Changes

Sweet as Candy

Hannah's P.O.V.

I wish his mom didn't do that to him. I hate that she does that too him, that's why I go over, I know she won't hit him when I'm around. That's why people don't like Marcel, because he is beaten, and everyday at school he only gets beaten more. It tears me apart, but for some reason I can only look, and just let them beat him up, I don't know why I don't go and help him, I feel so shocked I'm just frozen in place, and I can't move.

"Hey Girly!" Candy said as I pulled into her driveway and she got into the car.
"Hey Candy.." I said as I pulled out and headed to my house to pick up my bags then go to the airport.
"Ok, whats wrong?" She looked at me.
Candy could always tell when I was upset. It was, like, her superpower, as well as finding great deals and getting a lot of guys. Not that she was a whore, Candy is still a virgin, but she does date a lot of guys, even the nerdy, or dorky ones. Candy believes that everyone and everything should be loved, not everyone understands that, but I do, and that's all that matters.

"I'm just upset about Marcel.." I drifted off, pulling into my driveway.
"Why, did something happen?!" Candy freaked as we got out of the car. She liked Marcel, as a friend, and hated it when people bullied him, but unlike me, she could stand-up for him. I remember in 7th grade, when he first moved here, just after his father died. He came to school with a bruised arm, when everyone asked him what happened, he said he feel down the stairs, but Candy never believed it for a second. She went right up to him and asked him what really happened, and he told us the whole story. How his father died in a horrid accident, and how his mom started to abuse him, and how much he hated his life. Candy's boyfriend, at the time, Tanner, beat him up, thinking he just wanted Candy's pity. Candy punched Tanner right in the face that day, breaking his jaw. Candy and Marcel have been close ever since, and anytime someone tried to hurt him, she was right there, to save the day. That's why I love Candy, she will be there for anybody no matter what.

"He's fine, it's just, I hate how his mother beats him, I'm so glad he is going away for the summer." I said as we walked into the door, up the stairs and into my room to grab my bags. "I really hope he will be with a good family during that time"
"He'll be fine Hannah, just wait, we'll be in London this time tomorrow, and we might even run into him and you too can FINALLY make your love connection" She laughed as she said this, but stopped when I glared at her. "Don't worry Hannah, everything will be fine" She assured me, and I believed her.
"I know you hate it when I say this, but seriously, you're as sweet as Candy."
