The Protectors

After I was sure my dad was passed out some were I finally left my room. I walked out to the living room and started cleaning up all his beer bottles. I went into the kitchen and opened the fridge and took the rest of the case of beer and emptied all the bottles into the sink. I searched the kitchen for his hard liquor, I found it under the sink and emptied those too. Here I was thinking he had finally stopped being such a drunk asshole, but again I'm cleaning up his mess. It has never been this bad though he has never laid a hand on me before, but I guess since my mother is gone now he needs a new bunching bag. Tears come to my eyes, replaying him pushing me up against the door in my head. I decide to skip dinner and go to my room. I cried for what seemed like hours until I finally fell asleep.

I woke up the next morning to "Skinny love"-by Birdy playing from my alarm. Today I wasn't in the mood to get to dressy so I decided on something casual http://www.polyvore.com/kays_2nd_day_school/set?id=109052433 . I placed it out on my bed, walked over to my vanity and did my hair and makeup. I walked to the bathroom to brush my teeth, I looked up at the mirror and saw my cheeks were still puffy and red from crying myself to sleep. I can only imagine what they really look like, after all the concealer I put on them. I grabbed my bag, walked to the kitchen to grab a granola bar and Snapple, and was out the door. I decided to walk to school to clear my head....and so I wouldn't have to see my dad yet, I was still upset with him. I walked by the blond boy getting in his car, he looked up and said "hey, need a ride cutie?" "no thanks" I decline politely " oh come on we are going to the same place." he says with a smirk on his face. I think about it for a minute "fine" I finally say and walk to the passenger side of the car and open the door I instantly smell smoke but ignore it and get in. "so what's your name?" he asks as we pull out onto the street. "Kay" I answer "that's it? just Kay?" he asks "is it short for something?" he adds "umm no, its just Kay" I say "I like it, its cute. I'm Niall" he says with a wink again, what's up with everyone in this town winking. The rest of the drive is quiet. We pull up at the school, as I get out of the car I hear a low whistle. I turn my head to look at him and see him staring at my butt. "can I help you?" I ask "nah, I just really like those pants" he says with a smirk. I gasp and start to walk away still looking back at him until I bump into someone "I'm so sorry" I say as I turn around I notice a very intimidating boy standing there smirking down at me "well hello sexy" he says I begin to back away when he grabs my arms and pushes himself against me. out of no were someone pulls me back and pushes the boy to the ground. I immediately recognize the blond hair "don't you dare fucking touch her ever again?" he yells at him and then turns to me "are you ok" he asks, anger still clear on his face. I nod and he calms down a little "come on lets go inside" he says and I follow him. when we get inside I see Maggie and Cally. They come up to me "hey" they both say and Niall walks away towards his curly haired friend and some other tattooed boy with a buzz cut. "hey" I reply. we talk until the bell rings and me and Maggie head of to Bio/Chem. We sit down "today we will be working on a lab that requires three people so get into groups of three please" miss Kelly says. I look to Maggie and before we can even look around for a third person the Luke boy sits down in front of us "hey beautiful" he says to me "umm h-hey" I reply "you look really good today" he says with a smirk "thanks" I say as we begin our lab. After about 10 minutes of working on our lab, Niall walks in and up to the boy with a buzz cut in the front of the room, when he looks up and notices me he smirks and winks. I am almost positive my cheeks are bright red and I think Luke notices because he turns around and looks at Niall, they both stare each other down with nothing but hatred in there eyes. "what is that fucking piece of shit doing in here?" Luke says not to quietly "What was that?" Niall says even louder "I said what is that fucking piece of shit doing in here" Luke says with no fear that's when the boy with the buzz cut stands up and Niall looks like he could kill someone as he storms over and gets right in Luke's face. I'm wondering why no one is stopping them but then I look up at the teacher and she looks so terrified so I get off my stool and stand between them with one hand on each of there chests, they tower over me but I don't care "stop, you guys are being dumb. This is pointless" I don't know why they have so much hate for each other but I'm guessing it is a much bigger reason than Niall being in the room. "Kay get out of the way" Niall growls. I feel Luke's hand on my thigh "yeah come on, your way to pretty to get in the middle off a fight." Luke says with a bit of humor in his voice, and that's all it takes I feel Niall's strong hands on my waist lifting me up and out of the way and when I turn around they are already beating the crap out of each other. Finally two male teachers come into the room and break them apart. As they are being dragged out of the room they are still screaming at each other.

The rest of the day went by pretty fast, now I'm getting ready with the girls. I don't know were my dad is right now but I'm glad he's not here, and I could care less were he is right now. He's probably at the bar getting wasted since I dumped all of his alcohol. Cally and Maggie both decide to wear this http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=109134039 , and I decide to wear http://www.polyvore.com/kays_party/set?id=109050640 .Right now we are in the car on the way to the party jamming to "23"-by Mike Will ft. Miley Cyrus & Wiz Khalifa. I'm really nervous but excited. We pull up outside the small house that is crowded. I can already hear the bass of the music. We get out of the car and the first thing I see is a very familiar car from early this morning.
