Still the One

Harry's POV:

For once, I actually didn't mind the presentation as I was sat with my beautiful girlfriend Charlotte Stanley. I was so relieved that she'd said yes; for a minute I thought she was going to reject me. I've only properly known her a couple of days, yet she's already changed me for the better. She's made me realise how much of a jerk I was before, and I've never wanted to be like that. Popularity messes with your head, it puts you under a spell. A spell that makes you do stupid things, that are totally outside of your character, and it makes you become someone else, someone you are not. You believe you are the best even though you should be the bottom. Anyone who picks on innocent girls like Charlotte just to gain 'friends' are scum, and I feel so guilty for ever doing something to upset her. From now on, I'm going to keep her safe, there is no way I'm going to let Kyle, James or Becky say anything to her.

She has made me realise that I never actually had any friends, no one likes me for me it was all for fame in school. I've had enough of it, and from now on I am not going to associate with people like that; it's just wrong.

Ugh. Now we have to go and socialise with everyone in our year. Everyone will have a field day when they found out that 'the most popular boy in school' and 'the girl who only has one friend' are a couple, especially Kyle. He's bound to make fun of me for choosing her, but I don't give a damn. He can become Mr. Popular 'cause I don't want to have that title - I never did want it!
