Scarlett's POV
I stare into the mirror, inspecting my outfit. Niall and I have been in Mullingar for a week now and we’re heading back tomorrow, but before that we are going out to a “classy” restaurant with his family first. I can’t wait to see the girls! I’ve missed them so much and haven’t heard from them since the sleepover.

I just finish applying the finishing touches to my makeup when a warm pair of arms snake around my waist.
“You look absolutely stunning” he mumbles into the crook of my neck.
“You don’t look to shabby yourself” I giggle before he gives be a playful slap on my backside.
“Hurry up, 10 minutes before we leave” he says before leaving the en-suite and bedroom. I place my brushes back in their travel bag and start packing up when I get a Skype call from Harlow. I excitedly answer it.
“Hey girl!!” I say.
“Hi” she replies gloomily.
“What’s up, you look sad chick?” I ask, my voice full of concern.
“I’ve called it off with Harry” she sniffles. I’m completely taken aback. Personally, I thought Harlow and Harry were for keeps.
“What happened?”
“Long story...” she trails off.
“Scarlett, c’mon. We need to leave” Niall shouts up the stairs.
“2 minutes” I shout back.
“Going somewhere nice?” she asks, wiping tears away hoping I don’t see them.
“Yeah, out for dinner with Nialler’s family.” I say quietly. This is the worse time to be bragging about going out to dinner with my boyfriend’s family when Harlow has just called it off with hers.
“Well, you look fab as always. Have a great time” she says, putting on a smile which I can see right through. I feel like crying myself when I see one of my BFFs cry and look so… hurt. I’ll beat the shit out of harry if I have to when we return.
“Thanks, I’ll see you tomorrow at the pub when we get back”. She gives a small nod before hanging up. I shut down my computer and grab my phone and purse. Carefully, I walk down the stairs, clinging to the bannister trying not to fall in my heels. At the bottom, Niall takes my hand and kisses it before helping me down the last step.

The dinner was the nicest I've had in a long time. The atmosphere is full of laughing and chatting and we are in a VIP room so there are no fans bugging us. Nearly all of Niall’s relatives are here: Parents; brother; sister-in-law; aunts; uncles; godparents; cousins and even grandparents. Nearly everybody has complimented me on my outfit or how pretty I am. They are all just too sweet. I'm glad I met someone who’s family like me instead of my older sister where all of her in-laws can’t stand her. Then again, neither can me so I see there point.
We've finished the meal and are just drinking pints or wine now which is right up my street. Whilst I’m talking to Maura, Niall gives my knee a squeeze and whispers in my ear:
“B-be back in a few”. For some odd reason, he’s seemed very shaky and anxious all evening. Maura and I carry on chatting when Niall returns. However, he doesn’t sit down but instead speaks up and grabs everybody’s attention. We all turn and listen. My face was full of confusion whilst everyone else’s was full of excitement and happiness. Am I missing something?
“So I’m really happy you could all make it tonight.” he starts off. Oh no, not another one of Niall’s cheesy speeches. “I haven’t been home in a long time with the touring and other work commitments therefore I know this is the first time you’ve met my lovely girlfriend, Scarlett”. Niall takes my hands and pulls me up to stand next to him.
“Scarlett, you are the most beautiful, kind, crazy and loving girl I have ever met. You mean the world to me and you’re my everything. I’d be lost without you”. Tears start to slowly fill my eyes as he spoke those touching words. “So, quick question. And yes, I know we’re young but I know in my heart that you are my one true love”. He got down on one knee and folded out a small box. Both of my shaking hand cover my dry mouth. “Scarlett Maria Piper, would you give me the pleasure, of becoming my wife?” He open the box to reveal the most precious I’ve ever seen.



I place my right hand on my chest to feel my heart beating at like 1000mph.
“It would be my honour!” I smile letting the happy tears roll down my face. The table of friends and family erupt with clapping and I catch Niall’s Mum crying. I hold out my left hand and Niall places the ring on my finger. Once he stands up, I wrap my arms around his neck and his arms around my waist and he gave me the most loving, passionate kiss I’ve ever experienced. Once we pulled apart, his brother shouts out:
“Waitress! Bottle of Champagne over here please!” We both laugh and stare into each other’s eyes.
“I love you too, Niall. I love you more than anything else in this entire universe” I place a sweet peck on his lips before showing Maura and his sister-in-law the ring.

We landed about 4 hours ago and are on our way to the pub to meet the crew and tell them the good news.
“So how we going to play this then?” Niall asked, turning down the radio.
“Well, the ring in in my pocket so why don’t we say hi and order a drink and then I’ll slip on the ring and we’ll tell everyone about the new then” I suggest.
“That, my gorgeous, is why you’re the clever one” he smiles. I smile back. I can’t believe it but I’m going to be marrying the man I love the most in the world. The one person who helps me get through every day, who puts up with my mood swings, who lets me cry on their shoulder when I need to. Niall would drop everything for me in the blink of an eye and you know what? I would too.

We arrive at our destination and Niall helps me out of the car before taking my hand in his and keeping me close. We walk into the pub and see all of our friends at a large table hidden in the back of the room.
“Hey guys!” Niall says as we approach them.
“NIALL!!!” Harry, Liam, Louis and Zayn say in unison before pouncing on top of him. He instantly lets go of my hand to hug them back whilst I go and have a (more civilized) group hug with my girls. Harlow still looks a bit down so I give her a separate hug.
“We’ll talk later” I say in her ear before taking my seat in between Niall and Kirsty.

We order in our drinks and I’ve noticed Valentine and Harlow aren’t talking like usual but instead just giving each other death stares. Did I miss something? Suddenly, Niall gives my thigh a squeeze signalling to me it’s time to spill. I can see the excitement written all over his handsome face. I carefully and quietly slip the ring onto my wedding finger before Niall takes my hand. We stand in front of the table, Niall’s arm wrapped protectively around my waist and my right arm slung across his shoulder.
“Yo, we have something we want to tell you!” Niall says. Once they-eventually- shut up, Niall looked at me and gave me a nod giving me permission to spill.
“We’re engaged!!!!” I say, showing them my left hand. Louis jumps up and gives us a massive bear hug.
“Yay!!!! Wedding!!!” he yells. We laugh at his madness, he seems more excited than we are. As we hug him, I swear I saw a hint of jealousy flash across Jillian’s face. I don’t know, I could be mistaken. Harry and Valentine gave us a hug next before going to the bar, then Zayn, Jillian, Lillian, Kirsty, Harlow, Jade, Liam.
“Thank God!!!! I thought you were going to say you were pregnant and I was going to have a heart attack.” She says hugging me.
“No!!!” I playfully slap her arm.
“That could be next on the agenda though!” Niall jokes, regretting it when I give him a playful dig in the ribs. Harry returns to the table with Valentine and a waitress carrying a tray of glasses of champagne
“Well I think a glass of champagne is the perfect way to celebrate! To Niall and Lettie!” Harry speaks up. Everyone repeats the last line!!!!

This, by far, has been the best week of my life!
