HALF A HEART

1 WEEK LATER

Harry's POV

" I know you've never loved the sound of your voice on tape. You never want to know how much you weigh," I sang, "You still have to squeeze into your jeans but you're perfect to me. I won't let these little things slip out of my mouth. But if it's true...it's you.... Oh it's you they add up to. And im in love with you and all these little things."

Niall stopped playing his guitar, "Yeah that makes a lot more sense. I just needed to get my harmony with you down."

"Yeah no problem mate. Is there anything else you guys wanna run before we head over to the coffee shop?" I asked.

"Nah I think we're good." Liam said. They all nodded and we dispersed to collect our things and pile into Louis' car and go to our gig.

"Hey Lou. You said El was gonna bring Annie right?" I asked.

"Yeah yeah. She'll be there don't worry man." He replied.

Annie's POV

I ran down the stairs and slid into the kitchen, "Bye Mama! El is here to take me to the guys' gig!"

"Okay honey have fun! Tell Harry to break a leg for me!"

"I will!!"

I hopped around my entryway as I tried to put my flats on and grab my jacket out of the front closet. I had chosen a dress with black tights. The dress was pink with different shades of black running through it in diagonal stripes. The straps came around my shoulders and crisscrossed on my back so that there was a portion of my back showing. The dress was tight on my torso and then draped down and came to my mid-thigh.

I skidded into the backseat of El's car and sat next to Dani. El was driving (obviously) and Perrie was in the front seat. I was so excited to see the guys perform. According to the girls, they were actually really good. They had been raving about it all week.

"Dang girl you look so pretty!" Perrie squealed from the front seat.

"Harry is gonna LOVE you in that!" Dani raved.

"Aw thanks guys! I wanted to look nice!"

All week they had been pestering me about how I felt about Harry and I was completely honest with them. I really liked him, but nothing was going to be official until I knew him better and they really respected me for that.

We pulled up to the coffee shop and we all strutted in incredibly excited to see the guys perform their new material.

"Do we see them before they perform?" I asked Dani.

"Nah. They stay back and do sound checks and stuff but they'll come sit with us afterwards and listen to the other bands perform. When they get here we'll get hot chocolate and a bunch of sweets and just chill then" She explained.

Goodness these people are so awesome... "How many songs are they doing?"

"Just two. Yeah they have tons but they gotta let the other bands go too." She laughed.

"Are you guys ready to be entertained?!" One of the employees yelled from the small stage. Everyone cheered. "Alright well put your hands together for... ONE DIRECTION!!!!" My table exploded with clapping and screams and yes I was right there with them.

The five boys walked onto the stage and took their place in front of the mics.

"Hey everyone!" Liam said into the mic, "we're gonna do a fast song and a slow song and we hope you enjoy it!! The first one is called Alive."

The music started and I was actually surprised by it. It was so catchy though.

Liam started singing and my eyes widened. They were soooo goooood..... Then Zayn..... Then all of them.... Oh my goodness they were INCREDIBLE!!! Then Niall started singing and he was so good too!! All of them were amazing singers!! They got back to the chorus and my hands were clapping along with the beat. Louis holy shit!!! Then Liam sang again.... The whole coffee shop was going insane! I was smiling from ear to ear the entire time!! The song dimmed and the entire shop went ballistic! (Sidenote: I wrote this as I was listening to it).

I looked at El, "Holy shit they're incredible!!"

"I know!! They just totally killed it!! GO LOU! GOOD JOB BABE!!"

I looked at Harry as I continued clapping. He was searching my face for a reaction. I smiled a huge smile at him and clapped harder. His mouth twitched into a smile as well.

"Thanks guys! Thanks!" Niall said into the mic, "The next one is called Little Things. I hope you enjoy it.

Niall started playing the most beautiful guitar intro i'd ever heard. Then Zayn started singing and his voice was beautiful. And then Liam started singing. Damn these guys are gooood. Oh the chorus is beautiful! These lyrics are so heart felt. Louis started singing and his eyes were locked on El and she was smiling so wide. And then Harry.... Oh Harry... His voice... And his emerald eyes were locked on mine the whole time. Oh Harry.... Oh words could not describe how beautiful his voice was, "I'm in love with you..." He sang and his stare became more intense. Oh Harry.... Then Niall started to sing his solo and... God damn all of these guys have incredible voices!! These lyrics my God!!!! Harry started singing again and his emerald eyes stared into mine. I felt tears threaten to escape my eyes. This song is so beautiful. THEIR HARMONY OH MY GOD!!! My heart was pounding when they came to the last notes of the song. The coffee shop erupted with applause again.

Harry spoke into the mic, "Thank you! We've been One Direction! Good night!" And the light on the tiny stage went out.

They jumped off the stage and came to greet us. Harry walked up to me and searched my face.

"So what did you think?" He asked.

"What did I think?! Harry that was incredible!!" I wrapped my arms around his neck and gave him a huge hug. Chills went up my spine when Harry's hand connected with the bare part of my back. I stepped away from him and sat back down at the table.

Harry's POV

"What did I think?! Harry that was incredible!" She yelled and I felt my heart skip. She rose on her toes and wrapped her arms around my neck. I wrapped my hands around her stomach and wait... Bare skin? Ohhhh Annie why do you have to make this so hard?! I looked up and saw El winking at me. I rolled me eyes as she stepped away and sat down at the table. I took the chair next to her.

"Lou will you go get everyone hot chocolate?" El asked him.

"Sure babe." He said kissing her forehead. "C'mon Haz."

I followed him to the counter and stood in line.

"So when are you gonna make a move?" He asked me.

"I'm not. I'm gonna let her decide. I don't wanna fuck this up." I said.

"Literally..." He chuckled.

I hit the back of his head, "Get your mind out of the gutter Lou."

"Hey you said it not me."

We walked up to the counter and ordered 9 hot chocolates. A few girls came up to us and acted all flirtatious about our performance and how we were so sweet. On a normal day I would've taken the hint and found the next bed...maybe even car....but I was different now. Annie's innocence really made me view girls differently.
