Teenage Dirtbag

Chapter One

“Mom, I don’t want to move!” I shake my head, sighing loud enough for her to hear, and cross my arms. I can’t believe my parents are making me move to a completely new city where we don’t even know anyone. And I mean NOONE.

“Ana, your father and I have already told you once before, this is an amazing opportunity for your father’s career, and this is better for you too. This is your fresh start, especially because of what happened.”

“Okay, okay. Sorry for even bringing it up.” I roll my eyes and lay my head on the car window. I still can’t believe they’re moving me to London. Out of all the places to move! I’m a New York City girl; you can’t just make me pack up my whole life and move to a foreign country. Well, according to my parents, you can. I close my eyes to stop the tears from rolling down as we leave New York City and head to JFK Airport. I just hope this flight won’t take forever.

—About 8 hours later—

“And here we are! Look how beautiful the flat is!” My mom puts the luggage down, sticks out her arms, and spins in a circle a couple of times to show me just how big our apartment is. I nod my head to acknowledge her, turn right back around, go out the door, and go to help my dad carry in our boxes.

—Harry’s P.O.V.—

“Who in the world is that, mate?” I look at Louis, my eyebrows in a raised position.

“I don’t know. New neighbors?” Louis shrugs, not in the least bit interested in what I have to say, but rather quite intent on holding the brown bag filled with groceries in one hand and looking down at his phone in the other hand.

“Lou, no shit, but who is THAT?” This time I pointed to a girl who had her dark brown hair in a high ponytail. I noticed she was wearing faded light blue shorts and a The 1975 concert tee. I saw she was smiling at a man, I’m presuming her father. She was absolutely beautiful and that smile of hers is lovely. A smile crept onto my lips as I looked at her. “Absolutely, breathtakingly beautiful,” I mumbled to myself.

“I dunno. Want me to find out, Haz?” I could see Louis smirk out of the corner of my eye.

“Uh, no thank you, Louis. I am perfectly able to introduce myself. I, uh, just can’t right now. Gotta put these groceries away and we shouldn’t bother them as they move in. Maybe when they’re done…” I sheepishly smile and lower my head as I walk past them.

“Whatever you say, mate. Just do it before I do,” he says with the biggest smirk on his face.

—Ana’s P.O.V.—

“Who are those two hot guys over there!?” My annoying little sister says a little too loudly.

I shrug. “Don’t know. Don’t care.” I hand her a box.

“Oh c’mon, Ana. You’re not even in the least bit curious?” She never stops looking at the boy with the curly hair.

“Nope! And you shouldn’t be either. You’re only 14. I’m sure that boy you keep looking at is at least 18. And like dad will actually let you date?” I halfheartedly laugh.

“Whatever. I’ve had boyfriends before. You know, dad doesn’t have to know everything.”

I roll my eyes and shove another box at her. “Just shut up and help me, you freak.”
