I Can't Remember

Anna P.O.V
We walked into the house. It was very late and I have to practice for when school starts. No matter how much I dread about it I have to go. I walked in and Selena followed.

We saw a man sitting quietly on the sofa. "Dad?" I asked. "Annabelle!" he yells as he stands up. "Dad, What happened when you moved?" I asked. "What do you mean?" he asked back. "I can't remember you moving so tell me about it" I say.
Dan P.O.V
-FLASHBACK-
"Mom, I have to get ready it's Selena's birthday" Anna yelled
as she hurried downstairs. "Actually honey, today is not Selena's
birthday" Chelsey says. "What, What day is it?" she asked.
"Monday, November 23rd, 2013" Chelsey says. Anna's eyes almost
popped out of her head.

"Annabelle" I said. "Yes dad?" she asks.
"You're 15 and you were in an accident last year and don't remember it
or anything after it" I say as tears form in her eyes. "I won't remember this"
she says. I nodded. "Anna, I am moving today" I said.

"No, what?" she asked "It hurts me to see that you won't remember any
of the accident or the days after it and it's all my fault, I knew the brake pedal
was messed up" I say, as tears roll down my cheeks. Tears rolled down her cheeks
too. "If I ever take you somewhere very special you won't remember any of it" I say as
I grab my suitcase while she stands on the stairs bawling her eyes out. "I love you Anna"
I whisper and go out of the house.
-END OF FLASHBACK-
Selena P.O.V
He told her the whole story and that we start school tomorrow. He also told us our bedroom is the third door on the left upstairs. "You pick first" I say as Anna wipes her eyes. "That one" she says as she points to the first bed. I walked over to the second and started unpacking.

When I was done packing Anna was too. "So school starts tomorrow" I say and try to comfort her. "Yeah" she says. I hate telling her every morning where she is, why she's there, etc. I think I am gonna make a note for her to read every morning when she awakes. I slowly watch as she lays there passed out on her bed.

I think I'm gonna start on it now.

THE NEXT DAY
Anna P.O.V
I woke up. Where am I? I sat up in the bed and looked around the room. I saw this white piece of paper on a desk. I picked it up and read it to myself.
Dear Anna,
Hey, this is a note for you to know why you are in this room and you probably have no idea why, right? Anyways, It's not my birthday and you are 16yrs old and today we go to school. Read the next sheet to know why you can't remember any of this.

I picked the second sheet up. I read it to myself.
"My father was driving down Scyamore Rd. and the traffic light was red and he tried pushing the brake pedal but it wouldn't work. We were going faster and faster until we slid on the road and ran right into a ditch. I hit my head really hard on the dashboard and remember everything but the accident and everything after it. Luckily, my dad only was injured but I was worse. I never thought that my dad's car would ever stop up like that.
Anna, age 14."
I felt tears at the brim of my eyes. I missed two years of my life and I never knew that. I changed clothes, put my hair in a loose ponytail and walked downstairs. "Come on we're gonna be late." Selena yells and grabs our phones. "Okay, I'm still confused" I said. She grabbed my hand. "I'll explain it in the car." I say as we get in a back out of the driveway.

I felt tears fill my eyes. I missed two years of my life that I won't remember. I changed clothes, put my hair in a loose ponytail and walked downstairs.
