Still the One
Chapter twenty-nine
Charlotte's POV:
I can't be. It's... it's impossible! Well, not impossible, but still this can't be happening! How can this have happened? We were always safe, maybe the test was wrong. I could just have some sort of disease that shows all signs of pregnancy, but isn't. Yeah, I bet that's what it is, a easily curable illness that I don't need to worry about. But what if it's not? What if I actually am pregnant? What will Harry say? Oh god, he's just about to audition for X Factor, and knowing how good he is, he'll defiantly go all the way and then I'll be left here to cope all by myself. I can't do this.
Sobs rippled through me as I realised it's up to me now, I'll have to do it alone. Should I even tell him? Maybe I should just say that it's not working out, and I don't love him any more. But then I'd be lying because I do love him, in fact I'm in love with him. No I have to give him chance; maybe he'll want to help?
I think my phone has actually exploded from the amount of times Sophie and Harry have called me over the last three days. I answered one of Harry's, but I really wish that I didn't; I blew up on up like Mt. Vesuvius, all he did was ask me if I was okay and I erupted. Ugh, why are my hormones so crazy?
I suppose I should make some contact with Sophie, she is my best friend after all. Should I tell her? She'll be supportive of me right? Ugh, my mind is so messed up right now.
*Ring ring*
Sophie. I can do thins, pull your self together girl!
"Hi Soph." I answered in a shaky tone. Ugh, that was smart, now she'll know that something's wrong.
"Hi Charlotte, I was just wondering if you could come to mine; I really need your help with something?" Should I go? I can't bail on her again can I?
"Umm, yeah I suppose so, what is it?" No turning back now.
"Oh I'll tell you about it when you get here."
"Okay, I'll see you in about 30 minutes." I replied before hanging up. Normally, it would only take about 3 minutes to get to her house, but I need to make myself look somewhat presentable.
-
"...and that's my problem," I didn't hear a single word she said as another wave of nausea crashed into me, "umm... are you okay Char? You look like you're going to be sick." Instead of responding to her like I normally would, I made a quick dash to her bathroom, and knelt in front of the toilet before violently throwing up like I have been doing these past few days.
"Do you have a sickness bug? You look terrible."
"Thanks a lot! And, no, I don't have a sickness bug."
"What's wrong then?"
"I'm... pregnant."
