. You may go" he said. Harry stood up and wrapped his arm around my waist we walked over to the door and stopped.
"I don't wanna let you go"he whispered
"Oh please just go before I puke"Emmett said
"Shut up you're just jealous because I'm going on a date and your girlfriend dumped you for another guy" I said turning around
"Jess go before your dad makes you stay home"my mom said. I walked out to my truck
"No my car"Harry said pointing to it. I sighed then walked over to it. I got in without him opening the door for me. He walked around to his side and got in
"You know usually the boyfriend opens the door for the girlfriend"he said driving off
"Whoa boyfriend girlfriend it's a date not a relationship" I said laughing
"No I didn't mean that we were dating"
"Harry I'll tell you this. If this date goes good and if I think you're nice I will date you but that's only if it goes good"
"Ok and are you going to ask why I knew the answer the question"
"The football one who did you know that"
"I studied everything about Minnesota's sport teams"he said laughing
"Then what's the pro basketball team"
"The um timberwolves"
"Correct"I said as he pulled into the parking lot of Olive Garden. We got out and walked in. We didn't have to wait he just walked to a table with Addy and Niall. Great a double date this is not going to end good. No double date ends good.
