Aislyn and Gemini (Collapse Sequel)

Chapter 1
I sat down on the bed. After a tiring week of stupid stuff to do with out GCSE's, which by the way are in two years time, I was so glad it was a Friday afternoon. I laid my head back on the floral pillow, thinking about Mum.
It's been 12 years. I have all these new feelings that I need to talk to a mother about. Florence, my stepmother, was no help. Gemini was younger than me and went to a posh private school so was definitely no help. One of the things I need Mum back for was the posh private school thing. You see Gemini and I both applied for "Queen's College London" and when the letter came only Gemini got in. I now go to some crappy school in our are called "Acland Burghley School". Even though that was back in Year 6 and now I'm in Year 9 it still hurts.
My phone started ringing. I picked it up not looking at the Caller ID.
'Hello?' I asked.
'Hey, Ash, it's Taha, wanna hang out?' Taha, Zayn's son, said.
'Sure. Where do you wanna meet?' I asked.
'Costa or Starbucks?'
'Costa.'
'Cool, see you there in around 10 minutes.' He hung up. I got up off the bed. I fixed my long, brown hair leaving it loose on my shoulders. Adjusted my big blue jumper and pulled up my jeans. I laced up my blue and black vans, got my keys, money and phone. No coat for late June. I opened the door just as Florence was putting her keys in.
'Hey Ash.' She said.
'Bye.' I said putting my hood over my head. I saw Dad, Niall, come up behind her.
'Don't be rude to your mother.' Dad said.
'She's not my mother, you git.' I mumbled. I ran off towards the bus stop. The bus arrived and I got on.
'One half return please.' I asked. He gave me the ticket and I gave him the money. I sat at the back of the bus playing Candy Crush on my phone. I got to the stop, said thanks to the driver and hurried into Costa. I saw Taha sitting there with deep blue eyes and a perfectly fixed dark quiff. I swear puberty hit him hard when he was 8 because he was perfect since then.
'Ash you're late.' He said. 'By 27 seconds.'
'Stop being so bloody good at maths.' I said laughing. He hugged me and kissed my cheek. We were kind of a thing, Taislyn. 'Speaking of maths what set did you get into today?'
'Mr Hutching, you?'
'Miss Fritton. You're so lucky that you got top set. I'm stuck 2nd to best. Dad will go nuts.'
'Mum doesn't give a shit because Mahnoor is her top priority. She is so damn clever. And Dad is just Dad and congratulates me by taking me to Pizza Express. How's your Mum doing?'
'Still asleep. She hasn't made any progress in the last 12 years. But to Dad she isn't my mum anymore. Today I said "Bye" to Florence when she said "Hi" to me and Dad said "Don't be rude to your mother." I literally could've slapped him.'
'Oh I'm sorry. The good news is that their 18th album came Number 1 in the US again.'
'No offence but I don't give a fuck about their 18th album. When are they going to stop!? Every year they are cranking out albums. Always coming Number 1!'
'I know right!'
We got into a long conversation until I looked down at my watch.
'Taha it's 7:30, Costa's closing now.'
'Oh yeah. Well this was fun.' We stood up. He leaned his head down and kissed me, passionately. I was worried, I knew that Taha wasn't a guy that messed with girls hearts but still. I pulled away and hugged him. I waved goodbye and headed home.
I arrived home ten minutes later to find Gemini, yammering on, with one of her friends, Prissy or Kissy or something, for one of her weekly sleepovers. Oh great looks like I'm on the sofa bed.
I wandered into the living room looking like I'm totally engaged on my phone. I sat myself in the armchair and curled up switching on "Friends" I just love that show! I turned the volume up, loud. Gemini gave me a death stare.
'Can you switch that off, please. I am trying to talk to Sissy!' She said. Hey, I was close with the name!
'I have an idea.' I said getting up and walking over to her. 'Why don't you and Missy over there go upstairs and vamoosh!' I flicked her nose.
'Number one, her name's Sissy and number two, no!' She said also getting up. My idiotic brother Liam walked in. I turned to look a him
'Ha, you said Number Two!' He said.
'I also said Number One?!' Gemmie said defensively.
'I know.' Liam sniggered. He plonked himself down on the sofa and brushed away his dirty blonde hair from his brown eyes.
I have a very handsome but stupid brother. I thought. I turned back to my sister. She looked really funny. Her eyes were a very dark blue and all scrunched up with anger. Her hair was falling out of it's bun. Her green sweater had it's sleeves rolled up and her collar was wonky. Her pleated skirt was creased and her tights rumpled. I started laughing uncontrollably. Florence stomped in.
'Why can I hear arguing, why is the TV on so loud and why is Aislyn laughing so much?' She asked. Paige was glued to her side like a limpet. She is such a baby. Florence looked at me. 'Aislyn stop laughing and turn that rubbish off!' I stopped and turned "Friends" down. 'Thank-you girls. Start behaving we have a guest.' Florence turned to Sissy. 'Hi sweetie, I'm sorry about that. You are very welcome in our home. Dinner's ready in five minutes.' Florence smiled. I wanted to slap that smile right off her face.
'What's for dinner, mum?' Liam asked.
'Chic-' Florence started.
'SHE IS NOT YOUR MOTHER-FUCKING MUM! OUR MUM STILL EXISTS YOU KNOW! FLORENCE IS A SLUT NOT YOUR MUM!' I exploded. I stamped up to my room and cried into my pillow.
I need you so much Mum.
