The Lovers

Rachel's P.O.V.

I ended up sitting next to Niall on the plane again, which I didn't mind at all. It just would've been handy to be sitting next to Louis so that we could talk. We hadn't had a chance to yet.

"So Niall how was breakfast with Sami this morning?" I asked him, winking.

"Good, someone mistook us for a couple" he told me.

"A lot of people mistake you for a couple Ni" I grinned.

His cheeks flushed a little.

"Aww, look at little Ni getting all embarrassed" I giggled, poking his now red cheeks.

"Shut up" he mumbled, swatting my hand away, grinning.

Sami looked back at us from where she was sitting, on the other side of the isle, two rows ahead.

I couldn't tell if she looked upset or annoyed.. If only she knew it was her we were talking about.

"Soooo, when are you gonna ask Sami out?" I asked him, curious.

"Rach.." he rolled his eyes.

"Oh c'mon Niall! Grow a pair. There's nothing to be scared of. She likes you and you like her. How much simpler could it get?"

There was silence for a minute before he spoke.

"Enough about me Rach.How are things with you and Louis? Any better?" he asked.

I shrugged.

"Well, we're gonna talk soon.. That's something" I told him.

We spent the rest of the flight chatting about Louis and Sami and listening to music. Apparantely we were singing along far too loudly, because we told to keep it down by a flight attendant.

When we landed I tried to wait for Kay but she said something about buying a souvenir. I could tell there was something going on but didn't question her about it. She liked to handle things alone sometimes.

By the time we got to the hotel, I was really nervous. Me and Louis were once again sharing a room which meant we'd get to talk.

Niall gave me a quick hug before we set off for the rooms.

"Good luck" he whispered softly, referring to the talk with Louis.

"Thanks" I mumbled back as we broke apart.

He wandered off then with Sami, to look for their room.

I noticed then that I was left alone with Louis.

"Shall we just go find our room, yeah?" he asked.

"Sure" I replied, nodding.

We found the room pretty easily, and once we had gotten our bags inside and the door closed we were ready to talk.

I hadn't realised how nervous I was about this until I tried to speak and nothing nothing and out.

"Lou.." I managed, my voice shaky from the nerves.

He shook his head.

"No, Rach listen. I'm sorry, im so sorry. I shouldn't have brought it up when I know your not ready. And I know I made you feel like I was trying to pressure you into sex , but that's not what I'm trying to do. Id never do that to you" he gushed out all at once.

It took me a minute to take in everything he said..

"Im sorry too Louis. I'm sorry I'm making you wait" I whispered.

"Dont be" he whispered, taking my hands in his.

"I didn't bring you on tour to sleep with you. I brought you because I love you" he added.

My eyes widened at the last three words and so did his.

"You-You what?" I whispered.

He looked scared but he had no choice but to continue.

He took a deep breath before speaking.
"

"I love you Rach. I'm in love with you" his voice was surprisingly steady.

I felt myself smile.

"I love you too Louis"

And I did, we both knew it.

He pulled me into a hug.

"Thank god" he mmbled into my hair.
