Don't Forget Where You Belong

Niall's P.O.V.

We get to the place Bonnaroo, and I cant sit still. Harry said that the girls should be here soon, but that line was so long. I decide to go buy something for Riley while we wait for them to get here. Everyone at the camp was cool, but once I had my tent up and had a few beers from the guys, which reminds me I need to buy them more beer because I may have had more than a few but I needed to take the edge off, I had to go explore. I couldnt wait. Every car that pulled up gave me a heart attack. I saw a vendor on our way in that had cool jewlery and I wanted to have something to give her when she arrives. Harry said I probably had an hour.

"Hey, I know you!" Some girl says and I fight the urge to roll my eyes. I need to be nice. I smile and put my finger over my lips as to say its a secret. She nods and shakes my hand

"Hi Im Claire" She says kindly "And I know you're NIall, can I have a picture?" She asks and my hope in the place kinda fails. "I wont post it, I dont want to start an uproar" She says Do I trust it?

"ITs kind of important that you dont post anything, I dont know if I can risk it. Im sorry" I say

"Thats fine, its just nice metting you, have a happy Roo" She says and walks on with her friends. That was easy...

I may love this place afterall. But only once she's in my arms.

"How can I help you amigo?" The guy at the wire wrap tent asks

"I'd like to buy a gift for a very special girl." I say and look at all the different stones neatly wrapped in wires making neat shapes.

"Ah, well I just made something you might like. I was thinking of the love of my life when I made them. They are 2 similar stones that represent the moon in the night sky, and I wrapped them in yin and yang shapes so that when together, the piece together perfectly. You could take one, and she can have the other."

When I see them I immidiately love them. They are copper and the stones look like the face of the moon with a deep blue behind them.

"How much?" I ask

"Im askin $175 for the pair, My love and I are traveling from festival to festival selling our art work to survive on." He says an I look at the other things in the tent. All beatiful art pieces and tapestries, neclaces made by them, wow.

"Well I only have two $100 bills so keep the change and have a great rest of your summer. My girl is gonna love these" I say

"Bless you, and have a happy roo my friend" He says greatfully

"Wait!" The lady sitting in the back of the tent. She shoots up and runs out to meet me. She gives me a hug and puts a ring of flowers on the top of my head

"Thank you!, heres some flowers for the lucky lady as well" She takes a step back and kisses the cheek of the gentleman that sold me the neclaces he smiles at her warmly and I kinda do a double take, they look a lot like Char and Harry but in 20 years. yeah I could see that happening.

I wave and head back to camp. As Im walking down the road people are passing me giving me high fives, smiles and screaming bonnaroo. I cant help but smile at all the joy surrounding me. This is what music is supposed to do. Create a community full of joy and harmony. Man I sound like a hippie. I stop at the general store on the way to the site that they have set up here and grab a few more cases of beer. I have my hands full and as if it was an answered prayer, I hear someone rediculous yell my name.

"OI! Nialler! You little hippie girl with flowers in her hair!" Louis screams as him and Payno pull up in their rental car. "Need a ride? Maybe you can help us find the camp site where we're supposed to meet up with you."

"Sure mate, help me get this beer in the car and Ill hop in and direct ya. Do you know if Riley and Char are here yet?"

"No Idea man" Liam says

They get out and grab the beers and we all hop back in the car "Go straight and then turn right at the big mummy and right at the CatDog Flag." I say and laugh a little at the silly ness

"This is my kinda place" Louis says excited when a girl with no shirt walks by and blows him a kiss.

"Down boy, we dont need anymore surprises" Payno says and I roll my eyes.

"Hey where's Zayne? He'd love this place. You can walk around smoking pot everywhere. 3 people have already tried to pass me a blunt as I walked by" I said and we all laugh

"And you accepted them right? Please tell me you took at least one hit?!" Louis says with feined desperation in his voice.

"No I didnt. Im going to see Riley soon and I want to be fully present" I say and get excited when we pull up to the camp. I look over and see Charlotte sitting in Harry's lap, They are all sitting in a circle full of Char's cool friends that harry and I met earlier.

"I see Harry, what in the bloody hell is he wearin on his feet?!" Louis says but I ignore his question about Harry's footwear and frantically search each face in the circle as I climb out of the still moving vehicle. My heart slowly begins to sink when I dont see her face....

*HONK HONK HONK*

I jump as Liam honks the horn announcing our arrival, as does the rest of the group, stopping all conversation. My heart leaps when I see a pair of big goregous eyes surrounded by golden locks gently caressing her cheeck. Her face look startled and I can see her gasp when she locks eyes with mine. That's right love, its me, Im here. Nothing else in the world matter but having her in my arms and my body instantly reacts to that thought as I lunge forward and catch her as she gets up and moves towards me. She throws her arms around my neck and I hug her body next to mine and just inhale her scent.

"You're here" My blood starts racing when I hear her voice in my ear.

"Yea darlin. Im not going anywhere" I manage to get out without bursting into tears. I pull myself together a bit, so I dont scare the poor girl by ballen me eyes out in front of her. It just feels so right to be here. Where everything is perfect. Just for a moment.

"Good" She whispers. "Promis me?" She says and pulls away far enough to look me in the eyes. I may come unhinged but Im alright.

"Riley, I make you this promise that Im not going anywhere, as long as you dont go anywhere either. I'll be our bonnaTruce" I say as I grin at my pun at the end there

She giggles, thats the best sound "Ok, I promise. I will stick to our bonnaTruce." She says beaming at me.

"Kiss me" I whisper and she all too willingly streches up on her toes and kisses me. This really is the happiest place on earth.
