Trapped

Haley foot pounded on the gas petal and we took off towards the exit of the restaurant. Louis was already at front of the restaurant paying for the meal frantically. I gave Haley directions to Louis’s flat as we sped across town.

“We need to think of a way to get to the basement. Louis has someone guarding the place so no one escapes.” I cry out.

Haley nods and pulls up to the driveway. She opens the glove compartment and pulls out a gun. She hands it to me and gets out of the car. I looked around the car for something to hide Lucy and found a blanket. I laid her down in the seat and covered her with a blanket.

“Shh, mommy is on a mission. You need to stay super quiet okay?” I whisper.

“Yes mommy.” Lucy whispers.

I smile and climb out of the car, holding the gun to me. Haley was already at the front door, picking at the lock. I walked up behind her, the gun ready and loaded. I would hate to ever kill someone, but in this case, it was necessary. The door finally clicked and Haley pushed it open. The guy who Louis hired stood there with a gun in his hand.

“Ah, Mrs. Horan. Louis called me about your returning. You must be Haley, Rai’s little hero. I hate to say it but there will be no saving today.” The man chuckles at his own joke.

He holds the gun up and aims it towards me. I quickly lift up my gun and shoot the man. It hits him square in the arm and he falls to the floor in pain.

“Come on lets go get the others!” I direct.

We frantically race for the basement door and unlock the first lock. A loud crack hits the wall right next to me and a piece of the wall falls to the floor. I turn to the doorway and see Louis holding a gun in his hand, aiming it right at me.

“I told you if you tried to escape, you and everyone else would be dead meat. Well, you broke the rule so say your last goodbyes.” Louis demands.

I drop to the floor as Louis shoots a bullet. Haley runs for cover by the table as I begin running down the hall towards the bathroom. I quickly run in as Louis begins scrambling down the hallway and I slam the door, locking it shut. Louis begins pounding on the door and I can hear his muffled yell outside. The bathroom luckily had a window, but it was locked shut with a key lock. If I had a hair clip I would be long gone by now, but sadly I didn’t. I climbed into the bathtub in case Louis broke in and covered my head. I could feel the tears trickling down my cheeks slowly and steadily. I could hear a hammer slamming into the door and finally the door cracked and fell down. The shower curtain flew across the bathroom and Louis stood there with a red face. I looked up and his face softened a little. It quickly became red again as he sat down next to me.

“Why the fuck did you run off. I told you, no one would get hurt if you just listened! Why the hell are you so fucking difficult! You’re such a bitch!” Louis yells in my ear.

“If I’m such a bitch then why are you so in love with me then?” I reply casually. I promised myself I wouldn’t act scared around Louis. I wasn’t weak, no not like that.

Louis looked pretty shocked at what I had said. He stood up and headed towards the doorway that no longer had a door in it.

“Just cut the shit and get down in the fucking basement.” Louis growls.

I stand up and walk past Louis with my head held high. I noticed Haley had left already, probably to get Lucy out of here. I didn’t blame her. I would have done the same. Well at least now she knows and she can get help. I also noticed the man was gone as well. I tried not to think of it, but it seemed almost as if the man took Haley and Lucy away with him. I just hope I was going mad and that wasn’t the case.

I walked down the stairs and everyone looked at me, happy I was back. They all stood up and ran over to hug me and then I saw it. Haley and Lucy were trapped in here with us. I titled my head backwards and sighed loudly.

“He got you guys down here too?” I ask Haley.

“Yeah. We need to get out of here! I already can’t stand it in here!” Haley yells.

I nod my head in agreement. The bad thing was there wasn’t a single window down here that we could escape through. I scrambled over to Lucy and picked her up, holding her tightly.

“Mommy, mommy.” Lucy whispers.

“You’re okay Lucy. Everything is going to be fine. Trust me.” I assure her.

She nods and wraps her arms around my neck. I smile and sit down in a chair. Within five minutes, Lucy is already sound asleep. I smile and hand her to Rose to put her to bed. Rose begins to carry her to the back room where there is a mattress on the floor to lay on. Niall comes over and sits down next to me. He wraps his arm around me and gives me a kiss on the cheek.

“I’m just glad you’re okay.” Niall trembles.

“Yeah. I’m just thankful none of us are dead. At this rate, I’ll probably be the first one dead though.” I laugh at my joke.

“Don’t talk like that. None of us are going to die, trust me. It’s just going to take some time.” Niall replies.

I nod and Niall gives me another kiss on the cheek. He stands up and goes into the back room to go by Lucy. Haley was already making herself a bed with the blanket that was supplied down there. She found a pillow and laid down, trying to fall asleep. None of us could sleep on the first night, so I highly doubt she would. Zayn, Liam, and Harry were all searching around the basement for things that we could use for beds and such. We hadn’t done much searching around in the time that we’ve been here, so we might as well search now. Danielle, Alyssa, and Demi were all trying to find food, expired or not, food.

I soon began to feel sleepy myself and got a pillowcase. I filled it with some soft foam I found and grabbed some clothes that had been washed in the sink and sown together for a blanket. I laid down and slowly fell asleep. I couldn’t get this one thing out of my mind. I had been thinking about it ever since we were first captured by Louis. We needed to escape, but more importantly, we all needed to stay alive.
