Don't Forget Where You Belong

Niall's P.O.V

"Do you know who I am?!" Chase yells at the already irritated desk clerk.

"He doesn't but I do, and I'd like to know why you're looking for my girlfriend" Harry says in the most sinister voice I ever heard. If I wasn't so upset at this chump being here in might be a little scared.

"Because the last time I saw her she was with my girlfriend." Chase raises his voice at Harry making me take a step forward. who does this guy think he is? He's not Riley's boyfriend!

"I'm sorry, but you must be mistaken to think that she is your girlfriend!" I say getting very upset and ready to take this little rich kid out.

"I'd be careful Mr Horan, you wouldn't want anything to look bad for you when you have to go to court, and starting an argument with me is not going to help especially since my father practically runs this city." Chase smiles at me, only making me want to punch him harder.
Harry seems to breathe a little bit and looks over at me. I see the resolve in his eyes when he looks back at Chase.

"Well the girls aren't here. We came to say goodbye and they didn't answer so I assume they're out" Harry says completely believable I might add.

Chase looks frustrated but seems to believe Harry. "Well stay away from her if you know what's good for you" He says and walks away just as Paul walks in. Great

"Was that Riley's boyfriend? " He asks

"They are not together!" Both Harry and I say at the same time

Paul raises his hands up as if saying he gets it but then he adds "Well he seems to think they are and that's another reason to stay away from her Niall." he says and before I can respond he's out the door and into the car.

"Im not afraid of him." I say

"Nor should you be mate, forget Paul. He doesn't know what he's talking about. " Harry says not making me feel any better about the situation. Something that Chase said makes me nervous. Like he knows more than he let's on. And Paul has never been bothered by someone like he just was with Chase. I have the worst feeling and I know that right now all I want to do is run back up the stairs, grab Riley and take us far away from this place. But I dont. I let my feet take me to the car and away from my life support.

Riley's P.O.V.

He's only been gone for 5 minutes and I already miss him. What am I supposed to do without him. Geez, I sound like a lovesick schoolgirl.I said my goodbyes to Charlotte cause she has some recording to do today, and I head home so I can get ready to go to work.I get to my door in my apartment and I see that there is a note. I grab it and look at the writing and instantly recognize it as Chase s hand writing. Awesome. I don't read the note, & I open the door and go inside and sit down my things.I turn on the coffee maker because it's going to be a very long day and I turn on my cell phone.

10 Voice mails
26 Text messages

Yay.

I go to start clearing out my phone and looking at the different messages just as the door busts open.

"Where the hell have you been?" His voice sends both anger and fear through me and I back up a little. Fear being the more prominent of feelings.

"ANSWER ME" Chase yells and hits his fist in the kitchen table. I can't from words but I don't let my tears show. He doesn't deserve to see them.

"If you were with that criminal I swear..." he starts but I interrupt him

"He's not a criminal! And it's none of your business where I was. You don't own me!" I yell with all of the courage I have but it goes away fast when Chase starts moving toward me. I back up as far as I can and hit the counter.

He stops and smiles."Oh but little girl, that's where you are mistaken. He is a criminal and will be found guilty. I've made sure of that myself." He smiles the worst kind of smile. His eyes are like a snakes and the smile represents a demon.
"Unless you'd care to cut a deal." He adds

"What are you talking about" I feel the air leaving my lungs.

"I mean, that if you don't give yourself to me then nothing will stop me from having Niall locked up for the rest of his life."

That's impossible I think to myself. How can he lock up now he has no proof?

As if he could read my mind, he says "I have important people in important places and I would not hesitate to have them lock him away and throw away the key Riley. I told you that I get what I want and now I know how to make you mine. Going through your work didn't do it, so now it's him. You choose Riley. I'll give you the week." And with that he turns to leave. "Oh and don't think about running to anyone about this. I've already found out what you don't want me to know, and if I find that you are sneaking around again, he'll be in jail before you can blink." He says and slams the door. I sit on the kitchen floor and just stare at my apartment.

How did things get so messed up? He's on trial because of me. Because Chase wants me. This is all my fault. I should have never dated him in the first place. I should have waited for niall. Now he's gonna go to jail... unless I break things off and give myself to chase. I bury my head in my hands as my phone vibrates. I look at the new message

Hey love. I got my phone back and we're getting on the plane. Call you when we land. Xoxox.

That's when the tears start to fall.
