There's Nothing I Can Really Say.
(Louis' POV)
"A grade. A. Jerk." Rebecca said, a low and dangerous tone to her angry voice as her index finger stabbed me in the chest with every word. As if that weren't embarassing enough, however, she decided to spit in my face for effect after doing so. I was fuming mad. I opened my mouth to speak, but, nothing came out. She walked away, and I didn't know where she thought she was going. We're in my house, for Christ's sake. I took a deep breath, and slowly walked after her. The other boys stayed behind, as they should. This is something I have to fix, and I have to fix it alone in order to do it right. After all, you know what they say. "If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself."
I gently reached for her shoulder, and she turned around. I expected to see her face full of rage and anger, but, oh no, this was truly something else.
Her eyes, once blue and joyfuland young, were now withered old with stress and sadness, the sky blue coloured hue now a dull, faded pit of emptiness. All I could see when I looked into them was pain and heartache. She looked as if she might cry but, as it was now clear to me, she had no tears left. She had cried her eyes dry.
She continued to look up at me, before speaking and breaking the silence that seemed to go on for centuries.
"J-just hit me already." she barely whispered, expecting me to hurt her.
"Rebecca, I-"
"No! Stop it! P-please just stop this torture! I am not Rebbeca, I'm only Rebbeca to the people who care about me! Why c-can't you just kill me already?!" She screamed as the her eyes watered and tears began to flow down her now pale face.
I held her chin in my hand, and tilted it upwards so she could look at me.
But she only turned away.
"P-please...Don't touch me...You scare me a-and I j-just want to go home!" Rebecca sobbed as she tried to push me away, which clearly wasn't an easy task, her body had become weak and frail.
I ignored all the voices screaming at me in my head telling me that "She deserves it!" and "Fucking ruin her already, Louis!!"
I grasped her shoulders firmly and pulled her close to my chest, and held her as tight as I could possibly manage.
Something changed at that moment.
When I looked at her, seeing her once cheerful features that had now sunken and turned pale and sad, something triggered inside of me.
It's like...A switch flipped on.
In my brain.
In my heart.
In my soul.
It was I who shed the tears now.
"Rebecca, Rebel, Reb, I don't care what you want me to call you, j-just listen to me! I am so, so sorry for every little thing I have ever done to you, I'm sorry for the beatings, I'm sorry for taking advantage of you, I'm sorry for taking you away from your home, I'm sorry for being mean, I'm sorry for treating you any less than I should have, I'm sorry for the heartache, I-I'm just...I'm sorry." I said, the tears streaming down my face, landing on hers and mixing together.
"L-Louis?" she barely more than whispered.
"Yes?"
"I forg-give you but...I-I just want to go home. Please."
I took a deep breath and finally realised, it was time to let her go. Set her free. Release her.
"Ok." I said, and the bright and happy smile, the colour that rushed into her face, the joy in her eyes as I said the word, it was enough to make anyone smile.
So I did.
Everything seemed perfect, it was as if time had stopped and for one moment, for one single little moment, everthing was going to be okay.
But it was all over too soon.
"Hell no, she is not going home!!" Liam boomed from behind me. I had almost completely forgotten that they were all still there. In a fast-paced blur, Rebecca was ripped from my grasp and slung over Liam's shoulder.
Finally, my senses kicked in.
I pulled her off of him, placing her behind me for the sake of her safety. With a loud "thud" I had shoved Liam to the ground, he grunted in slight pain and furrowed his eyebrows in confusion.
"Liam James Payne, what in the bloody hell do you think you're doing?!" I screamed.
"I should ask you the same question, Louis!" He fired back. "Isn't this what you wanted?! Isn't this what you've been working to get for the past three fucking years?!"
I clenched my jaw and tugged him upwards by the collar of his shirt, throwing him up against the wall and pinning him there, my eyes almost completely black with anger.
"PEOPLE CHANGE, LIAM! PEOPLE. FUCKING. CHANGE!!" I yelled. He kneed me in the gut, sending me falling to the ground.
"Not people like you Louis! Not people like me!!" He began repeatedly sending kicks into my stomach, his steel-toe boots sending intense pain through my entire body. I felt something coming up but, how could this be making me nauseous?
I coughed, seemingly in a wet manner, and saw the blood dripping out of my mouth and pooling into a dark red puddle on the floor beside me.
Oh, that was it, I suppose.
He never once stopped kicking me, and soon, everything was fading from clear, to red, to black.
Notes
Sorry if you cried.
Also, question of the day, how do you feel about Liam's sudden outburst?
Until later, my lovelies. <3
