Worried
Victoria’s POV:

“How about you attend your family visit, and when you’re back we can hang out if you’d like?” I pushed an assuring smile, praying that my nervousness and fear wouldn’t be exposed. He stared at me hesitantly, and then smiled eventually. “Sure, that will be a good plan too. I’ll come over your place when I’m done.” I bit my lower lip, forcing myself to smile at his face. If he knew the real reason then I will be entirely ruined. Suddenly, a plan stroke my mind. “Zayn? (He looked at me, and I went along.) Would you to join me in a little shopping session? Don’t worry it will be a male shopping session. My friend has a birthday coming up soon, and I need your help in choosing some items. Do you mind?” As soon as I was done talking, he placed a stash of money on the table, and smiled at me.
“Let’s go!” I giggled at his excitement, and we both went out of the restaurant; riding each of our cars. If I ever asked Harry to do this with me, he wouldn’t agree. He always used to whine whenever we went on a shopping session together, claiming that I am slow. Let’s hope Zayn isn’t like Harry in this situation. His car was following mine, as I was guiding him to the area I had in mind.
…. A Couple of Hours Later ….
As we walked from one shop to the other, I made sure that every item Zayn liked; was kept on hold. Why? Because I was going to by them the day after, as his birthday gifts; smart right? We were laughing at something random together, once he froze and looked straight ahead of him. I stopped walking and glanced where he was looking; that was when I felt widely shocked. In a little café, sat Perrie and another man; sharing a delicate hand hold with a smile from each one of them, shared pleasantly. She looked happy, and I am not the person that judges an image as reality, but still this clearly looks like she has a new person in her life.
“(He whispered.) Could we leave?” I nodded, and we walked back to where we parked our cars; in total silence. He must feel hurt, but still I’m sure Perrie is doing what eventually must be done. They dropped the engagement, so that doesn’t mean they aren’t allowed to proceed with their lives. I drove back home, but I noticed Zayn’s car deviated to a different path. Should I be worried? As soon as I reached home safely, I messaged him to call me.
I won’t make him blow the happiness he had away, just for a scene he must have prepared himself for, am I correct? I guess that means I won’t be needing to call Perrie for Zayn’s birthday anymore. I clonked my heels to the inside of my house, sighing from the nerves forming deep inside of me. Just as I sat on the couch, my phone rang; so I directly picked up:
…. Phone Conversation….
Zayn: “I got your message, are you alright? Did anything happen to you? (Even when he’s sad, he still cares to ask if I’m alright; he’s making me become addicted to this care.)”
Me: “Calm down, Zayn. I just wondered why you have changed your destination that’s all.”
Zayn: “(he exhaled heavily, and then spoke in an emotionless tone.) I need to be somewhere right now… I’ll be in touch for tonight.”
Me: “Sure, but please take care of yourself; promise me?”
Zayn: “(His side of the call went silent for a few seconds, but then he answered.) Sure, don’t worry. I’ll see you later, Vicky.”
…. End of Phone Conversation ….
Where could he have gone to? I just hope it’s not back to downtown, where we spotted Perrie in that café. Zayn can be wild when he has lost his temper, but still I don’t want him to do anything foolish; wait a minute… why am I worrying and caring so much now? Why are my feelings changing? Is it right to worry about him? I’m so confused now…

Notes; In chapter 36, I mentioned that you should keep every detail read from today, in mind. This is because the upcoming ones will be depending on it (Y) :D Now, how sweet and surprising that moment when Zayn's tongue slipped by mistake in the restaurant? :D <3 I was writing it and i even had to blush myself! <3 The surprise of the today was Perrie, right?! :O Let me explain why Zayn got hurt: Its not easy to move on after a 3 year relationship, and he just needs to get used to this; even though he already is drooling over Victoria (Y) But this may make him move faster with our beautiful V.P <3 ;) Anyway! Victoria is confused, because she never felt this worried, not for Zayn's sake at least! So this means that her feelings might be growing right?
What will happen at night? Victoria spills it out? But to who? And why? And what exactly is she going to spill out? Zayn feels like this is all a mistake?! Niall informs Victoria something unexpected at all?! :O
