Fighting For What's Left
Chapter 1- On our own
"That's all." I say as I put my last bag in the back of the taxi. "Are you sure you want to do this? You just turned 15!" my mom trying to convince me to stay once again. "It's the best thing for me. I love! I'll visit soon!" I yell to my family as I get in the taxi and drive away. I've been waiting for this moment for just under two years now. I've taken all the test and passed all with a perfect score. The taxi drives a few miles to my friend Jessica's house. She loads her bags in the back along with mine and than joins me up front. "You ready for this?" Jessica ask sorta smiling. "Been ready for two years." I respond. I let out a laugh of relief. Everybody making my life much worse, making fun of me, and taunting me, it's all over, no more. It's silent the last four hours of the drive. I wake up as the taxi stops. I shake Jessica's shoulder to wake her to the breath taking sight. The gate is red with the words "One Direction" labeled in black. The gates open and a society just like my old one appears. The city is new and beautiful. The taxi drops us off at what looks like the main building. I lift the trunk up and Jessica and I grab our luggage. Struggling with our many bags, we finally make it to the door where a luggage cart is and we set out bags on it. I can literally feel my arms sigh of relief from the heavy bags. "You must be Jenna and Jessica, right?" the lady at the front desk ask us. We both nod our heads as she hands us both a key to our apartment. "Apartment complex is Diana, top level, room 17." The lady says. She hands us the paper to remind us. As we walk outside I look around, but see no building called Diana. "It says on this map of the town that Diana is located a mile away from the mall, which is ten miles away from here." Jessica speaks while looking down at her map. We wait for the bus to come for about five minutes. We load the bus and push put luggage cart up the bus ramp. We both sit down and say nothing for the ten minutes. Looking out the window, we both start examine the city and where everything is. The bus comes to a stop just right outside a large building. "Diana" the building marks on the front door. Jessica and I push the cart off the bus and into the building. We get in an elevator and take it up to the top. We walk around the hall until we find room 17. "This is it." I say as I look at Jessica. Jessica looks back at me and than we both look at the door. We're on our own now, but in a much better place. We push the door open together to find a bright room with white walls and red and black furniture. Everything is updated and modern. I walk to my room as Jessica walks to her. I look around to the view. The small spiral stair case leads to the up stairs which is just as breath taking. Posters of the boys are already in the halls. The people have designed our apartment already based on the personality test we both took. I walk to a door that has my names labeled on it and Jessica's is right across from mine. My room has one white wall, two light green, and a dark green. All four walls are covered in posters that are scattered in no particular order. My bed is black and low to the ground. I have a red and white One Direction comforter and pillow to go with all the posters. My two windows are soccer goals with one soccer ball each. I open the closet to start unpacking. About two hours after unpacking all of the clothes and room items, Jessica and I put our picture frames up in the hall. I pull out a picture of my family and she pulls out one of hers. Looking at my family makes me a little sad because I left them. Than I remember it was for the better. It was better for all of us in all of the famdom cities. Unpacking was pretty easy because the apartment was already furnished. It's been a long day and it's coming to an end. The sky is now at it's night phase. I walk outside onto the balcony as Jessica makes us popcorn in the kitchen. The stars are beautiful in the dark navy blue sky. Jessica comes out with the popcorn and we sit there looking in amazement at the stars. "What would happen if we met them? Met One Direction?" I ask Jessica who is deep in eating the popcorn. She looks at me and says in a soft, calm, cheery voice, "It would be amazing.". I nod my head at the stars at agreement of it.
Notes
First chapter! It's kind of like and intro but is still part of the story. There is much more excitement to come and is a million times more exciting than this chapter. Please vote and subscirbe! :)
