Chapter 6- Who Was She?
LIAM POV:
My morning began with a piercing stream of light exploding in my face. Through the thin curtains, I was blinded by its brightness. The devilish light of the sun was begging for me to awaken. Feeling disgruntled, I turned to my side, wishing to fall back into my dreamy sleep.
Instead, a sound erupted out of my ears. To my surprise, it was the stupid beeping of my alarm clock.
Dammit.
I reached over to my bedside table and shut off the constant ringing. It was giving me a major
headache. With my terrible luck, I guess I wasn’t gonna get anymore rest.
I lazily opened my eyes once again, adjusting them to the bedroom light. Stretching my arms and legs, I reluctantly dragged myself out from underneath my warm sheets.
I slowly pulled myself into the bathroom, gazing in the mirror while fixing my messy hair. After brushing my teeth, I looked down at my watch. It was only 6:00am.
Why was I up so early?
Considering today is our day off.
I groaned, knowing I wouldn’t be able to fall back asleep. The boys were definitely not going to be conscious for a couple more hours.
After getting dressed, I decided to go on a run. I hadn’t been exercising as much as I used to and I needed to get back in shape.
I grabbed my I-pod and headphones while I hurried out my hotel room, not even bothering to grab a bite to eat.
I hopped inside the empty elevator and began to get lost in my own thoughts. I was beginning to question my decision on not telling Paul where I was going. I know he’s my security guard and is trying to protect me, but sometimes I just want some time to myself.
With my crazy life, I never have a moment to actually be alone.

The elevator dinged as the doors swiftly opened. Keeping my head down low, I continued on my way out.
Before stepping outside of the hotel lobby, I quickly slipped a gray beanie over my head and slid on my Ray Banz. I was praying that the public eye wouldn’t notice me.
Plugging my earphones in, I began to jog as I let the music fill up my ears while I silently hummed along.
What am I supposed to do when the best part of me was always you?
And what am I supposed to say when I’m all choked up and you’re ok?
I’m falling to pieces, yeah,
I’m falling to pieces…..
They say bad things happen for a reason
But no wise words gonna stop the bleeding
‘Cause she’s moved on while I’m still grieving
And when a heart breaks no it don’t break even, even….. (x)
I was keeping up a good pace until I began to get a painful stomach cramp. Instead of running it off, I thought it was best to rest and take a break.
Wiping the sweat off my face, I sat down on a nearby bench. Trying to control my heavy breathing, I let my eyes wander to take in the beautiful scenery around me.
While I was admiring my surroundings, I saw something someone who looked strangely familiar. She was peacefully lying under a small tree with her arms tightly wrapped around a tie-dye sweatshirt. She was grasping it as if it was the only thing she had left to keep her together.
Her hair was a complete mess and her smudged make up was easily noticeable underneath her eyes.
I watched as her body shivered intensely as the wind blew heavily. She didn’t have a pillow nor blanket. She must be FREEZING.
I felt nothing but sorrow for this poor girl. She seemed so lost and I just wanted to run up and hug her. But the thing was, I knew her. I just couldn’t wrap my head around how.
Who was she? Why did she look so familiar?
