Through The Dark

Back For You

Katie and I had just entered the venue of the One Direction concert that we've been planning to see for over a year. We literally saved up every last dime we made from working at the Country Club over summer just so we could come to Chicago and see them live --- front row.

My names Brooklyn. I'm 17 years old, and currently an average student at my high school. It will be my best friend Katie and I's senior year when we go back to school in August, so we've been enjoying our summer while it's lasted. It's only the middle of June, so we still have tons of time.

We've been One Direction fans ever since 2011. This was our first time seeing them in concert though, so we we're literally have mini heart attacks walking into that stadium. Katie's favorite member was Niall, because they both had matching blonde hair. Mine was Harry, just because well....he's Harry.

I glanced down at the bracelet on my arm. Katie bought it for me when we went shopping last week as kind of a joke. It said "I <3 Harry" and she had a matching Niall one.

"Eeeeepp," Katie said while she yanked on my arm,"We. Are. Here. Brooke."
We both looked around and admired how large the stadium was.
I looked at Katie and laughed as I pulled her in the direction where our seats were.

After we arrived to our seats, which were by far some of the best seats in the stadium, first row and towards the center, we sat down and awaited for the concert to begin.

Katie and I have been friend's since the second grade. She's been there for me through everything and I'm so lucky to call her my best friend.

While I was lost in my thoughts, the lights had shut out and we immediately stood up. The opening act, 5 Seconds of Summer, came on stage and performed some songs. They were really good. To be honest I had no clue who they were until now and I'll defiantly have to look them up on Twitter later.

It was finally time for One Direction to come on stage and we were freaking out. So hard.

The opened with "Up All Night" and Liam came out first. They sounded per-fect.

Pretty much during the entire concert, I could feel Harry watching me. I was probably just imagining things, but I could swear that every time I looked at him, he was already looking at me.

Next they performed "Back For You" which has always been one of my top favorites. Katie and I were jamming hard and then all of the sudden I felt my phone vibrate. I don't know how I felt it because the whole entire stadium was already vibrating, but I felt it. I pulled my phone out and saw that I had a long text from my ex boyfriend, Nick. We broke up because I caught him cheating on me with one of our teachers. um GROSS.

As I opened the text to begin reading it, I noticed all of the girls around me started freaking out. I didn't know why, so I just continued reading. The text was another horribly written apology and I just laughed at it. As I hit the lock button on my phone, I looked up to watch the concert again. I immediately made eye contact with someone I was not expecting to see, leaning against the rail in front of me....5 inches from my face, smiling at me.

"Interesting message you've got their?" He asked in his deep British accent. Oh my god. What was happening.
