Just a Fool

It's been two months and only seeing the kids on the weekend has taken it's toll on me.Today is Friday and I have to pick Chase, Chris, and Phoebe up from school and then Harry is going to bring Piper to the house later.

"I'll see you tomorrow.What does Ross want for his birthday?" I asked Madison as we walked to the front of the shop.

"Who knows. Just get him something to do with cars, and Chase and Chris are spending the night tomorrow right?" Madison asked.

"Yeah. See you all tomorrow!" I said as I walked out to my car. I drove to get Chris and Phoebe first and as I reached to open the door to the building it opened and hit me in my head.

"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry! Ryan watch where you're going ok buddy?" A very handsome man asked as he picked up his son.

“It’s fine. I should have watched my surroundings.” I said rubbing me head.

“It’s not your fault.” He said seriously. I nodded my head to avoid an argument with a man I didn’t know.

“Ok. Ummm I have to get my kids.” I said moving a strand of hair out my face.

“Oh yeah of course. Sorry again.” He said before walking off. I smiled to myself as I walked in. I was broken out of my trance when I heard Phoebe yell my name and ran and hugged me.

“I missed you mommy.” She said squeezing my neck and not letting go. Christian ran and hugged my leg.

“I missed you guys sooo much. Grab your backpacks so we can go get bubby then go home.” I said setting Phoebe down and then going to sign them out while they got their bags. Once they got their bags they ran ahead of me but waited on the sidewalk before grabbing my hands to so could walk to the car.

“Mommy can we have a picnic?” Phoebe asked as I began to drive to pick Chase up.

“Sure but we have to go to bed early tonight since we are going to Ross’s birthday tomorrow.” I said as I pulled up to Chase’s school where I saw the same guy from earlier talking to Chase and his friends. I stepped out the car and Chase saw me and ran to me.

“Mommy!” he said hugging me. I hugged him back and I didn’t want to let him go.

“Hey buddy. Who were you talking to?” I asked as the guy from earlier and a little boy walked towards us.

“This is my friend Rodger and his daddy” Chase said as I opened the door to put his bag in.

“Well it seems you’re following me today. Well since you are I think we deserve to know each other’s names. I’m Landon.” He said holding his hand out.

“Nice to meet you I’m Nichole.” I said shaking his hand. We stood there while our sons talked for a little bit.

“Mommy can Rodger spend the night tonight?” Chase asked me with pleading eyes. I hate saying no to any of my kids so I gave in.

“Only if it’s ok with Rodger’s daddy.” I said looking at Landon.

“Of course. Umm give me your address and I’ll drop him off in an hour or two.” He said taking out his phone and going to the notes. I told him my address and then we all got in our cars. I went to the toy store real quick so we could get Ross a present and then we went back home.

“How about we make our own pizzas since Rodger is spending the night.” I said hanging up all three kids’ bags on their hook along with their coats.

“Yay pizza!” Chris yelled I laughed and went to the living room to turn on the TV for them so I could look to see if I had the ingredients. I didn’t have pizza sauce so I texted Noelle asking if she could bring me some along with the kids so they could see their cousins. She said they would be over soon. Just as I was about to sit down the doorbell rang and it was Landon along with another man who was carrying Ryan.

“Hi come on in. Chase, Rodger is here!” I said stepping aside to let them in. Chase came running around the corner and then he led Rodger to his room, while I led Landon and the other guy to the living room.

“Nichole this is my partner John and you met Ryan earlier.” Landon said as we sat down. Of course all the hot ones had to be gay. Well besides Harry.

“Mommy can I have juice?” Chris asked walking around the corner. When he and Ryan made eye contact Ryan squirmed out of John’s arm and went and hugged Chris.

“Mommy this is my friend.” Chris said pointing to Ryan.

“I can see that buddy. Maybe Ryan’s daddies will let him spend the night with you.” I said.

“Can I spend the night?” Ryan asked looking between his dads hopefully.

“Sure. I’ll go get your pajama and clothes for tomorrow.” John said standing up and giving Landon a quick kiss. After John left the boys went to the play room while Phoebe came and sat on my lap and watched TV.

“You’re the first parent that I have known who hasn’t cringed when John and I kiss in front of their kid.” Landon said.

“It doesn’t bother me.” I simply replied as I heard the doorbell. I set Phoebe on the couch and went to answer it. When I did I saw Harry holding Piper.

“I just fed her so she should be good for a while.” Harry said handing her to me.

“Thanks. I was wondering if I could get the kids on Thursday next week because my parents are having their 40th wedding anniversary and I told them the kids would be there.” I said bouncing Piper on my hip so she wouldn’t get antsy.

“Why can’t you get them Friday then?” he asked me.

“Because Noelle and I plan on leaving Thursday night.” I said.

“Well Kali and I planned on taking them to meet her parents on Thursday.” Harry said raising his voice.

“Well I’m sorry but I think their biological grandparents are more important.” I said raising mine as well. Piper could tell something was going on because she began to cry.

“I can take her.” Landon said coming and taking her from me and I thanked him before he walked to the living room trying to calm her down.

“Who the hell is he and why is he around my kids?” Harry asked with pure rage at this moment.

“He is a friend and remember I told you that you don’t have a say in who I have around OUR kids since you didn’t ask me if Kali could be around them.” I said crossing my arms.

“What the ever fucking hell! Take the damn kids on Thursday but that just means you get them next Saturday instead of Friday.” Harry said.

“No it doesn’t the court says my sister gets them on Friday.” Noelle said walking in and sending her kids to find my kids.

“Stay out of this Noelle. This doesn’t concern you.” Harry said facing her.

“Sorry to break it to you but if it concerns my little sister, or any of my nieces or nephews it concerns me, so here’s what’s going to happen. She is going to get them Thursday you are going to like it and then next Friday she is going to get them like normal now leave.” Noelle said stepping out of the door way. After Harry left we both began to laugh.

“How did I get such an amazing big sister?” I asked as we walked to the kitchen so I could start the pizza dough.

“I don’t know but aren’t you glad you do and who was that holding Piper in the living room?” Noelle asked me.

“It’s Chris’ and Chase’s friends’ dad. Well one of them at least.” I said as Landon walked in holding Piper.

“Who ever said all that to him slayed.” He said laughing.

“Landon that would be my big sister Noelle. Elle this is Landon.” I said introducing them. They said hi and Landon set Piper in her high chair so they could help me get the table ready for the kids to make their pizzas. When the dough was ready I split it in nine piles. When John came back we exchanged numbers and then he and Landon left and the kids, Noelle, and I made the pizzas. I changed Piper in her pajamas and then laid her down. I then sent the kids to put theirs on and then all the boys hung out in the play room since there was a TV in there while Noelle and I took the girls to the movie room. They wanted to watch Barbie: Princess and the Popstar.

Half way through the movie both girls fell asleep so we carried them to Phoebe’s room and laid them down and then I went and told the boys to go to bed. Chase and Rodger went to Chase’s room and Ryan and Chris went to Chris’ room. Noelle and I went to the living room and sat on the couch.

“So how is peanut?” Noelle asked placing her hand on my stomach.

“Peanut is the calmest out of them all because at this point the others were kicking like crazy.” I said.

“That’s good. I know that the others can’t wait to see them next weekend.” She replied laying her head on the couch. We just sat in silence and then I felt something drip down my leg. I looked and saw a little bit of blood.

“Elle.” I said looking at her.

“Hmmm.” She replied looking at me.

“I’m bleeding from where I shouldn’t be.” I replied looking down in worry.

“Ok call on of the boys and girls then we can go.” Elle said. I nodded my head and called Zayn and Perrie. They rushed over and when they got there Elle and I went to the ER. We were rushed in and everything was a blur.

“Ok Mrs. Styles we are going to need you to push.” The doctor said. I was confused as to what was happening so I just pushed and squeezed Noelle’s hand and began to cry. When I was told I was done pushing I didn’t hear a cry or anything. All I saw was the doctor and nurses surrounding my baby and working in a hurry.
