Angels Wear Black

We drove to my house. No one said a word.
"Lina," Harry asked, "You alright?"
"I miss France." I said. He nodded. I knew what it meant, he missed France too. We pulled into my driveway. "Welcome home, Soxx." Soxx slept soundly in the carrier. I stepped out. Still in the same clothes as yesterday. Which bothered me. Harry got out, and gave me a hug. He smiled.
"Did you have fun?" I smiled, and nodded.
"Thanks. For everything." He smiled, and kissed my cheek.
"See you Monday." I nodded. He got in the car, and drove off. Leaving a dust trail behind them. I sighed. And walked inside. Aunt Lynn was standing there. Smiling.
"Lina! He got you a kitten!" I smiled, and nodded.
"Aunt Lynn, this is Soxx. Its our last names put together." She smiled.
"I love it. I'll get everything later." I got Soxx out of the carrier. She looked around, then ran to the couch. She wrapped up in a ball, and slept in the middle. "Jet lag. How was your trip?" I took a deep breath.
"Amazing. France is...perfect." She smiled.
"No place is perfect. But, some are closer than others." She led me to the kitchen. "You hungry?" i sat in a chair. She opened the fridge.
"Starving. Plane food is not very satisfying." She got out a carton, two bowls, and two spoons. She turned to me. Two bowls of ice cream in her hands.
"Little Back Home celebration between the two of us." She handed one to me.
"Ice cream for lunch. This is what I love about you." I said.
"I thought you loved the fact that I took you in." I nodded.
"That too." She laughed.
"Eat your ice cream." I laughed. And enjoyed the place I now call...
