#o1 Assignment
I make my way to the building where it all started, where my life officialy became a disaster. The worst part of this all? Lots of people love me, while I am acually a monster. The only thing that keeps me going is the knowledge that I protect them.
Last night, I'd received a message that Conrad had a new assignment for me. So here I am, on a cold Sunday morning, to hear who my next victim would be. “Good morning Liam,” James greets me. I don't respond. It is strange. All that every single person in this building does, is ruining others lifes. And yet, when I come here, everybody is friendly, smiling, like what they do is not totally despicable.
Conrad doesn't look up when I enter the room. “I have a new assignment for you.” He gives me a folder. I open it and my jaw drops. “You've got to be kidding me.” “Do I look like I'm joking Payne? She is your next assignment.” I look at the picture again. It is a young girl, with long brown hair and brown eyes. She is definately not older than me. “Why?” “That is none of your concern. But before you leave England, she is dead. You know the consequences if you fail.” I nod. He doesn't need to remind me of that. “You need to be careful, she is different from your previous assignments. You need to gain her trust before you have any chance of killing her.” I frown. It is very contradictory with what everbody around me keeps telling me: Don't even speak the name of your target. It'll make it more personal and you'll hesitate. “But don't get attachted to her.” Okay, there it is. “I know.” Conrad sounds like he doens't trust me. “Good luck and remember, before you leave England.”
