The next morning I woke up to the sound of some bird chirping off in the distance, and warm rays of sunlight kissing our exposed skin.
I had my head on Harry's shoulder, and my arm draped over his stomach whilst he had a firm arm wrapped around my body in a protective grip. While he kept me close, Harry snored softly with the occasional mutter of my name.
Groaning softly I gently kissed Harry's nipple then nuzzled into him, deciding to let him sleep a little bit. When Harry was asleep he looked absolutely precious; his plump pink stayed open slightly, and his tounsels of curls fell into his face.
Harry always looked so peaceful when he was asleep, it was rare for him to look anything but.
I remembered my mom once told me that sleep was the best escape for people with a hard life, because they couldn't feel pain when asleep, they couldn't feel terror, they couldn't feel anything but contentment.
Unless they were damned with nightmares from past terror's that is, which Harry didn't seem be. Come to think of it, I rarely had nightmares either. I mean, Harry had a few nightmares since we got together, but I had only one I believe.
With that thought passing by my mind drifted back to the faint memories of my nightmare last night about Gemma, Mr. Styles, and Carson. It had felt so real, it had looked so real, that it took me a little while to convince myself that it was just a dream.
Even now as I thought of it I felt the clammy feeling settle in my stomach that I got during and after the dream. If you really compared the dream to some of the other night terror's people have endured, it was nothing.
Yet it was one of the most heart stopping bad dreams I ever had. Perhaps that was because I was afraid one of them would try to hurt Harry? Or me? The dream might've been produced from some kind of fear I had pushed away.
Yet, I had this unsettling sensation in my gut that the dream had deeper meaning then irrational fears. Immediately shaking off those thoughts with a yawn I decided it was now time to wake up Harry, even though I was content in the warmth of his arms, and the sleeping bag.
"Harry?" I said softly, placing a couple of kisses on his skin, but my lover merely responded by tightening his grip around me with a grunt. Huffing slightly I rested my hand on his warm stomach, and shook it gently.
"Kitten." I coaxed, shaking him again, and Harry groaned as he batted my hand away. "Leave me alone Louis." He mumbled, rolling his head over to the side to nuzzle his face in my hair, but I wasn't going to take that for an answer.
"Wake up you big lug! Wake up!" I whined, tazing his side, and Harry yelped softly as he pulled his face out my hair to look at me with a pout. At the sight of my sleepy Harry pouting I couldn't help but laugh, and once I laughed he gave me a lazy smile as he looked down at me nestled in his arms.
"Good morning handsome!" He sighed, his morning voice setting in as he pulled his arms away from me to sit up and rub his eyes. Gosh he was to cute. Biting my lip as a soft smile began to appear on my face, I sat up and kissed his cheek.
"Good morning sweetheart!" I said, my voice a bit more chirpy then his, and Harry turned to look at me before grabbing my face and placing a quick kiss on my lips.
"That's how you give someone a good morning kiss Mr. Tomlinson." Harry informed, then unzipping the sleeping bag and slipping out into the grasp of the cold. Shaking my head at him I slipped out of the sleeping bag as well, immediately shivering as the cold stabbed my bare skin.
"It's amazing we managed to sleep out here with out dying from the cold." I commented with a chill as I walked over to my pile of clothes and quickly began to get dress while Harry buttoned up his shirt.
"The sleeping bags I brought are designed to protect a person in artic temperatures, and we had each other to keep warm." He shrugged, then spiffing his collar before walking over to me, and helping me pull on my grass stained sweatshirt.
"I'm going to take you out to breakfest." He informed, and I nodded quickly with excitement at the thought as I batted his hands away that were now fixing my hair.
"Good! Because I'm starving." I said, brushing my fingers through my hair, and Harry nodded in agreement as he pulled out his phone and replied to a quick text prior to putting it away.
"Ashlin is going to stop by here to pick up the sleeping bags, and stuff." He informed, before wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling me up against him prior to kissing my cheek in a sloppy fashion.
Giggling at his gesture I wrapped my arms around his waist and nuzzled my face into his chest. "Thank you for the most amazing night ever! I'll never forget it." I sighed, feeling my heart flutter at the beautiful memories from last night.
Last night had been the start of my new life. We had definately started a new chapter in our story that seemed as if it would go smoothly. Of course though there was the bump called telling my family, but we'll get to that when the time came.
"I hope you don't." Harry said softly, nuzzling his face into my hair and rubbing my back as he hugged me tightly.
For a few moments we stood there peacefully, breathing in each other's morning breath, and the lingering scent left by us having sex last night. It wasn't just the lingering smell I felt though, my hips felt sore, and my knee's were killing me.
As was my back that had basically been torn open by Harry's nails. Not that I cared though, I loved it when he left his mark on me, especially when I was giving him pleasure. It made me feel importent, like I was making him pleased as well.
At times it did bother me greatly that Harry did so much for me, and I returned him with so little. If I had been as wealthy as him I would've given him anything his heart desired, done anything to make him smile like the sun in a child's drawing, and laugh.
"I love you." Harry then whispered, pulling out of the hug and kissing my forehead.
"I love you to Harry." I said softly, looking up at him with a smile; one he returned widely as he kissed my nose only a moment before a blaring horn was heard, and we both looked down the hill to see Ashlin pulling up in her light blue car with loud classical music flowing from the windows.
"Looks like that's our cue to split." Harry chuckled, wrapping his arms around my shoulders as he began to guide me down the hill, gripping me in a firm hold in case I slipped.
Once Ashlin had pulled up to the bottom of the hill she turned off the car, which stopped the irritating Mozart music, and she kicked her door open. Now you might call me a liar, or a hypocrite but Ashlin definately didn't dress like someone who listened to classical.
She was wearing short denim shorts that could pass for underwear, wedges, a white blouse that showed a red bra, and had done a heavy make up job to herself. It definately was a shock compared to her attire from yesterday.
"Hello Mr. Styles!" She called out, walking up to us upon us getting to the bottom of the hill with a bit of a slide. Glancing at her appearance briefly one last time, not finding it amusing, I gave her a polite wave with a small smile.
"Hi Ashlin." I said politely, then tightened my grip around Harry's waist as I kissed his cheek. For a brief moment she looked at me with a weird look, not nessicarily a nasty one, but one that made me uncomfortable.
"Hey Ashlin, thanks so much for setting everything up! Last night went great." Harry said, seeming unfazed as well at her appearance as he rubbed my hip bone with his thumb, and gave her a friendly smile.
"It was my pleasure." She said sweetly, then placed a lipstick kiss on his other cheek prior to looking at me with a smug smile as Harry blushed and wiped at his cheek with his sleeve.
You have got to be kidding me.
I had watched Mean Girls enough times to know that Regina George look all to well.
I should've known.
Immediately a comment almost escaped my tongue, but I bit it back as I looked away from her and changed the demeanor of my grip to a possessive one.
"Well I'm glad you didn't mind." Harry said, seeming oblvious to her sneering grin as she pinched his cheek. "Don't forget that meeting on Tuesday. I will be attending the meeting with you." She informed, as Harry batted her hand away playfully.
"Oh yeah! Don't worry, I'll be there." He said with a nod, and she gave him a soft smile as she folded her arms over her chest making it puff out more.
"Okay, and I'll make sure to have all the stuff up there cleaned up." She said, giving me a sideways glance which I decided to ignore, and Harry nodded once more.
"Thank you. See you Tuesday." Harry said, waving to her as she nodded and pulled out her now ringing phone while begining the walk up the hill. Me and Harry then walked over to his car, as I took a silent minute to ponder on what had happened.
There was no way imagined that look on her face, it was clear as day, and the way she acted with him was enough proof alone.
I could already tell by looking at her she wanted his attention, and there was no way I was going to let another problem form between me and Harry when we already had enough back home. Also she made me a bit jealous like Quiffy did.
"You know she has the hots for you right?" I asked, stopping next to Harry while he unlocked the door. At my statement Harry's eyes widden as he laughed.
"Ashlin into me? Nah. She doesn't like me like that." Harry said non-chalant as he opened my door, and I moved in front of him with a pout as I crossed my arms.
"She definately does! Did you not see the way she was dressed? Or how touchy she was?" I said firmly, and Harry gave me an 'are you serious look' as he leaned against my door.
"She doesnt' like me Louis." He said again, then gestured for me to get in the car, which I did with the intake of a frustrated breath. Once I was in the car I put my feet up on the dashboard and buckled in as I placed my feet on the dashboard in the moment of Harry getting in.
"And anyways Louis; I never notice other people hitting on me, because I only notice you." He said, leaning over and kissing my cheek before buckling in and starting the car. I had to admit that made me feel a little bit better, but I was still worried because I had a bad feeling about Ashlin in my gut.
"I thought it would've been obvious to you by the way she dressed." I mumbled, resting my hands on my knee's. "Ashlin started dressing like that in high school, she has no thing for me Louis I can assure you." Harry said, glancing at me and licking his lips briefly.
He then pulled out of the little gravel area he had parked the car so he could get on the main road. "You knew her in high school?" I asked, not really to surprised by that information, because Harry had apparently knew Zayn in high school to.
"Yes. She's a couple of years older then me though, she's twenty-five." He informed. Nodding slowly I slumped a bit in my seat as I crossed my arms over my chest in defeat.
"Okay, but I do have a bad feeling about her." I confessed quietly, and Harry shook his head at me with a smile as he held out his hand for me to take. "Louis she doesn't like me like that so don't worry." He said as I slipped my hand into his and gripped it.
We were both then quiet for the rest of the ride.
I had more I wanted to say in protest to Harry's statement, but from the way things sounded it may have just been me being a boyfriend. Not looking past the lines, and assuming things. Ashlin probably didn't even give me a look, I must've imagined it.
Sighing softly I shoved the nagging feelings in my gut away and began to concentrate on the early morning scenery. It was about ten thirty right now, yet everything was still in it's morning glory with a bright sun, and birds calling for each other.
I also felt well rested. Our wild night last night had tired me out so I had slept soundly through the whole night, with nothing but peaceful dreams about a future with Harry. That was all I wanted right now, I wanted a future with Harry.
Yes maybe in some people's eyes it wasn't an ideal thing, but it wasn't any of their buisness. I highly doubted if the both of us ever broke up that I'd be able to find someone that suited my missing piece's perfectly.
I couldn't imagine ever loving someone as much as Harry or loving someone more then Harry. It seemed physically impossible at the moment. I couldn't picture myself with any girl or any guy except him.
Though if we're being honest here Harry was the only guy who had caught my interest. "We're here." Harry then informed, drawing my scattered attention back to him instantly as he pulled into the parking lot of iHop, and I gripped his hand with a grin.
"Pancakes! My favorite." I said, finding it amusing he had chosen to take me to one of my favorite breakfest houses. Smiling widely at my statement Harry kissed my hand prior to pulling into one of the parking spaces, and turning off the car.
"Now that the secret is out I can kiss you, and hold your hand where ever we go!" Harry announced, and I felt my heart flutter at that thought. He was right. Now that basically everyone knew we were in an intimate relationship, there was no point in hiding public displays of affection.
I suppose in a way Carson had done us a favor by putting up those posters, even though he caused us a world of problems at the school.
Remaining quiet while I thought about Harry's statement, Harry slipped out of the car and walked around the front of the vehicle so he could open my door as his words officially set in.
"Your right! I never thought of it that way!" I shouted, batting away the hand he had held out so I could jump out of the car and tackle him with a hug. Laughing at my excitement Harry spun me once before putting me back on my feet and kicking my door shut prior to pecking my lips.
Giggling at him I batted his puckered lips away that were begging for a real kiss, and grabbed his hand. "C'mon now! I'm famished." I whined, tugging him towards the door, and Harry shook his head at me with a smile as he followed me inside.
When we walked inside we were met with the sweet smells of bacon, eggs, syrupy sweetness, and cooking pancakes.
A series of scent's that made my stomach want to eat itself. "Hello gentlemen, would you like a table or booth?" The waitress asked upon us walking in, and Harry gestured to the seating area.
"A booth would be nice love." He said in his rich charming tone as he gave my hand a light squeeze, and she giggled.
"Alright! Follow me please." She said, gesturing for us to follow her as she grabbed two menu's, and we did as I massaged Harry's hand with my thumb and leaned slightly against him. "Thank you." I said politely giving her a grin as we followed her into the seating area.
With in a moment she had found a vacant booth near the window, and laid out our menu's on the table. "There you go, one of our waitors or waitress' will be out soon to take your order." The girl said sweetly before disappearing back to the front where a short line of people were waiting now.
"Loubear's first." Harry said, kissing my head and nudging me towards the booth as I batted him away. "Of course kitten." I said, proud of my nickname as I brushed myself off then slipped into the booth, shortly followed by Harry who slipped into the seat across from me.
"Your welcome handsome." He teased, and I stuck my tongue out at him as I picked up the menu and began to read it will stroking my chin for rich effect. Rolling his eyes at me Harry picked up his menu as well.
"Dork." He said playfully, and I put my menu down with a scoff. "Stealing my line Styles?" I said, lifting up the menu to show Harry with my finger what I wanted and he nodded with approval.
"That was mine long before you came along Mr. Soon To Be Styles." He fired back, and I mimicked his face dramatically as I closed my menu. "I'm ready." I informed, and Harry nodded as he closed his menu and sat back.
"I'll have whatever you had." He said, giving me a lazy hand gesture, and I nodded with a smile just as the waitress came over. "Are you lads ready?" She asked with a thick accent, and I nodded sitting up a bit straighter as she flipped open her note pad.
"Order up then." She said, making me laugh at the way the words sounded with her accent, and Harry smiled softly at me.
"Two Cinnebun pancake meals please! And an apple juice for him, and orange for me." I ordered politely, proud I had remembered Harry's favorite juice, and she nodded writing it down quickly.
"Aright. We'll have your order out in a minute. Thank you for choosing iHop." She said, smiling briefly then skipping to the next table as I sighed contently and sat back. "Your such a people person." Harry chuckled, reaching out a hand across the table for me to take, and I did eagerly.
"I'm confident I guess." I shrugged, as he rubbed my hand with his thumb, and I couldn't help but feel my stomach flutter at his gesture. Harry would make the perfect husband, he was every girls dream, and I Louis Tomlinson who didn't deserve him in the slightest got him all to myself.
At that thought an importent topic slipped into my mind, and I decided now would be a good time to mention it, even though I was in no rush to make it a reality. "Harry..?" I sighed, and Harry nodded as he kissed my hand.
"Yes lovely?" He asked, and I bit my lip. "We never discussed the matter of you meeting my family. Since we're planning on getting married, I think it's only proper etiquette." I said as Harry rubbed my hand with his thumb once more, an interested smile appearing on his face.
"I'd love to meet the woman who made my world." He said softly, and I couldn't help but laugh at his sweetness.
"Don't forget the little one's! The girls will love you. Their dears when their not painting your nails while your sleeping! They'll except you right into the family, I'm sure of it." I said confidently, shuddering a bit at the memory of my twin sisters painting my nails black while I was sleeping, yet I smiled fondly at the thought of my little sisters.
Laughing at my information Harry kissed my hand. "I'll let them give me a make over." He said sweetly, and I smiled softly at him. "I think they'd love that!'' I admitted, finding the thought of my little sisters doing Harry's make up hystarical.
"Yet there is one problem.." I then admitted, looking down at the table as I bit my lip.
"What would that be?" Harry asked, his voice becoming quiet as he bit his lip and I looked back up at him.
"My parents don't know I'm in a relationship, let alone with a boy. I'm not a hunderd percent sure how they're going to take it." I admit, slouching a bit in my seat at the thought. I was terrifed to tell my parents, the last thing I wanted to do was lose their respect, or love.
I wouldn't be able to handle having my family against me, I loved them so dearly that would be like being stabbed twenty times plus two.
"Don't worry about it babe, I'm sure once they learn the full story they'll except your decision." Harry said confindently, but I could sense a bit of fear in his voice.
Nodding at his words I kissed his knuckles as I then got a brilliant idea, one that might make this confession thing be easier on all of us.
"I would like to think that they will, but before we tell them I want to pull a fast one on them." I said, sitting up straight again as Harry leaned foreward with interest.
"What do you mean?"
"I think I should take you to meet them first. We'll tell them that we're just friends. Then once they all fall in love with you we'll spring it on them!" I announced, and Harry nodded with approval.
"Sounds good to me Mr. Tomlinson." He said, grabbing my hand and kissing it before frowning. "But there's a small problem with that." He then informed, and I frowned as well. "Which is?" I asked, and Harry shrugged.
"I won't be able to keep my hands off you, or my lips." I then let out a breath of relief, for I had feared a moment there really was a problem, and I smirked. "Before we go I'll let you put your hands and lips all over me to make up for lost time." I said, and Harry smirked as well.
"Good, because you have no idea how hard it is for me." He said, making me shrug. "I think I have a general idea." I said truthfully, can't remembering a time where Harry didn't touch me in some way, and he smiled.
"I love you." He said sincerely, as I smiled back.
''I love you more." I said just as honest, and he raised an eyebrow. "In your dreams." He stated, and I opened my mouth to protest but the waitress showed up with our food, and we unclasped our hands as we grabbed our drinks, and plates;
Harry thanking her with a wink, and our conversation succeeded as we began to eat in peaceful silence.
