All's Fair in Love and War

Reunited

"Harry!" I tackled him to the floor, not caring that we were in the middle of the airport. I hadn't seen my best friend in two months, and I missed him horribly. I wasn't used to being away from him, but with both of our careers, finding time to spend together was hard.

"Hey Ariana." He chuckled, kissing my head. I got up and helped him off the floor before moving to hug the rest of the boys.

"It's good to see you guys again." I grinned at the boys that had become my second family. When I first met them, I thought I'd have a problem with Louis because of his immaturity, but it was one of the things that I loved most about him. When things were getting to serious, you could always count on him for a laugh.

"We missed you, RiRi. You have to come visit us more the next time we leave." Liam said, putting his arm around my shoulder as I walked with them to baggage claim.

"That's if filming allows it. You know I'm just as busy as you guys, but we're done filming this season, so I have a bit of a break." After getting their bags and getting situated in the car, I plopped myself down on Harry's lap. Luckily, the car windows were tinted, so we didn't have to worry about someone seeing us and pulling us over.

"I missed you." I mumbled into Harry's shirt, breathing in his wonderful scent.

"I missed you, too. I have some stuff I want to talk to you about." I nodded, knowing it wasn't a conversation for the car, but that was okay. I didn't need to talk to him right now. I was fine with just being in his arms.

"So when are you guys going to tell the world that you're dating?" Niall asked, leaning on the back of our seat. I laughed and shook my head.

"When we actually start dating." I pointed out, reminding him of the fact that Harry and I were just friends. No one seemed to be able to get that through their schools. Harry and I never saw each other like that. We had been friends since we were babies, and that's the way it would stay.

"Which is going to be when?" Harry chimed in, smirking down at me.

"When Niall stops eating." I said, and everyone gasped at me. That's basically never. Everyone knows that Niall loves to eat like no other.

"Way to crush my hopes and dreams, Ari." Harry said, poking out his bottom lip. I laughed and kissed his cheek.

"You know I love you." And I did, just not the way everyone thought. Harry meant the world to me, and I'll be damned if something like a relationship screwed that up. We were perfectly fine being friends. We could do nearly everything couples did, besides kiss and have sex, and not have to worry about feelings getting involved. We could go out and see other people without the other getting jealous. Our relationship was perfect.

"Love you too." I grinned and rested my head on his shoulder. Before I knew it, I was being shaken awake. I looked out the window and noticed that we were back at Harry and Louis' flat, but Louis wasn't in the car.

"He's staying at Eleanor's for the night." Harry said as if he read my mind. I got out of the car and helped him carry his things inside before collapsing on the couch. There was no reason for me to be this tired, but I knew Harry didn't mind. He was going to crash soon anyway. He sat down on the couch, and I placed my head in his lap.

"What did you want to talk to me about?" I asked, remembering what he told me in the car.

"Well, Taylor and I broke up." I was surprised that the media hadn't gotten wind of that yet. Directioners were better at finding out information than the C.I.A. Surely they already knew what happened. Why wasn't it all over TV yet?

"Awww, I'm sorry Haz." I said, rubbing his knee.

"It's okay. I don't really know what I was expecting to come out of that one." I didn't know what he was expecting either. She seemed a bit too emotional for his taste, but I didn't say anything when he told me he wanted to pursue her. I learned the hard way not to judge his girlfriends right away. He always got upset with me when I did that, so I gave them chances first now.

"You'll find your princess." I knew he would. Despite what the media thought, he was actually a really good guy. He was just trying to find his Mrs. Right, but being in a famous boy band made sure that everyone knew all of his business. It made everything harder for him. In my eyes, he was just being a normal teenage boy, you know, testing the waters. To everyone else, he was a womanizer. I hated that more than half the world saw him that way. No one ever got to see the real him. They never gave him a chance.

"Well, the other thing I wanted to tell you was that I'm thinking of buying a flat out in LA." My eyes widened. That would honestly be amazing.

"Are you serious?" I asked, sitting up. I turned to look at him.

"Yeah. I mean, our fanbase is growing, and we're going to be in the US a lot for the next tour. When we have breaks, I wouldn't have to spend so much time in a hotel or flying back and forrth. Plus, I'd be closer to you." I grinned. That would make things a lot easier for us to see each other.

"That's great, Harry."

"I want you to help me pick the house." My grin widened. I always wanted to help Harry pick his first house. When we were younger, we actually made an agreement that we were going to get our first house together.

"Of course I'll help you pick your house!" I said, wrapping my arms around him.

"Our house." He said, and I grinned up at him.

"You really mean it?" I asked, bouncing excitedly.

"Yes. We made a pact, remember? First house, we get together." I squealed and tackled him onto the floor. Harry and I would be getting a house together. I knew how dangerous this was. Harry and I were crazy when we were together. I felt bad for our neighbors.
