Behind The Backstage Doors

Harry sat in Louis' hotel bed, resting his head in his hands. He had ended up telling everything to Louis right from the start of the tour. How it was meant to be just a bit of fun between them but then along the way Harry had started to realize how much he actually needed Alison in his life. Only leaving out the part of Alison telling him she wasn't able to have kids anymore.

Harry told Louis the whole matter with Josh and then about the deal with their manager. Who thought they'd be better selling if few of them stayed single which happened to be Harry and Niall. It was the main reason why things were so complicated and why he couldn't be with her openly just yet. But now he couldn't understand about the deal with Josh. Why would he and Alison be so close in the picture and more importantly why would he put it for everyone to see? The fans knew about Harry and Alison's history and the picture made it look like Josh and Alison were now together. And he could so clearly remember the fight between them about Josh. He knew he had said some nasty things out of jealousy but now it turned out to be true. The picture showed there had been something going on in Helsinki after all.

"I don't know what to think," he said after the silence had stretched long enough. Louis walked closer to him, patting his back and sighing.

"I think you need to talk to her, mate," he said. Harry breathed in and out a few times, trying to find some courage, before standing up and walking out of the room.

He didn't know what he was going to say to her but he walked to her room nonetheless and knocked on the door. He heard her steps coming closer before she cracked the door open just slightly. He frowned when he saw her. Her eyes were puffy clearly from crying and she had changed into sweats and a top. She looked so vulnerable that he knew he couldn't at least yell at her.

"Hi," he whispered gently which made her open the door a little wider.

"Look Harry," she started her voice cracking a little so she had to clear her throat before continuing. "I don't know what you're thinking and I don't know what Rick told you yesterday in the meeting but the picture isn't about what it looks like," she said. Harry frowned because he didn't know why she was bringing up his conversation with the manager yesterday. But he knew he needed to know everything now.

"Can I come in?" he asked, already taking a step inside but Alison blocked his way.

"I don't think it's a good idea now. I can explain everything tomorrow I promise," she said quietly, looking at the floor rather than his eyes.

"But I need to talk to you now," he said firmly, stepping past the fragile looking girl and closing the door after him. He stalked in the room and didn't turn when he felt Alison's hand curve around his shoulder.

"No Harry," she said just when he saw the laptop sitting on her bed. He walked closer and when he saw what was on the screen he felt his heart sank in his chest.

"Alison," he started softly. "Why would you look at those?"

"I-I just," she stammered before breaking into tears. Harry panicked for a moment but then he went to hug the girl in front of him.

"They were saying that I was only looking for fame and when I couldn't get you I went for Josh and that my pictures are shit anyway and that they couldn't understand why would your management hire me," she cried to his chest but he cut her off before she would go any further.

"Hey slow down, love," he tried to calm her down by whispering in her ear and petting her hair softly.

"And they said you broke up with me cause you realized you needed someone of your league to have beautiful kids with and not some mouse looking girl without a real job. Little did they know they hit quite close to home cause I can't have beautiful kids with anyone," she spoke so fast between sobs it was hard for Harry to understand what she was saying. But when he did he felt the fury raising inside of him. He needed to take a few calming breaths before he led Alison to the bed and sat down with her.

"Listen baby those people know nothing. They're just really jealous and ugly minded and they feel like it's easy to say whatever in the internet," he explained calmly. He leaned further away to look at her face and wipe the tears from her cheeks.

"Look at me," he told her but she was still trying to hide her face so he grabbed her jaw and made her look at him in the eyes.

"Promise me you'll never look at those comments again, please. The only thing that matters is us and what we know," he stated, looking straight into her eyes. He could see the fear still there but she nodded still and he placed his arms around her little frame again. She buried her head to his chest, whimpering and clutching her hands on his shirt.

They stayed like that what felt like forever before her breaths started to even out and she wasn't crying anymore. He laid her down on the bed gently, pulling the covers over her and placing a kiss to her temple. He picked up the laptop, shutting it down and placing it on top of her suitcase. He was about to leave, turning his head to take one last look at her and then walking out of the room, but she called his name weakly so he walked back over the bed.

Harry took off his jeans and shirt before slipping under the covers next to her. She was freezing so he crawled as close to her as possible, trying to warm her up with his body heat. He listened to her breathing for a while before the sleep took over him too.
