Darkness

AUDREY'S POINT OF VIEW
I sat there clutching on to my mum's Prada bag on the jet as I looked out the window while Harry was requesting us some meals for the journey. My mind was preoccupied with memories of my parents , my childhood , the files I found....everything that made me hurt. When the flight attendant brought us our trays and glass of champagne we smiled and indulged into our pasta and chocolate cakes. "Sorry love I promised italian dinner and this is close to what I got" Harry pouted. "Harry ! this is perfect.... with you really .. it's perfect" I could barely think.
He flashed a smile "Aud you look like you are going to be sick" he glanced up at me as he continued to work on his pasta.
"Yeah I can't stop thinking about my mum and this bag, my room ... too many things.. I don't really want to over think anything anymore."
"Maybe the answer is right there" he made a comical face
"Maybe?" I was puzzled by his reply "Well the logical thing to do is to find out more about the key" I trailed off.
"Well if it's in your mum's bag then she should have left it there so maybe you should think like Grace Carson"
"Yeah but this what she does , she covers up everything! This has happened before.." I trailed off.
"Last time?" Harry said sipping some more champagne.
"Yeah.. but then there was very little press back then , only some of dad's business partners got thrown under the bus" I frowned
"Well you know what we need - a break from this all!" Harry tried to cheer me up
"True" I was sarcastic but I changed topics and continued "So why all the tattoos where you can't see them ?" I never got that.
"I got them every time something major happened in my life but I couldn't tell my parents because they would hate them" he smirked.
"The butterfly ?" I smiled .
"That was for my last girlfriend." He seemed more quiet
"Lucky girl." I pointed out.
"We dated when we were 13 , she was more of a best friend than a girlfriend.... and she died in a car crash a day before she turned 14... I only knew her for a year but she really did change me and the butterfly shows that change.." his eyes were hollow with sadness.
"Harry I am so sorry." I could feel the ocean trapped in his eyes.
"She was my first love but after that I never fell for anyone until I met you..." he was shy.
"Really? even after I put you in danger and got you on this wild goose chase with me?"
"Yeah .... I couldn't save her but I can save you....." he held his eye contact, his green eyes were slowly filling with tenderness and warmth.
"Words can't tell you how much this means to me" I was barely able to get the words out of my mouth.
"Then don't love" His raspy voice echoed through my veins."We will figure it out when we get to the apartment, we are going to get through this..." he held my hands.
"I can't help but feel I have known you all my life" I smirked.
"Me too" he smiled.

We spent the rest of the time just lying there in each others arms , he was warm and his arms felt like home, I taught about how lucky I was to have him in my life as he planted kisses on my head and arms. I felt sparks everywhere. It was magical.Soon , we landed and as the jet pulled over at the private hanger in the airport. We got out as I held on to Harry's arms and he carrying my bag got down and into the black Range Rover his friend Joshua was waiting in. Harry introduced us and we spent the entire ride talking about football and holidays in Europe. we got to his apartment. but Joshua left us to let us get settled in and he had a business meeting to tend to.

Harry was on his phone in the room with his dad telling him he will get back soon and he was on a short trip, he didn't talk about me or New York, while I was admiring Harry's fine taste in interior decor.
"Like it ?" Harry's arms slid by my hips. "Love it" I smiled.
