A New Year's Love

~Milly's P.O.V.~

"Come on, we're gonna be late to watch the ball drop," Kat said as she tried to pull me out of my chair.
"Do I have to go?" I asked.
"Yes. It's celebrating 2020! Why would you not go?" Kat replied, pulling me out of the chair and pushing me towards the bathroom.
"Fine. I'll go. But only for you," I said to her before going to my room and picking out my outfit.
Kat and I decided to get an apartment together after high-school, since neither of us were interested in college. It's a two-bedroom and one bathroom, with a kitchen and living room. I know it's small, but it's cozy.
I picked out a pair of black skinny-jeans with a matching black crop-top that read 'Celebrate!' on it. After that, I went to the bathroom and put on some light mascara and eye liner, with a little bit of grey-ish white-ish eye shadow. Then, I curled the ends of my hair a little and let it flow down my side. By then, it was already 10:45.
"Okay Kat, I think I'm ready," I called out while grabbing my coat and purse.
"Great! Let's go!" Kat replied excitedly while running into the room. We went out to her car and she started to drive to the town square. I hope this won't be as pointless as I think it will.
