Angels Wear Black
Sign-Ups Part II
I looked through my ginormous walk-in closet.
"No, no, no, no, NO, no and yes." I grabbed my fall outfit and put it on. "Makeup." I sat on my chair next to my mirror and started applying my makeup. Red lipstick, foundation, gold eye shadow, eye liner, mascara, concealer, and bronzer.
"Lina, your aunt wanted me to tell you that breakfast is ready." Our maid, Hannah, said.
"I'll be right down!" I called. I heard my door close silently. I looked myself over. My stick-straight light brown hair, frizz-less. Thanks to special treatments I get every month. I grabbed my purse, and walked out of my room
"Morning." I said.
"Morning." She gave me a plate with two pancakes on them and a slice of bacon. I grabbed a fork and dove in. Uncle Rob walked in.
"Good morning ladies." He said.
"Morning!" I said. I finished my food, and sat up.
"You want me to have Phil drive you?" Uncle Rob asked.
"Sure. Can we use...the limo, by chance?"
"That's exactly what I was thinking." I smiled. Then the bell rang, and Hannah went to get it.
"Lina, a visitor is here to see you." I got up. And walked to the door.
"Thank you, Hannah." I said, and opened the door. Gem was standing there.
"Uh, hi. Can I come in?"
"Y-yeah." I stepped out of the way to let her in. She walked in. "Why you here?" I asked, as nicely as I could.
"Uh, Daisy said you like to sing. And started talking badly about you to May." I hate her. I hate her. I really hate her!
"Really?" She nodded.
"I just came to warn you to be careful. May isn't to happy."
"She...she promised not to say a thing. Cause in choir-" Crap.
"Choir? Daisy isn't in choir."
"Oh, did I say choir? I meant, last hour."
"Oh, well. Just wanted to tell you. She said your signing up for the showcase." I thought about it.
"Yes. Yes I am."
