Girls Like Me

Leah's house was quiet, when I woke up on is day all I could hear was something sizzling on a pan and Leah's little sister giggling. Faint ofcourse.

"Morning lazy ass" Leah laughed setting down a mug of green tea beside me.

"thanks" I smiled taking a sip of the tea, "you don't know how greatful I am for you guys to let me stay here"

"you can come over whenever. Were always here" Leah smirked.

"Leah, Bailey, breakfast" Leah's mom said. I grabbed my tea and we hurried down the stairs. Leah's mom Shay had two plates with scrambled eggs and blueberry muffins set on the table.

"yum, thanks Shay" I smiled sitting down at the table.

"no problem sunshine" she winked.

"Girls, I need to go to the store to get more diapers for Cora" Shay said pinching Cora's little toddler cheeks and rushing out the door, "be back soon!"

"We should watch a movie er somthin" Leah said mouth full of muffin.

"sure" I shurgged. After breakfast Leah put Cora in her bouncer and we sat on the couch. Leah popped in the first Harry Potter movie and sat back down. Shay was back before the previews were even over.

we ended up watching all the harry potter movies. By the time we had finished them it was about 10:00 at night so we got ready for bed then ran upstairs.

"27 new message notifications" read my iphone screen.

"shit!" I said in awe. I then opened the messages. 5 were from louis, 2 were from Damon, 1 was from josh and the other 19 were from my mother. Louis was begging for me to forgive him, Damon and Josh were asking where I was and my mom was at first blabbing at me to come home but then she just seemed to give up and was apologizing. I replied everyone but my mother and louis. I wasn't forging louis anytime soon and I sure as hell was going to get into any more shit with my mom.

"Bailey Waters. I love you and I really wish you were home. I know I'm a shitty mom and all but bails you and Damon and Josh come before anyone else. And I left your dad beacause he was holding me down. And George is very kind. I'm very sorry you don't like how things turned out but sweetie I just want you home :( love, mom." A text flashed on my screen. I then began to cry. I felt bad. So at 3:00am I snuck out of Leah's and drove home.

I gently unlocked the door then tip-toed upstairs and crawled into my cold bed.

"Morning josh, morning damon, get up guys" my moms soft voice said. I heard it through the walls crisp and clear. I heard her walk past my door so I got up. I got dressed in a white long sleeved dress with a black knit sweater over top, knee high black skull socks, a beanie, combat boots and my hair down, and some jewelry then I quickly put on some makeup I quietly slumped down the stairs to where my mom was doing some paperwork.

"mom I'm Sor-" I started.

"Bailey!" My mom swiftly turned around and pulled me into her arms. Her blue plaid top was soft but a bit scratchy.

"I'm sorry mom" I whispered.

"It's okay" my mom whispered back. Sure I had only been gone for a night but I still got homesick. The guilt in my stomach was too thick. I pulled away and smiled at my mom. I grabbed a granola bar and yelled for josh and damon.

"common twerps time for school" I joked. The two bolted down the stairs and hugged me.

the two showered me with questions on the way to school but when Damon left Josh's curious face tunrned serious.

"oh some guy left this for you" josh threw a little blue sheet of paper to me that was folded up to the size of a playing card.

From: Romeo" goddamn it.
