Dreaming about London

A first date

I came home around six o’clock, shoving all of my bags through the door and immediately jumping in the shower to start getting ready. Niall would be here to pick me up in two hours and I still had a long way to get ready. I shaved my legs, dried my hair upside down and put on some body oil to make my skin feel soft and less dry, now that the cold weather had arrived.

I did my makeup that consisted of some marked eyebrows, black eyeliner, mascara and a natural looking red lipstick that matched the color of the polish on my nails. I put my hair in a low bun as Eleanor had suggested me earlier, but made sure that it looked a tiny bit messy and casual in order not to make the look too dressed up. I put on the old silver jewelling, the dress and my shoes.

I was really happy with the way I looked, it was very rare that I felt this way about myself, this dress was absolutely worth every penny!

“Maja, Niall is here!” I heard Aida’s voice yell from the living room so I grabbed my clutch and walked out of the room towards the door.
Em was in there as well letting her mouth fall open when she saw me.

“Is it okay?” I asked insecurely.

Aida now turned around and had the same reaction as Em, none of them were saying anything but their eyes told everything I needed to be told and I felt a proud, but nervous smile form on my lips.

“New shoes?” Aida asked.

“Yeah,” I said blushing at the thought of what had happened at store.

“Where did you get them, they’re fabulous!” she then exclaimed moving closer to take a look.

“Uhm… Manolo Blahnik,” I said with hesitation.

“Get out!” Aida shouted. “Can you afford that?”

“Well…” I began not knowing whether it was a good idea to tell too many people about it. “He kind of gave me a deal.”

“How much?” Em asked now sitting at the floor studying me feet.

“Uhm… about… a hundred pounds.” I mumbled that last bit actually feeling a bit embarrassed about having taken advantage of Niall’s name and fame this.

“What? How?” she said looking up at me.

“You know, Eleanor told him that I was going on a date with Niall to The Ledbury and then he wanted me to wear them in front of photographers and stuff, you know… doing a bit of advertising. He also knew Eleanor very well from before and so on…”

“Wow,” Aida said with an appreciative nod. “Well, just as long as I get to borrow them one day.”
I laughed. “Of course, sweetie.”

At that second the doorbell rang and Em went over to let Niall in.

The nerves that had been building up inside me for the entire day were now climaxing as I too walked towards the stairs to meet him on the way. My two friends both wiggled their eyebrows at me as I walked past them in the door, I just rolled my eyes and went down the stairs.

“Use a condom,” Em yelled probably loud enough for Niall to hear and I send her a burning glance as I heard him say from underneath me:

“Condoms are overrated.”

“Bastard,” I mumbled at her as she and Aida were struggling to breathe through their hard laughing. I didn’t get to spend any more time on those two dorks as I heard his voice suddenly close to me.

“Wow,” he gushed and I turned my head to look at him and there he was; standing at the foot of the stairs I was now walking down. It almost made my heart and stomach hurt to see how handsome he was looking in his black skinny jeans a plain white t-shirt and a black blazer. “You look… really… beautiful.”

“Gurl, ya’ll don’t look too had yourself!” I joked in order not to make the atmosphere too serious and also to take the attention away from me, somehow he made my knees go weak every time he looked at me and especially if he were giving me compliments, but it was just not the right time now when I was wearing these heels. I wrapped my arms around his neck to get a kiss.

“I’ve missed you today,” he said with a smile when we’d pulled away from each other.

“I’ve missed you too,” I smiled back at him.

“Come on, let’s go,” he said grabbing my hand and leading me down the rest of the stairs.

The restaurant wasn’t very far away from my apartment, it only took about ten or fifteen minutes before he pulled up his car in front of a small red carpet that showed the way to an indeed really nice looking place.

“Wow, guess you meant it when you said fancy…” I gushed out the window when I saw a waiter coming towards the car.

“You’re okay with that, right?” he said.

“Sure! And just relieved that I’m not overdressed at all,” I added as I saw a woman in a long white and pretty accessorized dress walk inside with a man in a suit.

The waiter opened the door for me and at first I didn’t know what he was doing and I was just about to ask who the hell he thought he was, but then he reached a hand wearing a white glove to help out of the car.

“Welcome to The Ledbury,” he said as I stood out probably still frowning at him a bit. “Good evening, mr. Horan,” he then greeted as Niall had come around the car to stand beside me at the red carpet.

“Hello,” he said shaking the hand of the waiter as well and then giving him the keys and he went on to parking the car.

The flashes that had been annoying my eyes, making them go almost completely blind, were now becoming worse and worse as we walked forward hand in hand. The photographers and journalists standing around the carpet were now shouting questions at us trying to block each other’s voices.

“Niall Horan, is this your girlfriend? What’s her name? Who is she?”

I couldn’t help but getting slightly annoyed that there weren’t anybody asking me the questions instead, like I was some sort of child that didn’t want or know how to answer. But if there was something that I’d learned from all this hassle with dating a celebrity like Niall, it was that you don’t get ANYTHING good from telling anyone if they’re acting rude. So I kept my mouth shut and smiled politely until a woman’s voice from my right said:

“Where’s your dress from?”

I assumed that that question was for me so I turned my head to see a female journalist waiting for my answer holding a recorder in her hand ready.

“Actually I don’t know what brand it is, it was a really nice shop on Oxford Street though, some nice and helpful people,” I said holding up the best and most fabulous smile I could. “Try to look at my neck though, there might be some sort of sticker or something.” I turned around for the woman to look.

“Marks and Spencer,” she read out loud halfway laughing and I saw that Niall was looking at me with a confused smile a few steps away talking to a male journalist.

“Thank you, I’m going to need to know that, definitely going back,” I said.

“It’s beautiful,” she said. “What about the shoes?”

“Manolo Blahnik,” I answered noticing the unknown, but also very proud feeling of saying those words.

“Oh really?”

“Yeah, my first pair,” I said. “I could easily get used to them though.”

“Me too, I have a couple, they’re amazing. Your clutch?”

“Vintage.”

“Well okay, thank you so much.”

“You’re welcome.”

Now it seemed like the rest of the people had noticed my, apparently surprising, ability of speaking and so they started asking questions also.

“My name is Maja.”

“The accent is from Denmark.”

“Recently moved here to London.”

“I’m 21.”

“Working at a bagel shop.”

These were all answers I managed to give to the question I caught on what were. Niall took my hand and we started walking inside.

“Bye, have a nice night,” some of them said and we both looked back to send them a smile. Not that bad actually, I thought.

“Are there always that many people outside this place?” I sighed at him when we got inside.

“No, only when they get a tip that some celebrity might be there, which is relatively often. I have no idea how they get all their information,” he said as another waiter showed us the way to a table with a white tablecloth and endless amounts of different glasses and cutlery. Around us were people sitting in their suits, long dresses and sparkling jewelry.

“God, this is beautiful,” I said looking around. “And a bit confusing,” I then frowned down at the stuff on the table.

“Actually I’m not very good at this either,” Niall laughed. “But they’re usually very helpful to tell you which tea spoon to use for your coffee.”

I now laughed as well as we were handed a couple of menus by the waiter.

“I don’t know what this is,” I said reading about eatable ingredients that apparently existed in cooking.

“I thought you cooked a lot,” he teased me and I stuck my tongue out at him.

“Not with this. Or at least not in English, I might know some of it once I see it on a plate,” I said.

“The scallops are nice, I’ve had them a couple of times.”

“Well, then I’ll just have that,” I said closing the menu for the starters, which made him laugh.

“You’re so cute,” he smiled.

As a main course I had something called Belted Galloway Beef that was served with something else I didn’t know, but it turned out to taste absolutely amazing.

“I’ve never had a three course dinner at a restaurant before,” I mumbled not wanting all the other fancy and probably rich people around us to hear me.

“Really?” he asked. “Well, then I hope my plan worked.”

“Which plan?” I asked trying to read the smirk on his face.

“I wanted to impress you,” he said while cutting his food.

“Impress me?” I almost exclaimed surprised by what he said. “Why?”

“Because… you know… You mean a lot to me. And well. You’re amazing,” he smiled happily.

“Then you’re lucky, I’m not that hard to impress, as you can see,” I said.

“Stop doing that,” he then said still having the same smile written on his lips.

“Doing what?” I asked confused.

“Making a joke out of all the compliments I give you.”

To begin with I didn’t know what he was talking about, but as I gave his words a rethinking I suddenly realized that he might be right. I never took any nice words seriously, or at least not when they involved me. And as he sat there across from me with the most kind and caring smile I’d ever seen on him, I couldn’t really manage to get a reply out of my mouth.

“I mean every word I say about you,” he continued. “You’re amazing.”

It felt kind of weird. Not giving him a witty comment back immediately. After a few seconds of taking his words in I heard myself saying:

“Thank you.”

“And you managed to say that without a ghetto accent,” he nodded appreciative and so I got to laugh anyway. I loved that no matter what situation it was he always made me smile.

We spent the next couple of hours eating some very delicious food, drinking wine and having fantastic conversations about the weirdest things. Around eleven o’clock when they’d start closing up the restaurant we walked outside, where there were still a few persistent journalists wanting a story, probably the ones with the warmest coats.

We quickly answered a few questions before heading towards his car that the waiter had drove out of the private parking lot. Niall opened the door for me like a real gentleman and also to give the photographers something to turn their blinding flashes at.

We drove home towards my place, since it was closer.

“Do you want to spend the night?” I asked having a couple of dirty things in mind after several hours of foreplay at that restaurant.

“Yes please,” he just said like he was only waiting for me to ask. I think we both knew what was going to happen, or more likely; what we were hoping would happen.

When we stepped inside the apartment it was left empty and the lights were turned off, I’m guessing the girls had gone to bed early to be ready for our concert tomorrow.

“Wow, this looks beautiful,” Niall said when he saw my room.

“Oh that’s right, you haven’t seen it after I finished furnishing it the other day,” I remembered as I stepped out of my Manolo’s with a huge sigh of relief.

“Uncomfortable?” he asked me.

“Actually these were all right,” I said.

“God, I’m happy I don’t have to wear those things,” he said while taking off his blazer and hanging it over an old vintage chair that was standing in the corner of my room.

I slipped down the straps on my dress and took it off so that I was now only standing in my black set of underwear that I’d made sure to wear at the occasion. I tried to seem unaffected by the hungry glances he was sending me as I let down my hair pretending I didn’t notice him.

But suddenly the lights were turned off and though I turned around I couldn’t see Niall anywhere because of the darkness, but I felt his arms wrapping around me and pulling me in for a forceful kiss. He slid his tongue inside my mouth right away.

“Oh God, I’ve been wanting to do that properly all night,” he moaned as he quickly pulled away again. “You know…” he continued while undoing my bra, “that dress was the only piece of clothing I haven’t been wanting to rip off of you. But now that you took it off yourself…”

He roughly slid off my panties as well, scooped me up in his arms and lay me down on the bed crawling in between my legs.

“Niall…” I began to make him slow down a bit, I was surprised by his dirty and dominating way of seducing me.

“Ssh, you better be quiet. Unless you want the others to hear everything,” he said ice cold and immediately started licking me, so that I had to grab onto the sheets in order not to scream with pleasure, almost pulling them off the bed.
