Maddies Pov

I sigh as I walk through the doors of high school keeping my head low as everyone around me was talking about what they did during the summer. I didn't really do much other than hang with my best friends Sophie and Louis but that was pretty much it. Oh and I also went on my laptop quite a lot. "Hey!" Sophie greeted me engulfing me in a tight hug. "Hey..." I say laughing lightly as I tried to get out of her menacing grip. "We haven't seen each other for ages." She says pouting as she looks at me. "Sophie... It was last week" I say rolling my eyes as I look at her. "Great it's Zayn and the other bad-asses..." She mumbles and I just ignore them as I open my locker placing some folders in there as everybody suddenly goes silent. I turn around and look at Sophie "Why are people so scared of them?" I whisper as I watch them casually stroll down the middle of the hallway. I obviously haven't had to fight with them or anything yet, but I didn't see what the big deal was.

Their 'gang' consisted of 4 guys and one girl... Jessica. She was a real bitch and it was obvious she had a thing for Zayn and I was her main target. I mean what did I do to her to make her hate me so much? Zayn is the leader of their worthless gang and is always trying to chat up girls. Every month he uses someone the leaves them with a broken heart. Luckily, he's never tried chatting up me which I'm thankful for. The other guys are Liam, Harry and Niall. They were basically just his followers who didn't really have a big part in the gang just like Jessica.

When I eventually snap out of my daydream I turn around and see Zayn staring at me as he walks past me. I roll my eyes as I look away. "We better get going or we'll be late for class..." I say to Sophie and she nods as we get out our folders and walked to drama. I didn't think the stare meant anything... I at least hope not...
