Harry's POV

"Dammit Liam! It's been about two weeks since the party. Two weeks since Bella has even looked at me! In writing she ignores me. And in our self-actualization class, our teacher is waiting on supplies and has just been having us read and do tests. I haven't have any project work with her, so she has no reason to talk to me. Jon said that ever since the party Bella will hardly talk to anyone, even in her family. He thought I had tried to have a go at her, but I didn't, I swear!"

"Mate, calm down. Do you...like her?"

"God no. She's too haughty."

"What the hell does that mean?"

"Prideful, arrogantly superior. I think that's what my writing teacher said in class today; and I immediately thought of Bella!"

"Then why do you care if she isn't talking to you or other people?"

"I don't know, I feel like I did something. Like I fucked something up in her."

"So, you feel guilty?"

"Yeah...But I don't know what I did wrong!"

"Just ask her."

"I can't!"

"Why?"

"Cause she'll fucking get pissed off! I can never asking Bella something without her throwing it in my face. I can't stand it."

"So, you're saying you won't ask her what you did wrong because you're scared of her?"

"I'm not scared of her."

"Oh, really?" Okay now this was pissing me off. I'm not scared of some moody girl.

"Really." I gritted.

"Prove it."

"Fine, but I think it's time you leave, Liam."

"Fine by me." With that Liam left my house.

I sat for what seemed like ages, contemplating what I could do, what I should do. Then my mum walked in.

"Hey, Harry."

"What's for dinner?"

"I don't know yet." Then it hit me.

"Why don't we invite the Woods over for dinner?"

"Really? You want me to invite them over?" She looked at me as if I was some alien.

"Sure, why not?"

"Well, I'll have to call and see if they are available."

She came back into the room a few minutes later. "Well, looks like we will be having guests over in two and a half hours!" She said with a smile which I happily returned.

"Harry, get that for me!" I speedily walked to the door and opened it up to see Bella's parents, Jon, Grace, and...no one else.

"Where's Bella?" I could tell that I was frowning.

"Well hello to you too!" Bella's mum was laughing but I noticed her dad was frowning. "She ended up not feeling well an hour ago, so we had her stay home."


"You seem awfully quiet tonight. Everything alright?" Mr. Wood asked me as Mrs. Wood helped my mum clean up the table.

"Me? Oh, just a tiring day at school." He didn't look convinced. He was about to say something when my mum brought in the dessert.

I had another brilliant idea. First off, I knew for a fact Bella wasn't sick and she was just trying to get out of coming over for dinner. Second, dessert would take a while to finish eating as everyone would be busy conversing.

"Mrs. Wood, has Bella had anything to eat?"

"Hmm..I don't know, why?" Her brows furrowed.

"I'm not really in the mood for dessert. And since Bella isn't feeling well I thought I could bring her some of the soup. She must be hungry by now if she hasn't had anything to eat. Besides, we have...some project stuff to talk about. I just have a couple questions for her."

"Hmm..well you could try and take a container of soup to her. Here are the house keys."

My mum got up to get a container and poured in some leftover soup. "How sweet of you, Harry!"

Yes, I finally have an excuse to talk to her. Well, here goes nothing.

Okay so this was a shorter chapter but it's new years eve so I hope ya'll will cut me some slack. I may update after midnight, I'm not sure..
