Me and Bobby McGee
He saw stars in his eyes, and the very next day
Five minutes later:
Lexie paced back and forth. Should she toss the note? Should she call him? At the very least, she should politely text him. "Thanks for the ride"? Yea, no. What is the correct social behavior for post-rest-stop sex? Gracious, but witty? "Thanks for the decisive moment"? Lexie paced several more times, unaware that her black leather boots were turning brown from all the dust she was kicking (Wc) up. Finally, she pulled out her cell, googling a specific individual she'd studied in university. After finding the quote from him she wanted, Lexie hit send. Satisfied, she got back in her car and hit the road.
Text from Lexie McLean: "Il n'y a rien dans ce monde qui n'ait un moment decisif" <3 Lexie
On the bus, he looked down at his phone. He'd been slightly harassed by the boys for waylaying them when he ran up to the bus. Now, they were all boarded and on the road, bored. Everyone was playing on their cell phones and Harry was no different. Thus, he was surprised when a text from an unknown number popped up. He smirked and added her to his contacts. He was proud of himself. He'd had sex with a stranger, yes. However, his taste was so good that she turned out to be a wonderful, intelligent woman worthy of respect. How many people could say that about their casual sex with a stranger?

"There is nothing in this world that does not have a decisive moment." She was mocking his pickup line and it was kind of cute.
Hours later Lexie arrived at her father's house. She unloaded the car and headed down to the basement. Her teenage bedroom was the same as she'd left it. Collapsing on the mattress in the sea of shag carpetting, she read Jason's texts and added his number. Moments later, she drifted to sleep.
Text from Jason Cavendish: "Oh yes, the past can hurt. But from the way I see it, you can either run from it or learn from it." I won't forget you. And stop worrying about your shit EX-Job and your shit EX-bf. Those things are behind you. Don't miss out on what's ahead of you.
Text from Jason Cavendish: Okay, maybe Lion King wasn't on par with your French cardinal. I'll try again. "We do not remember days, we remember moments." ...Hakuna Matata
