#o5 Date, or, whatever...
Harry is really annoying the hell out of me. “I’m waiting,” I say. I swear, sometimes I wonder if Harry’s a girl. Well, he does like his mirror image. “You have two minutes, or I leave alone.” “No way Payne!” Harry appears, takes his jacket and says: “Come on, let’s go,” like he didn’t just spent the last hour in the bathroom. “Liam!” Louis calls. “Don’t have too much fun tonight.” “ Okay mom!” Harry and I yell back.
On our way to Alysha and Gwenn, Harry and I don’t talk much. “Are you nervous?” I ask teasingly. “Yup,” Harry laughs. “Tell me again why you wanted me to come.” “Because Zayn wanted me to go and I need somebody to separate the Siamese twins.” “Okay. But what are you waiting for?” Without noticing, I’d stopped walking. “Come on.” Harry drags me to their house. Before he can ring the bell, Gwenn opens the door. “Pfft, and I thought we had to make you wait.” “Such a warm welcome,” I laugh. “Yes, come in. I’m Gwenn by the way,” she introduces herself to Harry. “Harry.” I look at him, surprised. He appears… shy? I’ve never seen that before. Interesting… “What are you waiting for, come in.” Gwenn brings us to the living room, where Alysha lays on the couch. I try not to stare, but she’s made it pretty difficult for me. “If starring is all you’re going to do, this is going to be a long night Liam,” she laughs. I flush.
It was a quiet evening. No screaming fans, just the four of us. Nice for a change. During dinner, I mostly listen to Harry’s and Gwenn’s conversation, which is hilarious. But I can see that they are having a good time. After dinner, we went for a walk. “I say we leave the two love birds alone,” Alysha whispers. “Sounds like a plan.” “Guys, it’s impolite to whisper,” Gwenn says. “Yeah, you know what. I’ll see you tonight. Or tomorrow. In that case...” Gwenn gives her a meaningful look and she shuts up.
We head for a park. It is a warm summer night and it is still warm. We sit near a bench and none of us speaks. But the silence isn’t awkward or anything, until I hear multiple voices squeak my name. Seriously? Alysha gives me a troubled look. “Relax, okay, it won’t take long.” I get up and talk to the girls, take a few photo’s… “Is that your girlfriend?” one of the girls asks suddenly. I shake my head, “No, just a friend or no, working on it?” she laughs. “I’m not sure yet.” “Well, good luck.” After a few minutes, they leave and I turn to Alysha again. “Sorry about that.” She gets up. “Can we leave.” She seems nervous. “Hey, what’s wrong?” “Can we just leave,” she repeats, while starring at the ground. We get back to the car. “What about Gwenn and Harry?” Alysha asks. “They’ll figure something out.”
“Thank you,” Alysha says. “You want something to drink?” she asks. “Yeah, sure.” I swallow while I follow her inside. This could be my chance. I sneak up behind her when she’s making us tea, but I freeze when I see a tear on her cheek. “Hey, what’s wrong?” She shakes her head. “It’s silly.” I pull her in a hug and try to comfort her. In the meanwhile, I also try to keep calm. “Everything will be fine,” I whisper, even though I know it’s a lie.
