Chapter 46
Annie’s POV
I ran down my stairs in a melee of arms and legs as I inched my arms into my cardigan. I slipped on my boots and coat and skidded into the kitchen.
“Hi mom!” I said enthusiastically.
“Hi honey. Where are you off to?” She asked around the rim of her cup of tea.
“The girls and I are gonna go Prom dress shopping.” I said leaning on the counter anxiously waiting to leave.
“Oh! Well have fun honey!!” She said and I started to race toward the front door.
I skipped onto my driveway and rushed into Dani’s car. Perrie was sitting in the front seat and Eleanor was sitting in the back with me.
“Okay what color dress do you want?” Perrie asked.
“Uh, I’m thinking some shade of purple.” Dani said not taking her eyes off of the road.
“Pink for me.” Eleanor laughed.
“I have no idea. Just whatever hits me.” I laughed, anticipation rising in my gut. “You Perrie?”
“Blue.” She said with glee.
“Annie!” Eleanor squealed from outside of my dressing room. “Try this one on!” She threw a purple dress over the door and buried me as I tried to unzip the pink dress I was already wearing.
I slipped into the purple dress and cringed at my reflection. “El, this is SO not me!” I laughed. I unzipped the dress and hung it up then I put my leggings and sweatshirt back on and stepped out of the room. “I need to look more.” I chuckled as Perrie came out of her dressing room in a gorgeous royal blue dress. “Perrie, that’s absolutely gorgeous!”
“You think so?” She asked as she looked at herself in the three-way mirror to glance at every possible angle.
“Oh my goodness Perrie. You HAVE to get that dress!” Dani said walking up next to me.
“Girl, that dress is perfect. You look beautiful and Zayn would die so you have to get it.” Eleanor laughed leaning out of her dressing room, a green dress hanging awkwardly on her shoulders.
“You guys are the best! I think I will get this dress. Oh my goodness this is so exciting!” She squealed.

“Perrie, come help me look for dresses!” I said as I started to walk toward the dress racks. Perrie skipped up to me in her official dress and spun a few times as we kept walking.
“Oh I love this.” She said looking down at it.
“You look SO pretty in it.” I smiled at her as I crammed my hands between the hangers of the dresses.
“This one?” She asked holding up an ivory colored strapless dress.
I wrinkled my face a little bit. “Eh. Nah.” She shrugged and stuffed the dress back on the rack.
We looked for a couple more minutes and then Eleanor called from the mirrors with a pink dress hugging her torso. “I think I want this one!” She called. Perrie and I walked over to her and looked at the dress that she was wearing.
“That’s SO pretty El.” Perrie said shaking her head in slight disbelief.
“Yeah, you’re getting that.” I decided which pulled a chuckle from Eleanor.
“YEEE!! I’m so excited!!” She said spinning in the dress.

We continued looking and Dani ended up getting a gorgeous purple dress.

A half hour later I still hadn’t found my perfect dress.
“Maybe we should just call it quits guys.” I said glumly from behind a rack of black dresses.
“No way Annie! We are not leaving this store until we find your dress.” Eleanor said.
“Seriously love. We wouldn’t leave when you’re the only one that hasn’t found one yet.” Dani reasoned.
I nodded and continued to look through the countless dresses. A few more minutes past as I did a double take and turned around. A gold dress caught my eye as it was protruding out of the rack; a sea of blue and purple sequins surrounded it. I pulled the dress from the rest of the dresses and looked up at the girls.
“This one?” I asked.
Their eyes widened and a smile played across their faces.
“Beautiful!” Dani exclaimed.
“It’s perfect!” El squealed.
“Oh my goodness yes!” Perrie chirped.
I bounced on the balls of my feet and dashed off to the dressing rooms. I slipped on the dress and zipped the zipper. I glanced at my reflection in the mirror and I immediately began incredibly excited. I walked out of the dressing room and the girls all approved. I FINALLY found my Prom dress.

Harry’s POV
“Good afternoon gentlemen. May I assist you?” The store clerk asked us as we walked into the tux shop.
“Yessir,” Louis said, “We all need to be fitted for tuxes.”
“Excellent. Please follow me.” He gestured for us to follow him.
All five of us followed him and Liam ran up to Niall and wrapped his arm around his neck and pulled his head against his chest and placed his knuckles in Niall’s blonde hair.
“What the heck mate?!” Niall said in surprise.
“So you asked that Lizzie girl huh?” He said releasing Niall and Niall shoved his shoulder causing Liam to stumble with a hoot of laughter.
“Yes I did and she said yes so leave me alone.”
The rest of us chuckled lightly and continued to follow the store clerk. All of a sudden four other clerks filed out from behind a curtain with measuring tapes and fabrics. How do girls do this all the time? They lead us into a circular room with mirrors decorating the walls. They then lead us to our own separate platforms and the clerks advised us to spread our arms so they could begin measuring.
“So what were Eleanor and Annie talking about the other day when you flinched?” Louis asked not taking his eyes off of his reflection in the mirror, his arms spread in the same position that mine were. When I didn’t answer Louis looked at me with a mysterious smile.
“We’re not going to talk about that.” I said simply.
“Oh c’mon Haz. We all know it was something big.” Liam chirped from a different platform, a clerk measuring the length of his leg.
“Yeah. Not a lot can make you full on flinch.” Niall said from a platform directly behind me, a clerk measuring his arm length.
“No way.” I said as the clerk measured hour broad my shoulders are.
“C’mon Haz.” Zayn chuckled.
“Ugh fine. They were talking about how Annie and I haven’t,” I paused, “Haven’t…”
“Ohhhhhhhhhh.” Louis laughed.
“Please stay still sir.” Louis’s clerk huffed from his knees and Lou tried to stifle the laugh.
“And you haven’t because?” Liam asked also laughing.
Annoyance pricked at my gut. “Maybe because I have more respect for her than that?” I snapped.
“Whoa mate,” Zayn said, “ We didn’t mean to offend you.”
“That’s alright mates.” I said hoping my face wasn’t turning pink.
The store clerks finished measuring us and we came back into the main room to the front desk to make our orders.
“What color vests?” The original clerk asked.
“Pink for me.” Louis said almost glumly.
“Blue.” Zayn reported.

“Just black for me.” Niall chirped.
“Gold.” I said happily as the image of Annie in a gold dress. I’m sure she is going to look incredibly stunning.
