New Life, New Love

Say Hello

We walked into the house as the moving truck pulled up by the curb.

"Go claim your rooms!" My dad exclaimed as the three of us ran up the stairs.
"The master is ours! It's the one at the end of the hall...the rest is fair game!" I heard my mom yell.

I walked into the room closest to the stairs. It was nice, not too big, not too small. I had a feeling the house was a lot bigger on the inside than it seemed on the outside.
I noticed a door on the opposite side of the room. I smiled to myself as I realized it was a bathroom.
Sweet, my own bathroom. I set my stuff down and walked out to go help finish moving our stuff.
I sighed as I realized I would be starting school on monday and I was wasting my Saturday moving into a new house.

It was gonna be weird going to school. I was a little nervous as the school year already started a month ago, so everyone was already in their rhythms with class seating and friends.
I was probably gonna be a loner.
At least it's better than being bullied.

----Next Day----

I looked at the clock by my bed.
9:00 pm.
I felt my stomach turn as I realized I was starting my new school in less than 24 hours. I looked around my room and smiled.
I loved what I did with the place. I had put up pictures of my friends and family from Oregon around the walls.
I had Christmas tree lights wrapped around my desk, on my wall, and on my bed. All the other decorations around my room were dark and medium blue with cream accents.

I decided to go into my brother's room. He had sports posters and soccer trophies decorating the place. He was on his bed talking with Grace.

I sat on the bed with them.
"I'm just really nervous, ya know? It's bad enough that I'm new, but I'm a freshman too! I still haven't gotten used to high school." Grace admitted to us.
We all talked about our nerves for tomorrow. Jon pretended like he wasn't that nervous, being a senior and all that, but I knew he had some doubts.

We all finally decided to go to bed. We had a long day ahead.

*If our love is tragedy, why are you my remedy?
If our love's insanity, why are you my clarity?*

"Uuuuuuhhhh......" I rolled over under my warm covers

*Walk on through a red parade and refuse to-*
"Shut uuuppp." I hit the off button on my alarm.

6:30...Time to get ready for school. Greeaaat.

I got out of my warm confines only to be met by the cool air surrounding me. I shivered as I sleepily waddled to my bathroom, getting into the shower and letting the water course through my dark, long wavy locks.
After shaving, shampooing, and washing, I got out and wrapped myself in a towel as I started perusing through my clothes.

I finally decided on the outfit. It was simple, nothing new for me.
I threw my dark brown waves into a high ponytail, some strands managed to escape, framing my face.
It looked a little messy but I didn't really care, I wasn't too concerned with my appearance as long as I looked clean.
I applied some moisturizer to my face after spritzing myself with body spray.
I grabbed my backpack and made my way downstairs into our new kitchen.
After eating a banana and a muffin, I called to my siblings.
"Are you guys almost ready?"
"Yeah!" They said in unison.
I pulled out my mint rasberry chapstick and applied it to my lips. The closest thing to makeup I was wearing was that and it felt good.
I was glad I didn't have to worry about wearing cover up and foundation to cover my bruises.

I felt free.

We piled into my brother's car. It was small, I could tell Jon was a little nervous driving it, we still weren't used to the right side of the road, but the distance to school was short, only about four or five blocks away.

"Ready?" He asked as he pulled into the school parking lot.
We got out of the car and my stomach did a little flip, but I tried to ignore it.

There were many conversations going on around us, it was weird because they all were speaking in a thick british accent, using a few terms I wasn't exactly familiar with.
This might be harder than I thought.

I saw some girls looking over at us and then giggling to each other. I watched their eyes and realized they were looking at my brother.
It was weird that he drew so much attention to himself. He was good-looking but girls always seemed to think he was this greek god. It was a little annoying.
I looked at him closely. His hair color was the same as mine, dark brown with red hints in it. It was pushed out of his face, a little messy, but I knew it was on purpose.

His brown eyes were trained on the school building in front as his pink lips were pulled into a concentrated frown.

I hadn't realized we were at the school doors, until his muscled arms pushed it open.
He looked over at Grace and me. "We're here." He gave a small smile.

We walked over to a door with the words "Office" plastered over it.
An old lady spoke in a thick accent. "How may I help you?"
"We're here to pick up our schedules. Jon, Bella, and Grace Wood." My brother informed her.

She handed the schedules to us, and we began comparing.

I noticed that Grace had drama class after school, which ended at five, and Jon was trying out late for football.
"Football? Jon, I thought you were trying out for soccer?"
He let out a laugh. "Football is soccer here."
"Oh, right."
"My try out is at three thirty. And when I make it on the team, practices will end at five, so you're gonna have to walk home after school. Sorry kiddo." He patted my shoulder lightly.
I let out a sigh. At least the exercise will do me good.

We began to head in different directions to our various classes.
My first class was Writing, room 213.

I finally found the room. I'm pretty sure I walked in late as the teacher was explaining what she was writing on the board.
"Ah, you must be Miss. Wood. I'm Mrs. Carl. Class this is our new student, Bella. There's an empty seat in the back by Mr. Styles."
My eyes widened as I saw who the empty seat was by.

It was the kid I saw walking down the street when I first moved.
He didn't have a beanie on today, revealing his brown curly mop of hair. I saw him smirking as I made my way to the seat.
I pulled out my notes and tried to write down what the teacher was saying, but it was hard to concentrate. I could feel the guy staring at me.
I felt a tap on my shoulder.
I looked to my left and was met by bright green eyes. I jumped a little, not expecting them to be so....beautiful.
He smirked at my jumpiness.

"I'm Harry." Even though he whispered, I could tell he had a low raspy voice.
I turned to face the teacher again, feeling my cheeks flush.
