Kay's P.O.V:
I sat in the corner across from my bed. It’s been a week and a half and I haven’t checked my internet or turned on either of my phones. I just get up, shower, and sleep. I’ve barely been holding anything down. It’s like… my body is rejecting everything because it’s too sad to eat.
I hadn’t done anything but talk to my parents. They were still mad, I could tell. But at least they were talking to me. They went on a cruise the day I showed up on their doorstep, asking forgiveness. My mom said she’d have Kasey call me. Obviously, I wouldn’t know when that happened. I just sat in the corner blasting Wish You Were Here, by Avril Lavigne. Why I own all this depressing music, I have no clue. All I played earlier was Evanescence. Bring Me to Life is definitely my theme song.
I laid my head on my knees as I thought about him again. His laugh… his smile… his kiss. I had promised myself I wouldn’t go back down that road. I was taken from my thoughts by a knock on the door.
Umm… the fuck?
I got up, pulling my pajama top over my stomach and pulling on my Hello Kitty slipper boots. I pulled open the door but remained looking at the floor.
“Look, I don’t know who you’re looking for bu—“ I cut off when my eyes connected with his and slammed the door as hard as I could. I had just pushed him from my mind and here he was again, taking me back to a place I said I would never go. I pressed my hand to mouth and silent tears streamed down my face.
“Kay, open the door.” I didn’t say anything. “You can’t fool me, I’m not stupid. I know you’re in there. There’s no other way you could get out… you live on the tenth story.” He said, talking through the door.
“Go away, Liam.” There’s no way he thought he could ignore me and drive me crazy and then come back for me…
“No, Kay. I’m already not supposed to be here. It was hard enough sneaking out with all the security but management will have my ass if they find out.” I wiped away my tears.
“What do you want, Liam? To get me back on tour just so you can ignore me again?” I said, my hand pressed to the door. I was trying to hold up my resolve but I just loved him so much… all I wanted was to open the door and kiss him like my life depended on it.
“Just open the door so we can talk. Please… ten minutes.”
“Ten minutes is all you get.” But as soon as I opened the door, no words came out of his mouth. He pushed the door closed and connected his lips with mine, his hands framing my face. His thumbs ran over the excess tears I had left behind.
I didn’t feel sparks or electricity when he kissed me, but I felt something real. I felt like a piece of me that was missing, was back again. I had went almost two weeks without him touching me and I practically melted in his arms. My arms trailed up over his shoulders and I stood on my tip toes trying to get closer to him. He wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me closer.
When our lips finally broke apart, our foreheads pressed together.
“Why did you run away?” I flinched at his words. I ran away from the drama with my parents… with Kasey… it was just easier not to go back and get hurt.
“I thought… I thought you stopped loving me. I did it for you…” I murmured, stepping closer to him and wrapping my arms around his waist.
“I could never stop loving you, baby girl. You’re stuck with me, forever. And don’t you forget it.” He smiled, kissing my cheek.
“Then why….?” I left the sentence open. He was smart enough to understand what I meant.
“I just… I was confused. I went about it the wrong way and I’m sorry.” He said, kissing me again.
“I’m sorry, too.”
“It’s okay. I know you didn’t mean it. But… will you come back with me? Sami already tried to beat my brains in.”
“She tried to put that Sharkiesha on you, eh?” I smiled, pushing him lightly. “Yeah, I’ll go get my stuff.” I turned around and tried to fix everything I had wrecked when I got here, plugging my phone back in to the wall. I went and grabbed my bags and he came over to help me.
“You packed fast.” He said. I looked down at the ground.
“I just… never unpacked.” He lifted my face to look at his, with a finger beneath my chin.
“Good. Because I’ll always come after you, baby girl.” I smiled widely, sticking my phone in my pocket as we left my apartment with my suitcases.
“Do the girls know I’m here?” I asked, leaving Liam’s and my room. After we left my apartment, I noticed I wasn’t wearing anything but pajamas so I had to change in the back of the car.
“Nope. They couched Zayn again and they’re all watching soppy movies like the Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants.” He rolled his eyes, taking my hand. We were in New Mexico, destination five or six on the boys’ tour.
“Sami? Can someone open the door?” Liam asked, knocking on the door.
“Go the fuck away, Liam.” Sami screamed. I smiled, trying to contain my laughter.
“I have a surprise for you, though.” He said, then whispered to me, “They still hate me.”
“I can see that.” I smiled, kissing his cheek.
“I’ll get it.” Zayn grumbled. When he opened the door, I pulled him into a bone crushing hug.
“I missed you, Zaynie!” I said, smiling.
“I missed you, too.” He smiled, and I felt him give Liam a thumbs up behind my back. I turned and kissed Liam one last time before walking all the way in the room.
“Hey, biatch! Did you miss me?”
