MEHI'S POINT OF VIEW
I was almost done with the sweet corn soup and the salad so I slipped into my room and pulled out the brown paper envelop from under my bed, inside were small viles with the label 'Midazolam' , each around 5 ml. I didn't think much about what this drug could do, I only wanted to do what I was told. I was in this for the money - I have a family that needs my support, I justified this over and over in my head and paced into the kitchen with one vile. I pulled out the cap and started mixing it along the salad and the soup. I was in this for the money.
Around a hour later I set up the lunch table and was about to clean the kitchen when the door bell rang. To my surprise it was Lila - Audrey's friend.
"Hello Ms can I help you?" I asked opening the door wider.
"Yes , where is Aud?" she was bubbling
"Upstairs with her company." I remembered the sedative in the lunch, I need to call him again I taught.
"I am going to check on her. My phone died so I can't call her... you know and I don't remember her number by heart " she tiltled her head and poked her way in and rushed up the stairs.
I pulled out my phone and looked up to make sure she wasn't around to see me.... no one picked up.
"Hey ! where is she ? " Lila yelled from upstairs.
I started climbing up.... what does she mean?
"In her room Ms. she told me not to disturb her" I was holding back words
"She isn't here ...her room is locked shut and she is not in there!"
This girl was persistent . "Nope !" she was forcing the door handle to budge.
I was worried but I couldn't show it.
"Then any ideas as to where she might be?" I needed to figure out what was going on.
"Her car is still here so she must be around" the girl started pacing to the other rooms.
I was still confused to what was happening
".... but then again last night we went out in my car, maybe she is with Harry? but she called me for lunch!" she wailed as she returned to face me." I am going to go home and get changed first- I will charge my phone and figure it out"
"But where can she have gone?" I needed answers
"I don't know but she is not here" her shrill voice pierced me back to reality, she skipped downstairs and yelled a "tell her I was here if you see her...good bye" and slammed the door shut.
"what is going on?" I asked myself. I ran down to the video room and started rewinding the security tapes from some hours ago ... I see her go into her parent's room... another camera has captured them both downstairs ..... the man leaving with luggage.... I realized what had happened- THEY ARE GONE!
I pull out my phone and dial the number again. Two rings later he picks up..
"Hello.They are gone." I mummble
"what?" the voice commands
"They are gone." I whisper.
The call is dropped.
