Lost and Broken

Avalon's POV

I had closed my eyes more than a few hours ago, but I just couldn't fall asleep. Every time I got close to falling asleep, something from the movie popped into my head and I couldn't get it out of my head.

Finally, after I tried like ten times to fall asleep, I got up and softly padded to the kitchen, careful to not wake up the snoring girls. I grabbed a glass from a cupboard and got water from the refrigerator. I sat on one of the stools that was by the island in our kitchen, which was located in the middle of the kitchen. I slowly drank my water and watched the rain fall softly outside. For a slight second I saw something pop up at the window, but it was gone, before I was completely sure I saw something.

I looked down at the counter top, tracing the lines my glass left with my fingers. I looked up again and saw a face at the window. I screamed and dropped my glass, which shattered on the floor.

The girls heard my scream and woke up. They ran to the kitchen, careful not to step on the broken glass.

"Ava what it is?" Anna asked, concerned.

I shakily pointed my finger to the window and the face reappeared. We all screamed and clutched to one another. A minute later, the lights flickered before they completely went out. We all screamed again, hugging each other.

"Holy hell, we're going to die!" Johanna screamed.
