Still the One
Chapter twenty-six
Harry's POV:
Today is the 7th of March 2010. Also known as Charlotte Alexis Stanley's 16th birthday, and only 35 days away from my big audition. I still can't believe that she would do something like that for me, I mean I'd told her how I've always wanted to go for it one day, but wow. It was so thoughtful of her, and it's made it impossible to get her a gift that lives up to the standards she set with mine.
After a lot of thinking, I bought her a charm bracelet that I had made for her, using charms that represented something in our relationship. The present needed to be personal, it needed to have lots of thought behind it because she means so much to me, and to be honest I never want to loose her. Of course I've had girlfriends before, but this feeling is something I've never experienced. Love. I don't just love her, I'm in love with her, but I'm too cowardly to tell her. She tells me she loves me. but what if she's not in love with me, or she doesn't mean it? What if me telling her scares her away, and I'm left broken-hearted.
I can't lose her.
Luckily, today is a Sunday so I have all day to spend with her and present her with her gift. My favourite charm is the little coffee cup which symbolises our first kiss in the coffee shop we went to. However, I also love the miniature golf club which shows our first date. I remember that day as if it was yesterday.
~ Flashback ~
"Harryyyy," Charlotte whined, dragging out the y, "Where are we going?" We are currently on our way to our first date, and I won't tell her where we're going. Obviously, surprises aren't her favourite thing as she hasn't stopped bugging me about it since we set off fifteen minutes ago, and I'm so close to giving.
"No, it wouldn't be a surprise if I told you would it?" I chuckled as she groaned when I said this, evidently not pleased with my answer.
"You're such a big meanie!" She said sticking her tongue out before going back to pouting like a little child. She's so cute and childish. This is a side of her I've never seen before, and l love it. It's so depressing when people act way older then they are, if it was up to me we would stay children forever and never grow up. I could be Peter Pan and she could be Wendy. We could just fly off to Neverland whenever we desired, never ageing. How amazing would that be.
"Well we're here now anyway, you little baby!" I said, pulling up into the car park.
"Crazy golf?"
"Yeah, come on it'll be fun!" I picked crazy golf as I wanted to do something fun and have a laugh.
"Okay, you're going down Styles."
"Oh yeah, what makes you so sure of that?"
"l'm not trying to brag or anything but l'm amazing at this game."
"Hmm, l'll believe it when l see it." By the time we had got to the third hole, I realised she was just buffing. She was terrible.
It was adorable to watch her struggle to get the ball in the hole, the look of concentration of her face, and the joy that took over when she finally made a shot on target was captivating.
~ End of Flashback ~
The grin couldn't be wiped off my face as I remembered the events of that night. By the end of it, we were both in hysterics, laughing about how shocking we were, and i wouldn't change it for the world.
