The Truth About Us

I stood there gazing at Harry who was having a mini heart attack. I laughed, I started to bend over and hold my stomach.

"You looked so scared. They are just kids Harry." I say.

"Help me please. I'm not good with kids." He replies. I walk to them and pry the twins from his legs.

"He isn't your father." I mutter to the two of them. They nod sadly and look back at him.

"Hawwy, can yo be my fathew?" Hayley asks. Harry stared at her and didn't answer for awhile.

"Hayley you can't just ask people-"

"Sure."

"Really?" Hayley screams. Harry bends down to her height and extends his arms. Hayley jumps onto him and Henry joins in.

Why are they so determined?

Preston walks in and frowns.

"Dinner is done.. Daddy." He mutters. Harry gets up all happy and leaves, the twins following him.

I think they like him more than me.

"Hey Preston, sorry about that. I showed the twins their real dad, and they just said Harry was." I explain not sure what to think.

"Why don't they want me to be their dad?" Preston pouts. I giggle walking to him and giving him a kiss.

"He's just a fake dad." I mutter. I grab his hand and we go to the kitchen. Both the twins took seats beside Harry leaving Sarah next to Henry. I sat next to Hayley and Preston next to me.

"Thanks for the food." Sarah talks.

"It's nothing really." I reply looking at the little kid food I had prepared. The twins dug in right away, getting food everywhere. Sarah ate elegantly, while I just are like a normal person.

"So, how's the movie?" Harry asks.

"It's-" I start.

"It's great!" Sarah interrupts. She looks to see me confused and flustered. "Oh sorry, he was talking to me."

"I'm sorry,we are kind of all in the same movie." I whisper under my breath. We finish up and Sarah and Harry were about to leave.

"No! Daddy has to stay!" Hayley whines. Henry starts crying and tugging at Harry's pants. Harry looks to Sarah then me.

"Hunny, he has to go back to his place." I tell them. Both started crying obnoxiously.

"I can stay."

"Harry." Sarah gasps.

"No." Preston wasn't happy.

"Well the twins do like you. If you could." I reply. Harry smiles and gives Sarah a kiss and lets her leave by herself.

"Im not leaving May." Preston mutters. I nod and walk to Harry.

"Thank you for putting up with this." I grin. He puts his hands in his pockets, the twins hugging his feet.

"No, I'm just happy to see them smile."
