Just a Fool

Nichole's P.O.V

"Chase hurry up if you want to talk to your uncles and daddy before we leave for school!" I shouted up the stairs as I got Phoebe and Christian their breakfast.

"Coming mommy!" Chase shouted. He ran into the kitchen and I put his bowl of cereal in front of him then went to wake up and get Piper dressed. When I was finished I found Chase,Phoebe,and Christian all sitting on the couch. I went and sat between them and turned the laptop on.

"Are you guys ready for your first days?" I asked them since today is Phoebe and Christian's first day of preschool and Chase's first day of Kindergarten. They all nodded their heads. Soon I got a Skype call. When I accepted it I saw all the guys with Perrie and Eleanor except Harry.

"Ready for Kindergarten big man?" Zayn asked Chase.

"Duhhh Uncle Zayn!" Chase replied rolling his eyes. We all couldn't help but laugh.

"What about me what about me?" Phoebe asked.

"Are you ready for preschool?" Eleanor asked her. She nodded her head vigorously. We Skyped for ten more minutes before I had to drop the kids off at school. Harry never joined the others.As I was putting Piper in her seat and the other three climbed in Christian asked me why Harry wasn't there.

"He was very busy buddy. We can Skype him when you get home.I promise now lets get you guys to school." I said as they all buckled up.Once they were buckled I backed out of the driveway and drove Chase to school.When we arrived I turned and looked at him.He had a nervous expression on his face.

"I changed my mind mommy.I don't want to go to school." Chase said looking at me with worry in his eyes.I got out of the car and walked to his door and took him out. I handed him his backpack and then I got down to his height.

"You are going to do fine bubs.You will have fun and make new friends and then when school is over mommy will be here to pick you up ok?" I asked him. He nodded his head gave me a hug and kiss then slowly walked into the building. I watched him walk in before I got back in the car and drove to the twins' preschool.

When we arrived I helped them out of the car and then I took Piper out of her seat and walked them to their class. When we walked in their teacher showed them their cubbyholes and Christian ran to go play with toys. Phoebe just stood behind my legs.

"Mommy can I go home with you and Piper please?" She asked me with leading eyes. I picked her up in my other arm.

"Mommy and Piper are going to the bakery today. You will have fun.Now go play with brother. I'll see you at the end of the day." I said giving her a kiss and setting her back down.I watched as she ran over to Christian and they began to work on a puzzle together. I walked out to the car and put Piper in her seat.

"Well it looks like it's me and you today." i said looking at my smiling baby before closing her door. When we got to the Bakery I walked in with her in my arms and found Madison,Sarah,Monica,Josh,and Spencer all standing around the counter laughing and talking.

"Well isn't it our favorite boss with her little one." Spencer said coming and hugging me then taking Piper out of my hands. I had known all five of them since our 8th grade year and we have been best friends since.

"How did drop off go this morning?" Monica asked me as I walked into my office to put my purse down.

"It was hard. Chase looked terrified. The only one that was fine with leaving me was Christian." I said tearing up. Sarah came and hugged me.

"It will get easier in time. It was hard for me last year with Sam last year but in a couple of weeks it got better." Sarah said. I smiled and took Piper back from Spencer.

"So what did Harry say this morning when you guys Skyped him?" Josh asked while making funny faces at Piper making her giggle.

"He wasn't with the others. He didn't even call." I said walking into the kitchen to begin making more cupcakes.

"Wow you would think he would want to talk to his three kids!" Madison said getting angry.

"It's whatever. I forgot her blanket and playpen in my car so I'll be back." I said grabbing my car keys and phone. When I got out to the car my phone began to ring.I looked and saw it was Harry. I sat in the trunk of my SVU and answered it.

"Hey babe" He said when I answered.

"Hey." I replied while moving a strand of hair out of my face.

"What's wrong?" he asked me. I rolled my eyes.

"I don't. Maybe the fact that three of our children were disappointed that they couldn't talk to their daddy before their first days of school." I said with a hint of annoyance in my voice. I heard him gasp.

"Oh my gosh I forgot about that babe!" He said.

"How could you forget such important milestones in their lives?" I asked with anger.

"I'm sorry babe." He said.

"Whatever I need to go before on of the boys try to take Piper home again." i replied and then I hung up without even saying I love him. I closed my eyes and sighed and put my phone back into my pocket. I stood up and took out the playpen then grabbed her blanket and walked to my office to set it up. Once it was up I went back into the kitchen. Once I was sure I made enough things for today I unlocked the doors for the public and then I took my baby away from Spencer so he could actually do his job.

I walked around to the customers making sure they were enjoying everything. They all said yes and then they would coo over Piper. As we were walking around Piper began to babble.

"Ma....Ma...Mama." she said finally. Realization that she had said her first word came over me and I kissed her cheek.

"Oh my gosh she just said her first word." I told Madison as she walked past me. She cheered and tickled Piper making her giggle and squirm in my arms.They day slowly went on until it was tome for me to pick Chase up.When I got to his school I found him standing by his teacher talking to a couple of other boys. I smiled and stepped out of the car so he could see me.

"Mommy!" He said running and hugging me. I laughed as I picked him up and gave him a kiss. I placed him in his car seat and then got in my seat as he buckled himself. On the way to pick Phoebe and Christian up he never stopped talking about his day.After we picked them up I decided to get us a pizza for tonight. When we got home I got a call from Anne asking to talk to the kids about their days. I gave the phone to Chase and then told him to give it to either Phoebe or Christian when he was done. Once they all finished talking to her we ate and then I gave the twins a bath and put them to bed and then I did the same to Chase. Once he was in bed I mad a baby bath for Piper and then bathed her and then fed her the bottle then put her in bed. i sat down on the couch and fell asleep in my clothes but I didn't care one bit.
