Survivors

I run out the door, slamming it in the process as I make my way to the studio downtown. I barely got dressed this morning and barely made myself presentable, but all I was really worried about was getting to the studio on time. I looked at my watch as I run out to my old pacer and throw myself in. I check my watch and it reads: 4:28pm. I was supposed to be there in 2 minutes. “Shit,” I mutter as I floor the gas pedal, swinging a left and speeding for the highway, heading downtown.

I crash through the door, earning a glare from the receptionist, as I go running down the hallway. I stumble through the doorway and immediately crash into a director’s chair at the door. I fall over it, flying through the air and landing on a table that has mugs of coffee sitting on it.I fall face first onto it, hot coffee splashing all over my face. I scream and scramble off the table, jumping backwards, where I crash into the only light on in this room, a big spotlight. It comes crashing down with a loud boom, followed by glass crashing, and a few sparks. The room falls into complete darkness. I stay in my corner, cowering behind a curtain as I hear numerous people stumbling through the darkness searching for a light switch.I hear crashing, pounding, and a high amount of cursing that follows each sound. Suddenly, the lights flip on and my eyes blink in the bright light. My eyes quickly adjust to the brightness and I see people all over the room, some inches away from running into walls or equipment, others on the ground, and a few still hugging a wall from the shock of the past darkness.Suddenly, a shadow appears above me. I look up to see a boy with curly brown hair, green eyes, and dimples smirking down at me. He looks exactly like…..Harry? “I’m Ethan,” the boy says as he offers me his hand and helps me off the ground. Well he’s not Harry, but he sure is smokin’ hot! I blush and look down at the ground, hoping he doesn’t see. I look back up, and the blush must still be there, because he raises his eyebrows and smirks again. “I’m Olivia,” I stutter. He just nods and says, “I’ve heard about you. You will be the one playing April Graves, the female lead character in the movie,” he says and continues on, “I’ll be playing Nick Andrews in the movie.” I immediately perk up at this. He’s the male lead character in the movie. I immediately flush a dark pink when I hear this. This is the guy that will have to act very intimate with me, if you know what I mean. This was a romance movie after all. He ducks under the hair that had escaped my ear and looked at my bright pink face. “Someone a little nervous about zazow?” he asks as he motions to himself. “You wish,” I say as I give him a playful push and walk over to where I see the director sitting. “We’ll see how nervous you are when the time comes,” he states matter of factly. I turn around for a moment in disbelief that he said that and I see him wink. I turn back around and bite my lip as I continue walking. I think I like him as a friend? Or more?

I walk out of the studio with a small smile on my face. Ethan really was cute, but he reminded me of Harry. Uggh! Why are relationships complicated!?

I know it really, really short, but you guys deserved a chapter so I updated. School is a bitch, as usual! And I also have a 5 paragraph essay due by the 11th, plus 4 sheets that I have to fill out with a bunch of science shit! Well, you probably don't like hearing about my shitty life, so...........
