The Lovers

Valentines P.O.V.

I was glad when we finally landed.

There was definitely something off in my relationship with Harry. I don't know what it was but I was pretty sure the spark had just gone. I was starting to get a bit bored in our relationship. He never did anything romantic or fun.

And it didn't make it easier that all the other girls were so happy in their relationships either. I mean c'mon - Liam had flown to Kays house just to get her back. Sami and Niall were finally dating and they had become inseparable. Zayn was so protective of Hannah, he literally would jump in front of a bullet for her. And Rachel and Louis hadn't even had sex and they still said 'I Love You' at any given opportunity.

It just wasn't fair. And I really wasn't sure if Harry knew how I was feeling.

As soon as we dropped our bags in our hotel room Harry decided to wander off.

"I'm just gonna go hang out with Lou for a while Val. Wanna come?" He asked.

I shook my head.

"No thanks" I replied.

He shrugged.

"Okay babe. See you later" he gave me a swift kiss on the forehead before leaving the room.

He was being so oblivious. How could he not have copped on that there was something wrong?

I decided I needed to take a walk to clear my head.

I locked the hotel room, making sure to bring my key with me.

This tour really wasn't what I was expecting. I was looking forward to a lot more glamour. But honestly, I was getting pretty exhausted.

I rounded the corner of the hall and crashed straight into someone, knocking me to the floor.

"I'm so sorry! I wasn't-" someone began but they were cut off when I looked up.

"Val?"

My eyes widened. There standing in front of me (above me actually) was my ex-boyfriend, Spencer.

He held out a hand to help me up and I took it gratefully.

"Spenc?" I half whispered.

He grinned, pulling me into a hug.

I breathed in his scent. His hug was so nice, so familiar and comfortable.

When we parted we were both smiling.

"So Val, how's life treating ya?"
