Give It Up
Kay's P.O.V:
"Rach, you okay?" I pulled her to the side while everyone was relaxing in the beautiful hotel pool.
"Yeah, why?" I took in her innocent look... her wide green/gray eyes... one's that I'd photographed for a school project, her long brown hair... that she ran her hands through when she was nervous, like she just did now.
"The whole thing with Sami... I mean, it's okay... to be innocent and pure and all that." I smiled, reassuringly. I didn't want her to go and feel pressured to have sex with Lou. That never works.
"I mean, I was upset... but I had forgotten about it, really..." She trailed off, her gaze settling on Lou, trying to dive like David Hasselhoff. And a David Hasselhoff, he was not.
"Well, if you ever want to talk about it... I'm here. I mean, obviously, I'm no virgin... and I'd be glad to help you out. With knowing what to do and everything."
"But what if I don't want to be innocent anymore? What if I wanna be like you guys... carefree, never worrying how it'll be when I finally do choose what to do about Lou's and my relationship."
"If you really want to... give it up. Simple. But if there's a part of you that says no, take my advice and stay pure. If he honestly loves you, he won't make you choose..." I looked over at him, "between your relationship and your virtue." With that, I walked away, but I looked back at her sitting on the edge of the pool, staring off into space. I hope she really thought about what I said.
I didn't waste any time diving back underwater and streamlining until hands caught my waist. I screamed and broke above the water surface, gasping for air. Everyone was laughing hard, except Rachel, still deep in thought, and Liam, who was back floating behind me. I scrunched up my nose and smacked his chest. It kinda hurt my hand a little but he couldn't know that.
"That wasn't funny!" I crossed my arms but smiled when he swam over to me and kissed my cheek.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you." All that scaring made me have to pee really bad... but since I was in a pool, that sucked ass. I was trying my best to hold it.
"You know you're easy to scare, babe." Val smiled, coming over to me.
"Shut up." But I cracked a smile. She was, after all, my best friend. I ran my hand through my tangled devolumized curls and climbed out of the pool, feeling my stomach knot up.
"Aww, are you mad at me, love?" Liam asked. I could never be mad at you... not with that accent.
"No... I just really... have to pee, is all." They all crooned with laughter as I walked away, my head held high. I noticed Lou was sitting next to Rachel and her head was on his shoulder. I didn't know what they were talking about... but it was about time. I started jogging to the bathroom, hurrying to make it before I peed myself.
After taking care of business, I washed my hands, applied a fresh coat of Baby Lips and checked my feet for toilet paper. While the Radisson, our hotel, was very clean, it never hurt to be safe. As I walked out the bathroom, shoving my Baby Lips back down my cleavage, I bumped into someone I had never thought I'd see again.
"Kay." She scowled, crossing her arms and glaring at me.
"Oh, hey Danielle. Are you stalking my boyfriend again?" But I didn't wait for a reply. I headed straight for the pool and cannonballed, quickly swimming over to my friends as fast as I could.
"What's wrong, Kay-Kay?" Val asked, grabbing my arm. As soon as my breathing calmed from swimming so fast, I singled out Liam and held his gaze.
"Danielle's back."
